So outside of hack squats and barbell squats, I am curious what some of your favorite leg exercises or even just intensity techniques are.

After dealing with issues from my hamstring surgery for 18 months, I stumbled across egoscue and it completely changed my posture which has actually improved my lower body response to training. I can feel the actual targeted muscles work. Like an improved MMC.

Having discovered smith machine RDLs (discovered I have horribly weak psoas which is preventing my from keeping my low back arched during traditional RDLs) I’ve made them a staple in leg days as they help me get a better stretch without compromising my low back while I work on strengthening my psaos.

But it’s got me wondering what some of y’all’s favorite exercise (or even just intensity techniques like drop sets, giant sets etc) are

Had a Pendulum SQ at one of the gyms I was going to (they had this machine for 20 yrs and no one touched it) but I liked it and used it.
I got a Belt Squat for my home gym last year, and its easily a favorite now. Getting harder to load my spine these days w/ heavy weights (but I still do) just not as often.
The Belt-Sq actually decompresses the spine while working legs heavy. I do also have one of those Powertec Leverage Squats as well, a really good machine.
The guy I got it from was a Powerlifter and he welded wider foot plates on it since those are fairly narrow. Also works well.

I'm having a bigger garage built so I can move my gym out there and "finish" the old "under the house" double-garage into more living space.
So Im thinking a "hack / leg press" unit might be in my future. Havent done them since leaving the last broccoli-head hangout. (AKA 'gym').

Got my normal Power-rack for squats and also a Smith...
