Hey gents,

New here! But not completely new to the world of sports medicine. Really have appreciated what I’ve learned here from yall so far, great resource. I just got my bloods (attached) - and my T was low (200, free was 50) - so tomorrow I start TRT.

Questions for you guys:
1. What should I know before TRT?
2. Other supplements I should try?
3. Liver/kidney support for TRT?
4. What should I know before getting on gear? Considering Mast, Primo, and Sust, in addition the TRT I start tomorrow. Thought I’d go higher test; then try the Mast. Thoughts?

Some facts:
Age:36, Height 6 foot, weight: 210
Medical history: nothing, no heart, no allergy, etc.
Workout: In my 20s I did competitive powerlifting. All natural. Have never done oils or SARMS to my knowledge, but tried a lot that wouldn’t show on a test. Took 2nd in my first competition. Did a few, and coached.
Currently on: GLP1s and Secretalogues (IGF1 is consistently high end)

Thanks fellas!

Honestly to start off with just stick to your TRT, you are going to get blood again in a few months to see how you react and get another blood test. Honestly, a lot more goes into it to do it right. You want to see how what it does to your estrogen levels, hemoglobin, etc as well as your test. Dont start an AI until you get this, you may not need it.

After that you can blast and cruise.

Do you know your dose yet?

That makes sense. My intention was to stay at the initial TRT dose for at least 4 weeks, then get bloods, and see if anything is off. I do recognize stronger compounds higher doses are dependent on bloods & time.

My initial dose is 200mg Test C as I understand it. Would you advise staying there for more than a month, if bloods look good at a month?

Thanks!

4 weeks is a little soon, I think most places do 6weeks.

I started at 160 because there was a mixup and they originally wanted to start me at 140.

You have to go by your goals. Do you just want to feel healty and better or are you looking to radically improve your physique. At a 200 test level, you are going to see amazing results just on the 200/week for a while. I snapped back in to shape after a really crappy few years.

I’d say improving my physique, a good
Amount, is my goal. I wouldn’t say radically.

Right now, I lift 5 days a week, jog 21 miles a week, and am generally quite active… but I’d like to be a much leaner 210+

I’ve been losing weight since 270, last year. I competed and lifted at 240 after dropping water weight, but walked around at 265.

I don’t want to be that heavy, but getting to 15% BF at 210+, maybe up to 220 might be a goal I could see? Approx 22% BF now is my guess.

You'll have no issues getting lean while taking 200mg of test.

Get a good diet and training program going and stick to your TRT.

Answers to your questions:
1. Patience is key when starting TRT. As recommended above use the first 6 weeks to get used to it and dialing in you AI dose, if needed.
2. Supplements that are widely researched, cost effective and work. Creatine and caffeine. As money allows you can fall down the rabbit hole of pre, intra and post workout supps. Can’t go wrong with a protein supp for conscience, if needed.
3. Use a cycle support, you can find some from vendors on here or various other places.
4. Cycles are very different than TRT. Generally consider the darkside a marathon and not sprint. Only add one additional compound per cycle. First few should be test only, so you can dial in your AI dose at the higher test level.

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!

1. That’s good to know. So expect to wait more like two months to get TRT and AI doses dialed in if needed. Is it ideal to live on TRT w an AI? Or is the ideal plan w TRT to titrate up or down till AI isn’t required? Ie if I liked how 200 felt, but needed a mild ai is that unhealthy?

3 - could you clarify what you mean by support cycle? Do you mean organ support stuff? Milkthistle, etc?

4 - Makes sense. I have read of guys bringing down their TRT dose, as low as they can or are comfortable. Let’s say I do find 200mg/wk test OK. When I wanted to do my first cycle would do, say, 400 test?

Thanks! 🙏

your better off starting at 100mg for trt...you may encounter e2 issues on 200mg by week 5-8
Thanks Markenarten. I’d heard my doctor starts people on 200. Maybe I will start at 100.

If I start w 200, and got labs more frequently, say at 2 and 4 weeks, would that help me get better control and intervene w an AI faster if required? Do they work fast?

🙏

its impossible to predict e2 because everyone is different, to avoid negative issues with trt, go slow, start at 100mg get bloods 5weeks later to see where your e2 is, you may get lucky and still be in range, maybe not, but you need to keep e2 in range or your trt could cause the same problems your trying to avoid, more is not always better with trt, liver support is a must and try dim 200 and calcium d glucarate, which will metabolise excess e2 without sides, but it wont work if your e2 is sky high because your shooting too much test....personally test prop is far better than cyp and eth, if you can handle the frequent injections, insulin syringes make it easier, you don't need a lot for trt...

1. It would be ideal to not have to take an AI with TRT. One less thing you are having to account for. Each person converts differently so if you do have to I would not consider it a bad thing. In your example if you needed 200 mg to match your goals and needed an AI at that dose, not a big deal at all.

3. Correct. They make all in ones or some guys just pick and choose. I like 5% Nutrition Liver and Organ Defender. There is a new supp company as a sponsor here you may also want to check out Thrival.

4. Correct, minimum effective dose is the name of the game if you have an eye on longevity and minimizing sides. 400 mg would be a reasonable place to start cycling if your BF is at a good point.
