Various news stories you don't hear on MSM. Feel free to add news.

If America were truly founded on Christianity, the government would have enforced doctrine like Europe did, but the Founders knew religion had been forced on people for centuries, sparking wars and persecution. Even in the colonies, Baptists were jailed for preaching without licenses. That’s why the Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and freedom from it. The foundation wasn’t Christianity, it was liberty, built to protect people from ever having faith imposed on them again.

Well said. The government doesn’t force Christianity, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t shape America. The Founders, trying a bold experiment in freedom, knew the dangers of mandatory religion because Christian values were already a big part of society. Laws and everyday life reflected honesty, justice, responsibility, and respect for life. For example, early laws against theft and murder were based on Christian ethics. Even with freedom of religion, the culture and rules were mostly shaped by Christianity.

Doesn’t Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism have rules against theft and murder?

Isn’t that a really standard idea that most civilisation reach on their own?

Yeah, that case got thrown out. The court dismissed it because "Tiffany" didn’t meet the legal requirements to move forward, so the judge never actually ruled on whether any of the alleged events happened.

Man, we could go back and forth all night, but we’re not gonna agree and that’s cool. I get where you’re coming from, hope you see my side too. Been a minute since I had a history debate like this 👍

Everyone’s got their pick. You could argue others had a big impact too. Ethan Allen is one. He led Vermont’s revolutionaries and influenced early victories, but he’s rarely listed among the main Founding Fathers. You're probably referring to Dr. Samuel Prescott.
Bravo to your last 6 posts.

Lack of Christian values plays a big role in the degradation of our society. Unfortunately as time goes on God is pushed further out of our society.
There’s not a single facet of Christianity that states to force it on anyone.

There are tons of secular/non-Christian cultures that most people would think are better (for lack of a better word) than ours. I know I’ve been bashing Christians, but I’ll happily bash extremist of all religions.

I truly 100% support you or anyone else practicing your religion in peace. I refuse to be forced to practice anyone else’s religion.

As a Christian, I’m aware enough to admit that yes, there are bible thumper types out there that will in fact force it on you or judge for themselves who is or isn’t going to hell. The bible teaches (in addition to not judging others) to spread the word of God and encourage others. There’s a big difference between spreading the word and forcing it on others. If you want to learn or have the discussion then great, if not it should end there.

100%. Like you said, the further we get from it, the worse our culture seems to become. I honestly wish they made it mandatory in schools, at least so kids could grow up with some values. If someone wants to stray later, that’s on them.

A lot of parents these days are just terrible. Too caught up in TikTok and other mind-numbing distractions. That’s why my kids go to a Christian private school with mandatory religion classes. Some may call it brainwashing or indoctrination, but I see it as giving them a foundation. Beats the hell out of teaching them to be a liberal cuck. I’d rather have them learn about Christianity than be taught about trannies and faggots at the age of six🙄

youre putting a blanket statement on a group. havent seen any protests or cities roiting and burning over CK, at least not yet

Funny enough and I know people like to drag Jehova Witnesses, but when they show, I tell them I’m not interested and they just leave. I dint have anything against them practicing their faith, and they are extremely friendly when they leave.

JWs dont preach to you unless you ask they do whats called cart witnessing where they will sit in local ares but they dont preach they just say hello and are pleasent. They only go door to door to hand out watch tower pamphlets and inform people they are having a special talk and invite people to the hall they dont preach. They are actually a very pleasant bunch and do a lot of fun community things together
Im not a JW BTW but attended a few meetings

Being a Christian is your identity, it is who you are in Christ as a believer. It is how God sees you, you are “in Christ”
before becoming believer you are dead in sin because you're born sinner
romans 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

You become the righteousness of God by faith, so by believing and receiving is a change in your heart not your behavior, its recognizing who you are and acknowledging who Jesus is and the Father is.
ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—;not by works, so that no one can boast.

You are no longer a son of disobedience as a christian, no longer a born sinner. Whichin fact is why people sin, they are not sinners because they sin, they sin because they are born sinners.

Its equivalent of me being born Italian, I can’t change to black, thats impossible for man to do. Neither can a black man change to Italian, also impossible for man to do. Yet, with God all things are possible. He changes out identity when we are born again spiritually. Its never been about behavior modification.

I did too, 1st -12th grade, my son doesn’t anymore unfortunately but I make an effort to instill those values in him. Even in 5th and 6th grade I had to hear about kids being furries in his class and the teachers going along with it. Then even at that young age some class mates are saying they’re gay and transgender too. It’s insane but like you said, parents these days are just terrible.

youre not Roman Catholic? I just expected all Italians were baptized by their grandmothers in the kitchen with a spaghetti strainer, or is that just me

Don’t forget the other kind of Jehovah’s Witness. The one where you open the door and they hold you hostage with a two-minute ear fuck, like a salesman pushing a $23,000 Kirby vacuum from 1987. About 13 seconds in I’m already yelling ‘get off my property,’ wishing I could slam the door straight through their body.

Always enjoyed talking to JW's. They are very knowledgeable and challenging to most Christians. I disagree with them substantially, but I give props to their level of Bible education.

they have a more black and white literal approach to the bible, the congregation near me meet on the beach we do fire pits and sometimes have a few beers or at least I do I bring beer.

I apologize for the book in advance🙏

I couldn’t agree more.
What you’ve written captures the mystery of faith.

It isn’t about polishing up our behavior or pretending to be something we’re not, it’s about identity.
Before Christ, we were bound in sin by birth; but in Him, we are reborn.
As Romans says, Adam’s fall made us sinners, yet Christ’s obedience makes us righteous.
That is not earned by our striving but received by faith, a gift freely given.

You’re righ, sin flows not because people choose it randomly, but because it’s in our nature apart from God.
And just as no man can change his ethnicity by will, no sinner can change his own heart by effort.
But with God, the impossible becomes possible.
Through grace, He changes our very nature—He gives us new life, a new identity, a new spirit.

That’s why the gospel isn’t behavior modification; it’s transformation.
It’s not a mann made shift, it’s a God given rebirth.✝️

I have a certificate of baptism at one week old but the only God I ever heard in my house was follwed up “…dammit” haha

When you study the concept of judging Christ tells us explicitly to judge rightly and not to judge hypocritically. It's a nuanced topic that isn't readily evident on the surface. Paul later tells us to judge simple matters and that one day we will judge the angels. It's a fascinating topic.

That’s exactly why I said fuck no. Young minds are way too easily influenced. You get some lesbian psychopath teacher planting these ideas, and kids will latch onto them. Shit, my son would be a damn dinosaur if we allowed it.

The fact that kids nowadays even know about trannies, homosexuals, and all this other weirdo shit just blows my mind. My sister was telling me about her son coming home with homework , and one of the questions, if I remember right, was literally ‘What are ways transgender people have sex?’ I told her straight up: pull his ass out of that school. I’ll pay for his private schooling.

I’m not about to stand by and let my nephew get turned into one of these freaks and then end up influencing my own kids or God forbid him ultimately blowing out his brains because he didn't realize the mistake he was making.. If you don't teach your kids, somebody else will.

I also tend to view scripture literally when appropriate. I was surprised when I spoke to them about eschatology though. They got way more allegorical for my tastes but otherwise they were somewhat literal. However not nearly literal enough in my humble opinion. One guy quoted James 2:17 to me about doing works recently. When I asked him who James wrote to, he had no answer, so I asked him to read James 1:1. He clearly didn't take the passage as literally as I did but it was a friendly talk.
