To the OP...
Welcome to ASF...lol
Funny thing is..theses guys that are giving you a little shit are some of the Best of Us..
We have a unorthodox way of helping at times..
Don't take it hard..we all give guys crap..

But as you can see..
It's a difficult Question for any of us to Answer..
You'll just have to eat right, train Hard and don't forget Recovery isn't just sleep and is a huge 33% of the Equation..
Cheers

Yes, that's why the word "average" is included. Of course, the standard deviation may be very high, which is a very fair point, however, by definition an average must exist. Also, the question asks about personal experiences, which although anecdotal, taken in the aggregate, can still provide information.
An average only exists when there’s studies done with significant amounts of participants who all share very similar statistics, same doses, same nutrition, same training, training intensity… that wouldn’t account for individual genetic response, but would get you as close as possible. Then you would have to follow all these people into their cuts with all variables in place, cardio, nutrition proper caloric deficit as what you’re after is lean tissue to see how much they actually gained. Whenever you find this very complicated study in an underground world done with all these variables in place then we can talk about the average that there “must” be according to you.

Random personal experiences from random guys on the internet do not matter when the only common denominator is the gear unless you’re seeking information for a school presentation that you’ll showcase in front of 10 kids. I’m on Test and Deca at the moment have gained over 20lbs are they 19lbs of flab and water and 1lb of lean mass? Who knows I haven’t cut yet, I also work 15Hr days, sleep about 3hours a night, eat cereal and go hard on the caffeine. Train about 2hours a session. Will my personal experience provide any help whatsoever to your own gains on that 10 week cycle? Probably not.

This guy answers your question, he has some good results.

of course, everybody is going to be different. I too was curious because I'm going on a NPP blast next month, I'm just glad you were the 1 to make the post, not me haha.

Really depends on how you respond. My first cycle was deca and dbol. Gained 30 pounds in 12 weeks little water. I'm a genetic freak though.

Thanks for this, very good information. In 7 weeks, I have put 1.5" on my chest, 1" on each arm, 2" on each thigh, 25 pounds total, with 5 weeks still to go. So, I'm not unhappy because I'm a very hard gainer when it comes to size (easy gainer for strength), however, I'm hoping for more. As for making the post, I don't even notice the haters and trolls; just small minds I will never meet and never know existed.

Just so you have realistic expectations, about 20 pounds or more if that is water weight.

Currently running test + deca atm for my own curiosity. Gaining roughly .5-1lb per week, strength is climbing slowly, still looking good physique-wise.
Training 6 days each week. Eating pretty damn clean with each macro counted/weighed. Solid 8+ hours of sleep each night. Will be getting bloodwork again in November.
Keep in mind though - I'm currently not working due to rupturing my achilles tendon last August and undergoing surgical repair so I've got plenty of free time and no stressors in my life beyond boredom. Won't be back at work until December.

I don’t do Deca period but with that said I have friends and know people who put on a ton of water weight. Do you really think in 5 days workout you can put on 5 pounds of muscle?
Anyway good luck and keep your sodium intake low, drink ton of water and watch out for your estrogen levels.

Sodium is super low, and I'm also supplementing a lot of potassium, taking Anastrozole to keep estrogen in check, and using powerful anti-inflammatory meds. Overall, I know I've gained some water weight, but I also know I'm forcing it to the bare minimum with a very careful diet and supplementation. I'm keeping very detailed records, with daily weight and tape-measure measurements, daily macros, recording all workouts. Eight weeks out after the cycle will tell the true story, so only time will tell.

Dude, I will guarantee you, from someone who does deca or NPP on every cycle, that it is not possible to put on 25 pounds of just muscle in that amount of time. If that was the case, everyone here would be 300 pounds ripped. Your denial is setting yourself up for disappointment. You will lose 80 percent, if you’re lucky, of that weight in 6 weeks or less after your cycle. But hey, believe what you what. Good luck.

Making all the mistakes I see. NEVER restrict sodium. NEVER take AIs willy nilly, only AFTER blood tests confirm high estrogens. Daily weight and tape? FFS, you must be going mad. Put that shit away.

Wanna know what my chest and arms tape out at? I have no fucking clue because it doesn’t fucking matter.

I agree with every single thing you said.

Sodium is my favorite thing in the entire world — I salt all my food and have no issues. I have BP issues if I eat out and eat shitty sodium filled junk. If I restrict sodium, id be so dehydrated it’d be insane.

Fuck an ai — primo/mast/eq all day long. Don’t preventatively take an ai. Take it if you have symptoms or confirm via bloods.

I try to not even step on the scale on a bulk, let alone measure shit. It messes with my head. I always laugh when people track their stats. I’ve thought about tracking girth of testes though — I figure that’s a good way to track progress.

Restrict sodium and your body produces aldosterone, which in turn prevents your body from purging sodium. Then you get HBP. Eat sodium regularly and you will all but stop aldosterone production. Then you load and purge it in regular, homeostatic fashion.
All the fatties worry about sodium.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. I had one coach tell me to restrict sodium for all meals except pre and post. It’s safe to say it didn’t work out lol
