I was bench pressing and while pushing to get the last rep in I heard my shoulder make 3 tearing/popping noises. I have full range of motion still and I dont seem to have lost any strength but I am getting pain when I move my arm certain ways. It's sharp pain.

I will go and get my shoulder looked at tomorrow. But does anyone have any idea what kind of injury that would be? If it was rotator cuff I thought I would have limited range of motion.

I have that in my shoulder, its a pinching feeling where i cant rotate or raise my arm past a certain angle, it puts out a little pain, I can still do front and side raises but at just the right angle Ill have that pinch/pain feeling. I also feel like flat barbell bench irritates the area but I don't have any pain when doing flat bench, just when I start trying to stretch my peck Ill feel it some. I had a slight partial tear in my shoulder many years ago.

Bro, how’s your shoulder? You doing ok? Did you get an mri done?

A check I was taught for rotator cuff a long time ago was put the arm that is in question straight out from the shoulder and make a thumbs up. Have someone push down and see it it hurts or you can resist it being pushed down. Do it again but with your thumb pointing out to the side like you hitch hiking, then with your thumb pointed to the otherside. Finally, try to do it with your thumb down. If you feel pain or the arm is too weak to resist the downward pressure someone is putting on it, its a good chance its a cuff injury.

I was having dull aching pain when i wake up and I would get sharp pain and I would have weakness with certain movement. I tried not to use my injured shoulder. But I was having no pain at rest.

I did not get an MRI I am waiting to see how my shoulder heals. I started BPC-157/TB-500 500mcg injected into the shoulder dally and anavar 10mg PO daily to help with healing. I have been on a few IUs of HGH daily for a year.I started that 4 days ago and today I am not experiencing any pain when I wake up, at rest or with normal use. I still get sharp pain with certain movement and I still have some weakness. My shoulder definetly isn't healed by any means. But that combination I believe worked as a strong anti inflammatory to help reduce the pain.

I have only worked out upper body once in the last 3 weeks. Tomorrow I am going to do chest with really light weight and high reps and see how it goes.

💯. Last November I tore my rotator cuff doing a 1RM on bench press. They performed the “oil can tests” as they called them if I recall correctly. Where mine really failed was the thumbs down resistance. An MRI later and it confirmed a 69% tear in my Supraspinatus tendon and several small tears in my labrum and also discovered a few bone spurs and arthritis for good measure. 🙄

I chose not to have surgery against the advice of the orthopedic surgeon. I’ve rehabbed pretty well. Both of my shoulder are a mess and I do shoulder rehab exercises and stretching/mobility exercises every day before each workout. I believe it’s made a world of difference. I will continue on this path until im forced to have surgery. But hopefully that never happens.

Im gonna be sounding like a mother hen but just be careful. While using something to help alleviate pain and inflammation is good, just remember pain is there for a reason...its nature ways of saying "Dont do that cuz youre hurt!" I tore a cuff years ago and it took a while to get it all back. One other check for the cuff is sit down, reach behind you like you were trying to get something out if the backseat of the car and lift a small weight straight up. When my cuff got hurt I couldnt even lift the g/f's purse out of the back seat. Now granted, I think she carried 3 cinder blocks in the damn thing but still...

I’ve found that when I’m lifting, when I can anticipate and also engage muscle groups that the discomfort is not real bad. I’ve learned to keep shoulders back and down and also to adjust the angle of my arms some as well as adjusting hand position on the bar and some other things will allow me to take pressure off of what makes the shoulders more painful.

But I’ve also learned that this will likely never be 100%. I will likely always have soreness and some pain from lifting. But I deal with it the best I can. Some days are better than others.

I am a little bit sore. Today is the first time I did chest in two weeks. It's not bad. If I go slow and engage the right muscled there is no soreness. I am going very light.

But the problem is I am half retarded when I don't immediately feel pain. I will hear Ronnie Coleman yelling "light weight baby!!" in my head and I will go for a PR. 🤣🤣

So I just need to not forget I am hurt.

As an update my shoulder is almost pain free. . I just get soreness occasionally when lifting. Today I did about 50% of my max and it felt fine, just a little sore. My shoulder is also no longer sore to the touch. It's not healed fully, but I could not be happier with how quickly the healing has progressed. A shoulder injury is my worst fear.

Do you think the bpc worked or was it just time to heal it?

That's great to hear your shoulder's on the mend...hoping it was just a strain so be careful going back to your normal routine.

What dosage bpc-tb 500 did you do? I’m starting this week and only see a recommendation of 7.5 iu a day .

What are your vials mg?

You dose is mg not IU unless it comes pre constitute because the IU mean nothing until you mix it and, the volume of water used will change the dose.

If you have a sharp pain, you should probably get professional help.

You are not wrong. But my shoulder is back to 100% and has been pain free for more than 2 months. My strength isn't all the way back maybe 90% of pre injury. But I will take it lol A few more weeks and I should be back to atleast as strong as I was.

Mine is 10mg. I used 3 ML of water to mix it.
