this series is part of my compound breakdown series where i will cover compounds in an easy to understand manner. if you have any compounds you would like to see broken down for an easy to understand explanation format, drop them down below. this series is inspired by the folks at @Alpha Sigma Labs and their great work. i would check out their sub forum to find a great community and a great group of wolves in the pack!
What is Halotestin?
Halo is a 17-alpha alkylated oral steroid. Halo is seen as one of the more intense orals. Halo binds to the AR (androgen receptors) in muscle cells. by doing this, halo would promote increased protein synthesis in the body. for a quick fun fact, it is rumored that iron mike tyson would take halo before fights. this compound has seen much use in combat sports like MMA and boxing.
What results does Halotestin produce?
Halo is an extremely potent oral steroid. it can be commonly found in 10mg caps or tablets. most individuals will use halo in amounts of 10, 20, 30, or even 40mg a day. it can be expected that an individual will receive better results by increasing the dosage; however, the side effects will also become much higher and more noticeable as the dose is tapered up. halo is unable to aromatize in the body, so it is known as a dry compound. this means it would have minimal water retention. it is reported that halo has an anabolic to androgenic ratio of 1950-800. although in practical application of the compound, this doesn’t mean a whole lot. however, it is still noteworthy that has a very high ratio. halo can be expected to produce very nice dry gains for users. it is also reported that strength increases are absolutely phenomenal. it’s hard to put an estimate range for how much muscle or mass someone can put on with a compound. we are all highly unique individuals who respond to compounds very differently. the numbers would vary greatly from person to person.
What is the half life of Halotestin?
the half-life of halo is reported to be right around 9 hours. as with halo being an oral, it is typically not ran in very long durations. most halo cycles will only last a few weeks. i could imagine this compound being ran anywhere from 2-3 weeks all the way up to 8-10 weeks.
What are the side effects of Halotestin?
halo, like any AAS compound, will come with some pretty sizable drawbacks. in this world of body building, power lifting, strongman, etc nothing comes without a price. as can be expected with any compound, there are two categories of side effects, mental & physical. halo use could increas anger, anxiety, depression, irritability, mood instability, acne, decreased testosterone production, infertility, liver damage, bodily injury, development of male secondary sex characteristics, and a whole host of other possible side effects. something to note about side effects, they will increase as the dosage of any compound increases. theoretically, someone could take 20mg a day and feel great without any noticeable sides. another person could take 20mg a day and be in the hospital. the biggest con by far with halo is liver damage. orals must be able to survive two passes through the liver, so it will be very hard on this organ. someone who uses halo could expect to see a significant increase in liver health markers trending in very negative directions. this is a genetics & response game that people play with this compound.
What is my opinion on Halotestin?
I think halo could possibly make sense in some certain contexts. i think halo could be best used in a sport like MMA, boxing, martial arts of all kinds, strongman, etc. one of the most interesting parts about halo is crazy strength gains while putting on minimal water. for example when fighters step into the ring, weight classes matter. if someone wants to get stronger, they would normally have to put on some size and move up weight classes. halo could possibly provide an advantage to athletes that need to compete in a specific weight class or want to stay lean with minimal water gain. i think in body building halo doesn’t make much sense. i think there are better options that individuals could possibly pick.
none of this is medical advice or advice anyone should act on. i’m not a doctor, and i never will be a doctor. i just have a simple interest in studying compounds. @Vision @Matt88 @Onidus @Bando let me know how i did guys! again, if anyone wants to see any compounds in this series, drop them down below!
