Lokthan's Cycle Log

Allow for a cheat meal (dinner )on wednesday. Not a cheat day... that is to many unrestricted calories, carbs, fats, etc. During the week try keeping carbs at 100gr.or less. Have your ,cheat meal on wednesday, and carb up on sunday/refeed.
Also, you may consider getting some bcaa/eaa's . This will help tremendously, because of the lower carb intake. Still allowing you energy to keep pushing , harder ,longer,.

@ Mace was you ever in the neighborhood of 10% body fat?

Yes, most of my years before marrage and kids.

Read this on aminos and fasted cardio,
While most amino acids are metabolized in the liver BCAAs are metabolized primarily by muscle. Despite their structural similarities the three branched chain amino acids have different metabolic routes. The breakdown of leucine is accomplished solely through fat pathways. Valine is broken down solely through carbohydrate pathways, and isoleucine through both. The different metabolic pathways of these three amino acids lead to varying requirements for each.
BCAAs, unlike most other amino acids, are metabolized in within muscle tissue, allowing them to be oxidized (used as energy) by muscle cells to produce cellular energy in the form of ATP. ATP is the primary source of energy that fuels muscle contraction and allows you to lift weights.

The fact that leucine, isoleucine, and valine are metabolized within muscle tissue allows them to be a quick energy source when the body needs it. There is a significant increase in BCAA metabolism during prolonged exercise simply because the body requires more energy during periods of stress such as training. This makes BCAAs incredibly effective when taken around the time of your workout routine.
BCAAs have been proven in many studies to be a potent performance enhancer, and as previously mentioned, BCAAs make a great energy source for working muscles because of their unique metabolism. This can have a positive impact on performance. Not only can BCAAs be used as energy themselves but they also enhance fat oxidation in glycogen depleted subjects. This allows individuals to train harder for longer without fatigue due to the higher energy demands being met. This goes for both high intensity training as well as endurance training.

the amino acid leucine has also shown promise for increasing insulin sensitivity. Essentially, insulin sensitivity ensures that the insulin within your body maintains its effectiveness. This leads to easier fat loss, more muscle growth, and defense against diabetes.

I don't put my pics up here for reasons and this will probable be the last you .see

Oh on a side note, my traps are getting FUCKING HUGE. Been getting compliments left and right from friends and and people at the gym about them. :winkfinger:

Traps are looking great. I can see the progress! You also have tightened up around the midsection. You can see a big difference. Keep up the good work. Your getting some great advice ,from some knowledgeable people on here. Keep at it! a nice steady pace !

I really refute any logical reason for cheat meals, BCAA supplementation and lowering sodium intake. A weekly net caloric/energy deficit and adequate protein consumption mitigates any benefits from them.

There is a myriad of peer-reviewed journals and even meta-analyses on both BCAA use and the efficacy of planned overfeedings. They have never been shown to have any benefit. Do a quick search over on PubMed or read up on the published journals of Alan Aragon, Eric Helms or Menno Henselmens on the subjects.

Good luck!

Sat sunday- high carb?

Also I take lots of bcaas!

No gym today, rest day for once. Last night did a very easy pretty boy workout and had an amazing pump.

Hands are numb 90% of the day, still absolutely painful at night time. I have a massage tomorrow to see if it's a pinched nerve somewhere, only happens when I'm laying down.

Sleep quality has started to go down hill.. Dreams are so vivid they feel more real than lucid dreams. Woke up with my sleep apnea mask off too. Crazy stuff

Woke up at 220 today, high carb weekend. Since I've made my weekdays low carb <100g and my weekends high carb ~250g I've been feeling a lot better

Waist is down an inch right now, more and more veins showing up

If there is any way you can find time to do fasted cardio for 30-40 minutes at a good intensity, fat will shed much more quickly.

Workout for today was arms. Ive been doing high volume workouts this week to throw in some muscle confusion and its been amazing, solid pumps, great vascularity and definition.

On a side note, got some caber from my friend until my caber gets here and i took my .5 dose monday night.. needless to say i threw up 4 times and failed a pt test. Sigh. 2nd dose is tomorrow but im going to bump it down to .25. Before anyone asks i dont think it was prami. Curious though, before i threw up each time, i would break out in extreme sweat and almost pass out, any thoughts?
