I did chest and lats for first time this week (this post got to me lol). 27g, 5/8” and low TRT volume (0.1 to 0.15ml)

Chest is fine but one of my lats feels like I got thrown down and kicked repeatedly in it lol. Well, not that bad - was able to do a back workout yesterday but holy moly it is sore

Might add the pecs for when I need more spots (if I run YK or something like that), but otherwise probably skip the lats. That and it was hard to see where the veins were in the lats - but that might have just been the lighting as they’re pretty clear otherwise…

Anyway, good stuff trying out new things. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you. Ta da…

I have found that delts seem to be the most tricky spot to pin for me. Don’t really have problems with any other spot.

That’s funny because lats are the easiest most pain free spot in my rotation lol it’s crazy how everybody is different

Right?

But to be fair it’s just the first time and maybe gets better (almost certainly would), but of all the muscles’ cherries, this one was the most painful to pop

Have you braved quads yet? I want to try the vastus lateralis but all of the quad horror stories have me spooked.

My side delts always leak oil after I pin. IDK why. they feel great to pin

Yep, I’m pretty sure that’s what happens to me as well. I even use the air lock method to try and lock the oil in there but I’m still 50/50 for some reason

Started TRT with glutes and quads. Had a couple just moderate pip injections and then came here and read all the horror stories and took them out of the rotation lol

Still use them for YK as a low volume site though, but not for larger injections. Too spooky

After getting a fat necrosis lump in my side delt last year I've only been doing Glutes and Thighs which I f'ing hate. Luckily the lump has shrunk but still there and will always be so I'm not taking the chance injecting them anymore.
I pinned my quad back in February ONCE, the next day I had a small pain andlimp but the following day, which was my sons engagement party I couldn't walk. I was paralyzed on my right leg and it took me 8 days to get over the pain... and this is the same feeling I'm having in my right upper arm which sucks.
I took a selfie pointing to wear I pinned and asked chatgpt... she told me it was too low on my delt, and that I should've gone about 2 inches higher toward my shoulder... I didn't follow the 2-3 finger rule... my bad.

Are you tensing up when you reach across to pin? How are you holding your arm?

Nope. I put my hand on the opposite shoulder and let it hang like it’s in a sling
I wonder if that’s tensioning the muscle. I always let mine hang by my side.

I ask because I have a buddy with she same issue on the delts.

For the lats, I just throw my hand on the top of my head and go “lower armpit”. So simple, I used to twist and bend and grab the door frame.. was a mess 😂

I’ll give it a shot in the morning and check back. Right delt is tomorrow’s pin location

Find the bone in the middle on the top, 2 finger lengths down. Perfect spot.

Lmk know how it goes bro 🤞🏼

It’s probably a little early in the day to be definitive, but a combination of pinning higher on my delt and letting my arm completely hang seems to have been a winning combination. I believe you were right that the way I was holding my shoulder was slightly tensing it up. Thanks bro!

Hell yea bro! That’s good to hear!

Do we have rules against posting a pic of a pin in the muscle? Its so much easier to show than trying to describe.

Would be a super useful asset to the whole community to be able to see where people inject. I’d bet half of us use different spots and call them VG for instance

If the needle/syringe is off limits, would say a nicely sharpened pencil with the tip (always, just the tip) at the spot where you’d inject be ok I wonder?

I know I pinned too low and outside... Like a umpire calling it a Ball before the ball was ever thrown...lol

My right hand shakes alot sometimes when I'm pinning my glutes and I always get bad PIP on my right cheek because the needle is just moving around wayyy too much
.

I do my Test-E/Mast-E injects EOD and do a 4 way rotation of: R upper thigh, R Ventrogluteal, L Ventrogluteal, L upper thigh.
