So used oral fin in the past. Didn't like it. Hair is thinning so need to do something about it. My main concern is exposure to my 5 month old daughter with topicals. Anyone have success with topical dut. I hear because the molecular weight is heavier than fin less goes systemic thus having less sides. Also hear you only need to apply it once a week. Not sure how that works though. Any thoughts?

Dutasteride works better than Fin and you only need it every 5 days. I tried both oral and topical Dut before my hair transplant. I couldn't stand the topical. Horrible dandruff, I looked like someone poured salt on my head. I had awful greasy hair and I was constantly scratching my head like an ape. My doctor told me topical often causes dizziness but I didn't have that.

Remember, Fin and Dut DO NOT REGROW HAIR. They only slow the loss. Minoxidil will give some regrowth on the top. Fin and Dut worked for me for about 7 years then my recession started again. I was told that is common. Eventually it cant stop the recession anymore which is why I got the transplant.

Thanks man. You experience any sides from the fin. Heard some guys say it hindered gains in the gym and gave them a feminization affect?

I have oral dutasteride if u need it. PM me for purchase.

Nizoral 2% is a trick I learned years back. Can thicken and stop hair loss. . You take a dime sized amount and massage into scalp. Let sit 2-5 mins then rinse. The issue is that an average person scrubs their scalp and rinses off immediately. That doesn't work.

It blocks dht and although some people will tell u regrowth is possible I will tell u i have seen it with this.. how we see partial regrowth.. so I prob have seen up to 25% regrowth. It can improve your hairline for fact but it will not solve baldness.

The 2% Ketoconazole definitely helped me with my thickness.

Make sure to also follow up with a good conditioner as well because it can dry your hair out a little. I like the hims brand Thick Fix.

I had my hair transplant at Solve in Chicago. Ive seen too many botched overseas transplants and when they fuck up, you have to pay to go back. The US is more expensive but the easy aftercare is worth it. Is mine perfect, no, but you'd have to be 3 inches away from me to see its not perfectly thick. In fact, my doctor recently asked why I was on Fin as I had a perfect head of hair.

I'm still on the fence about oral fin. How did you decide whether or not it was worth the risk? I feel like its totally 50/50 where one person gets sides and another doesnt. Very stressed trying to make a decision

I had no issues with oral fin but it is a temporary solution if you have MPB. Worked about 10 years for me. There are many guys here who say hair isnt that important. Ask your female friends/co-workers what they think of bald guys or guys with badly receding hair/bald spots. They dont like it plus it makes you look 10 years older. Go on Reddit under "Tressless" subforum... Lots of good info on fin, Minoxidil and hair transplants.
