Get Shredded!
I have zero doubt you are going to awesome tomorrow Bando. I'm rooting and pulling for you!!
Thanks brother! I recruited one of my old best friends from HS to run with me tomorro. He’s a hardcore runner though. Like he does a 50k 1-2 times a year. Fortunately he got injured last year and hasn’t been running so hopefully I can keep up lol.

Anyways, you and I are coming up close to the midway point. I’ve been mailing it in more lately and not really focusing but still getting the tasks done. After this weekend I plan to refocus and start being more intentional. Also business is picking up for me due to the season so I’m having to be more judicious with my time.

Keep on keepin on EJ!

When I've found my mind starts to wonder I created a few back stops to switch my focus. I have both of David Goggins books on audible that I switch to when my focus starts to get off track. I also have Tim Grover's Relentless book saved on YouTube that I switch to also at times. Remember your doing what others won't do.
I read this today in Atomic Habits by James Clear that might help.

The only way to become excellent is to be endlessly fascinated by doing the same thing over and over. You have to fall in love with boredom.

I'm glad you have a pacer/partner to do your run today with. You will do awesome today!!

Day 32 brought snow with more snow. maybe I will snap a picture or 2 for those who enjoy this unnecessary nonsense lol. Workout 1 done, reading done. Trying to figure out a plan for the outside workout but I think I'm definitely going to try hot hands in my gloves. My hands are sensitive to cold, wet conditions. It was self inflicted via work for years. I will win this day!!

Looks like today's workout could easily be "shoveling snow".

It definitely could be. It does get the heart pumping especially if it's heavy. This snow is about a medium heavy ness

Day 26... Had to tell my Bitch voice to fuck off this morning. After 4 1/2 hours sleep my alarm went off to get my workout done before I start my day. I shut off the alarm and laid in bed for 3 minutes. Then was like bitch get up and get it done before you need to get ready for your day. This is a rare case it happens but overcame the urge to push it to later when it could have put me in a bind.
I had that day today. It's not too often for me either, but I at least get there

Day 33 has begun. Leg workout complete. Soreness will no doubt set it later on. Working my way back into the groove of leg training. Been a bitch for to long about it. Sadly though my calves are above average and quads respond well.

Initial thought of the day

Evolution No. 6 – #FoxholeMentality #NeverFinished. From Never Finished by David Goggins

Small minds and weak people kill big dreams. You might have clear goals and be working on yourself every day, but if you have the wrong folks around you, there’s a good chance they could be sucking the life right out of you and making sure that you go nowhere.

The Foxhole

In military speak, the foxhole is a fighting position. In life, it’s your inner circle. These are the people you surround yourself with. They know your history and are aware of your future goals and past limitations. But because it’s a fighting position, a foxhole can just as easily become your grave. Therefore, it is crucial that you be careful about who you invite in. Whether you are at war, competing in a game, or striving in life, you never want someone in your foxhole who lacks faith or will try to steer you away from your full potential by giving you permission to pack it in or wave the white flag when shit looks bleak.

When there is no one around you who believes in or understands your quest, you must turn your fox- hole into a one-man fighting position. That’s okay. It is always better to fight alone until you can find people strong enough to fight the good fight with you. There is no time to waste trying to pull dead- weight up a hill.

I've been thinking about this since yesterday. I want to start a foxhole of savages. A no nonsense, no bs group that pushes one another everyday to achieve higher and higher. To help one another in the wars we encounter in our lives. Must be thick skinned, honest and willing to battle day after day. Will anyone step up and answer the call?? I've been a lone wolf type person since early on. But I know we need one another to sharpen and push beyond our perceived limits. Who wants to join the foxhole and go to war???

LUCK IS A MYTH
March 05, 2023 AndyGram

When most people see somebody else living the life of their dreams...

They immediately assume that "they just got lucky."

But that couldn't be further from the truth.

In fact ... it’s quite literally the exact opposite for me...

...and I STILL get called lucky.

Am I lucky?

Am I really?

What about the years I spent sleeping on a piss-stained mattress in the back of my first retail store?

Was that luck?

What about the weekends, holidays, and family events I've missed to pursue a dream that nobody else believed in?

Was that luck?

What about the 1,000 "No's" I got before I even got a single "Yes"...

Was that luck?

What about my first 10 years in business when I made $58,000?

Not $58,000 per year...

$58,000 TOTAL after 10 years.

Was that luck too?

Far from it.

So next time you catch yourself pointing your finger at "luck" as the sole reason for somebody else's success...

Understand that luck is the exception...

Not the norm.

The other 99.99% of us have to suffer and sacrifice for YEARS before we even see the slightest bit of success.

Start seeing success for what it really is...

Put in the hard work…

…and get the result.

The sooner you do this...

The sooner you can eliminate your excuses and start pursuing success for yourself.

Day 34 is a wrap. Was a good day overall. I finished reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. I finished listening to Never Finished by David Goggins. Both are recommended to read or listen to. Started listening to Winning by Tim Grover which I picked up on Audible. I hope everyone enjoyed and won their days today!!!

CONDITIONS WILL NEVER BE PERFECT
March 07, 2023 AndyGram

If you can't get better when the conditions are shit...

You aren't going to win.

Train yourself to see the opportunity in the hard times…

...and be willing to do whatever it takes to improve when everyone else quits.

Do this ... and nobody can fuck with you.

Do this ... and you won't just win ... you'll also become great.

Do this ... or eventually lose to people who will.

Those are your options.

Conditions will never be perfect.

The only people who believe in ideal conditions are the ones that have never done anything.

Grit wins.

Resilience wins.

Fortitude wins.

Endurance wins.

Discipline wins.

So ask yourself ... what kind of life do you want to live?

Because every hardship you face is an opportunity to develop traits that will build you into a fucking legend.

But if you choose to sit on your hands and wait for the conditions to be favorable...

You'll be waiting forever.

Day 38 is a wrap. Fairly smooth day but felt like it was never going to end. Outside workout was in a snow storm. I highly recommend if you're going to do this program and live in a cold climate. Buy heated gloves for the outside workouts. I ordered some that are on there way. Hot hands have helped some but I need something more. I hope everyone crushed it today!!

Benjamin Franklin's 13 Life virtues
1. TEMPERANCE. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
2. SILENCE. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
3. ORDER. Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
4. RESOLUTION. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
5. FRUGALITY. Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
6. INDUSTRY. Lose no time; be always employ’d in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
7. SINCERITY. Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
8. JUSTICE. Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
9. MODERATION. Avoid extreams; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
10. CLEANLINESS. Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, cloaths, or habitation.
11. TRANQUILLITY. Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
12. CHASTITY. Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dulness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation.
13. HUMILITY. Imitate Jesus and Socrates.
