I avoided the anthrax vaccine with an elaborate shell game for half the second deployment, when the vaccine was coming in and out of “mandatory”. I was literally the last person in the battalion to get it. Someone pulled me from my workstation and walked me over to medical, both times.
I was prepared to be sent home rather than that but I basically shamed myself into getting it rather than leave my sailors.
I regret getting it but that vax didn’t ever have close the notoriety these ”vaccinations” have.

A friend of mine who is a health/life insurance broker hired lawyers to get his two sons out of the military just so that they wouldn't have to get the clot shot and not have less than honorable discharges. I believe that they wound up with honorable but RE-R4 codes.

I'm with ya brother that's all I need too. I just got a new job and for onboarding the regional asked me for my Covid card. I was sweating it b/c I already had turned my notice in my other job...told her I didn't have a card and wasn't getting any vaccine. Thankfully she let me do a religious exempt.

Just a FYI, I’m not a leftist, I’m a centric democrat, not that it matters. And I just lazily typed that, I have a very extensive and long church background. We have had, some still living, 9 pastors in our family. My mom is a deacon at our family church. I was baptized, Sunday schooled, Bible studied, confirmed and an altar boy for 4-5 years.

Don’t put me in a box brother. I told you before that you and I have more in common than you might think. I just chose to take my own path. I have no problem with religion and respect your choice to follow.

Churches are where Christianity gets hijacked imo. So many form opinions of faith in Jesus, based on church experiences.

Gotta agree. For me it was a force fed control device applied by those whom had a standard for others. My limited belief in “Christ” is not singular in the sense of following his teachings. I think being a responsible, good person having a moral compass doesn’t need to come from anything or anyone other than yourself.

That’s about as churchy as I get lol.

I have been to many churches, before and after I was saved, I left every church experienced either disappointed, or disgusted.

I know you know this well, but it is very curious how so many greedy corrupt billionaires have embraced the faith of Christianity with the idea of trying to hide their sins.

If so many people reject Jesus, it is not because of his original teachings, but because of all the ruthless by the powerful who uses Jesus, He hated those people and did not want to found a church or a religion.

The problem is that there are always new men to fool, be it with old tricks or modern ones. It is the responsibility of those who know, to speak and try to warn the inexperienced, even if most will not listen.
