Soldiers and HRT

I’m interested to know what the threshold for low T is as well as the approved methods to increase low T. I would bet either enclomidiphene or testosterone cream would be the preferred method to increase levels. Needles and vials are not ideal to keep Soldiers deployable anywhere in the world.

I like the idea of screening for Test, but like above, what's the threshold? What will be the way with which they deal with raising them? Raises a ton of questions.

Honestly it's not a bad idea if they can manage it properly. I think it's a step in the right direction of taking a more complete and nuanced approach to health that many private citizens are already doing on their own. At least with the military they generally have mandatory PT so the vast majority of these guys will take to it decently well. Could be a real mess if police departments for instance just started handing out test to dudes with 45% body fat that haven't so much as jogged in over a decade lol

Aren't all the international bases pretty well stocked with all sorts of med supplies? I'm sure they have plenty of syringes shipped to them annually anyway, probably wouldn't be that big of a deal to add some test vials to their medical supply stocks.

Mixed thoughts. 1. All the concussive brain trauma probably makes a lot of them hypo. 2. Putting young men on test long term will probably jip them and their wives out of some children. 3. If servicemen are forced to be on testosterone then I am not supportive of such a policy. 4. I would not trust the government to do it right. 5. I can't see how this is something that is possible when deployed into a war one. 6. The Germans did it in WWII and they lost.

I work with guy that worked at a lab that would do testosterone pellets implant under your skin. He said they had some that would last 6 months and was trying to test some that would last to a year. Idk how good they are or how well they keep your test levels.

The biggest problem with those is dose adjustment, once it's in its in and you're just kind of along for the ride without a surgical removal of the pellet, which is obviously less than ideal. And apparently the bump it leaves kinda just stays there too, it doesn't really go down much as the pellet becomes inert and stops working after several months. Definitely not a route I would ever consider going down, I'd do the ol' ball gel long before pellets.

How many guys are gonna get popped for already being on unauthorized “TRT” or gear?

Remember, there was a huge scandal in the SEALs a few years back where some dudes died in BUDS and when they found out they were running test, they blamed their deaths on that.

The military attracts some of the dumbest mf’ers in the world — some of the kids in basic training have to be taught how to properly conduct basic hygiene. Really trust these kids to pin themselves and not end up with massive infections that render them non-deployable?

Just a couple initial thoughts

Lol all valid points

Hope it’s done better than th damn VA..

So they can Med board you?
Needing trt just like insulin should be a no go for active duty.. There is not a chance in hell you could take TRT how we got deployed.. S

Would require a permanent profile which essentially ban you from promotion or deployment..

I was in a unit that got popped. It was clear.. lol. First off Nobody was on just testosterone.. fucking idiots would walk right in to a pharmacy in Mosul with zero plans when they redeploy..

Pete is definitely on the juice also.. and good for him.

As a choice, I think screening men over 30 and implementing HRT should already be in place

Like anything else there’s pros and cons to it. Love the mindset and intention but it’s a slippery slope imo. Test might make a guy that’s already a good soldier a little better but it’s not gonna turn a shitty soldier into something great. You either got it or you don’t imo.

First soldier that goes off the rails will ruin it anyway. Everyone will be screaming it’s the tests fault.

Probably not going to happen, if he implements it, it’s going to get challenged. I know a young guy in USMC and it’s a bigger thing now then most probably realize . Doubt it’ll be mandatory, not after all the stuff about Covid vax, I know it’s not near the same, but I can see the POS Dems making it a big thing.

I couldnt see this being viable. What i have seen is many a small young man come out of basic double their size, theres a lot to be said for eating well training hard and sleeping.

It’s not as much about bases, but the possibility of fighting in austere conditions without predictability. We didn’t have much established for the first few months of the Iraq invasion and to say sterile conditions or access to refrigeration or A/C was sparse would be an understatement.

The purpose of these policies is to enhance the readiness and lethality of the force.

Very true. I was a broke college kid before basic training. Access to food alone took me from 145 to 165.

Not good for the guys that cycle or do high doses. They never used to test any of that. only regular random drug test. When I served, I was friends with a big ass black dude. He was a monster. NEver touched any gear. Just one of those genetically gifted guys. Well the higher ups believed he was on steroids so they send him for a panel. All blood work was good and average test levels. So this thread suggests that the guys that are cycling are gonna be screwed if these are random panels

It’s kind of long overdue tbh.

The fact that test is even banned in the first place or could get people booted is comical at best.

You’re training soldiers and killers. You need them to be in peak physical shape—test will make them stronger, faster, allow for more on-demand aggression. You’re going to send them into war where every advantage is needed, but you draw the line on them performance enhancing themselves? Just seems stupid af

Now I also understand the other side of the coin. You don’t want to have people deployed to bum fuck no where where shipping them gear is the least of your concerns (and them being reliant on those hormones). At the same time, just prescribe them some long estered test deconate and call it a day.

Jacked soldiers, more like jacked Air Force RPA (drone) operators Army TUAS (tactical unmanned aircraft system) Operators. That’s what the future of war is heading. And presently is in Iran.

Yes I know the great benefits of our god given hormone Testosterone I’m just sayin.
