Needle disposal

Don't throw them in the trash. I take mine to the needle exchange and they incinerate them.
 
Where do I find these places? Just google it for my area? Can I just fill up an empty protein bottle and take them over in that?

That's kind of what a buddy does but he uses laundry bottle.

I throw them in empty protein jugs or rtd bottles and then just throw them in the trash
why is throwing them in the trash not a good idea, I guess I haven't thought about it

I put them in an empty box from one of my deliveries then close it and throw it in the trash, but I like the protein jug idea better lol

Okay, so it sounds like most everybody throws them in the trash, but someone said that's bad. Is it bad to throw them in the trash, and why?

The only thing I can think of is it being really irresponsible to just trash them, they are listed as a biohazard once used so trash at your own risk. I personally use a sharps container and it's really cheap probably fits 2 years of pins for 3 bucks and then just drop it off for free also

Sounds more like it's trash them at everybody else's risk, lol
 
I still have every pin I've ever used, I need to find one of these exchanges and drop them off...but I've noticed at my gym in the locker room there's a sharps container. I've considered bringing all mine to the gym and cramming them in there and letting the gym dispose of them properly haha

You mean you guys toss your needles? I just clean mine with bleach and us them until they bend or break. I'll take your guys used needles if you don't want them....... Lol.

We have a drop off I've yet to use. I get the your on roids from a lot of people. The wife said she would drop them off for me lol.

i looked up all my local ordinances or whatever for needle disposal and there was no clear answer..i looked online for a drop off center and there was not one close....i went to cvs and asked the guy behind the desk if he knows any place...he says oh ya you can take them to the police station...im like get the fuck out of here im not taking my used syringes to the police station.....there is no clear answer on proper disposal in my city so i just put them in old protein containers....gorilla taped them closed and wrote on the outside do not recycle and then tossed it in the trash....oh ya also on the back of a sharps container i had it said that i could drop it off at the post office...im not fucking doing that either.

I've looked into this in my area and pretty much came up with the same. Mine go into a 5lb protein tub. Once it's full I tape the lid on and toss it in the trash barrel.
 
If you look it up by the county or city you're in. Mine takes me to the sheriffs website, but then that website tells you local pharmacys you can take it to (not sheriffs office).
