A lot of guys say wait until you’re 25 or older, and they’re right. Life happens fast. At 19, most people don’t have real stability yet. You’re just getting started, and things fall apart quick when you don’t have a foundation. You’ve got to live and learn, and trust me, you will.
Also, 156 pounds? Unless you’re 3 feet tall, that’s way too light to be thinking about gear.
At 19, your focus should be on building a career and getting your life sorted, not just the gym. If you go all in on lifting now and ignore everything else, you’ll blink and be 30, driving a Civic, living in your mom’s spare room, and broke from chasing a dream that never paid you back. I'm not saying don't give it your all, because a lot of us did. Just make sure you don't forget about life in the meantime.. sounds like you need to get your priorities straight little guy.
