YOU'RE EITHER GROWING OR DYING
February 26, 2023 AndyGram
When water is flowing and moving...

It's fresh and pure.

But what happens when the water starts to pool up and settle?

It gets stagnant...

It gets dirty...

It starts to smell...

...and it ultimately becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and disease.

Our lives are no different.

Anytime you're moving and taking the necessary actions to get better...

You will thrive.

Anytime you neglect what needs to get done...

Stall your progress...

...and take your foot off the gas...

You will suffer.

We are either growing or dying at all times.

If you want to be someone who is successful in life…

You have to constantly work on your growth and development.

Otherwise, you'll end up no different than the stagnant water.

There are ears, eyeballs listening and watching what we do. Many will sit in silence. So You never know who you are affecting everyday. Be inspirational, a good example daily.

Well day 27 is a wrap. All tasks complete except the pic. I will say I did fail in a few spots today emotionally. It was one of those days break stuff by Limp Bizkit I should have played. When I went to leave at 4am to the gym backed out of the garage and went to close the garage door and boom. Doesn't shut . So I try again it doesn't move. I get out saying a few choice french words. I realized the cable came off the pulley. one of the rollers popped out of the track. So fighting with it for 20 minutes I finally got it shut. Thought that's a shitty way to start the day. I get home then notice the floor fan in the bedroom wasn't in the normal 80 degree range bringing up heat from downstairs where the pellet stove is. Turns out the convection blower took a shit so the pellet stove keeps shutting off because it gets to hot. A new one was ordered on February 10th because we had a feeling it was going bad. They were supposed to ship it today actually. Called the place up and they were like oh we are sorry but that's backordered and won't ship till March 20th. Those fuckers took a order with a "in stock" part never told us it was backordered or anything. Fucking horrific customer service. I will never buy anything from them again. So had to come up with plan b for heat source. I did learn a lesson today. When shit goes wrong I will take 3 deep breaths and exhale out slowly to collect myself then handle the situation. I'm prone to hulk smashing shit instead but the breaths will be more beneficial lol..

Day 28... Should be a interesting day with up to a feet of snow being dropped. About 4 inches of snow has fallen already. Feeling good physically and focused. Work will most likely suck with people calling out left and right but so be it. Not everyone is dedicated or cares as much as the few others. Stay hard, stay hungry, dominate and win the day!!!

From the Subtle art of not giving a fuck by Mark Manson.

The Misadventures of Disappointment Panda

to pay attention to when we’re young or careless. It helps show us what’s good for us versus what’s bad for us. It helps us understand and adhere to our own limitations. It teaches us to not fuck around near hot stoves or stick metal objects into electrical sockets. Therefore, it’s not always beneficial to avoid pain and seek pleasure, since pain can, at times, be life-or-death important to our well-being.

But pain is not merely physical. As anyone who has had to sit through the first Star Wars prequel can tell you, we humans are capable of experiencing acute psychological pain as well. In fact, research has found that our brains don’t register much difference between physical pain and psychological pain. So when I tell you that my first girlfriend cheating on me and leaving me felt like having an ice pick slowly inserted into the center of my heart, that’s because, well, it hurt so much I might as well have had an ice pick slowly inserted into the center of my heart.

Like physical pain, our psychological pain is an indication of something out of equilibrium, some limitation that has been exceeded. And like our physical pain, our psychological pain is not necessarily always bad or even undesirable. In some cases, experiencing emotional or psychological pain can be healthy or necessary. Just like stubbing our toe teaches us to walk into fewer tables, the emotional pain of rejection or failure teaches us how to avoid making the same mistakes in the future.

And this is what’s so dangerous about a society that coddles itself more and more from the inevitable discomforts of life: we lose the benefits of experiencing healthy doses of pain, a loss that disconnects us from the reality of the world around us.

You may salivate at the thought of a problem-free life full of everlasting happiness and eternal compassion, but back here on earth the problems never cease. Seriously, problems don’t end. Disappointment Panda just dropped by. We had margaritas, and he told me all about it: problems never fucking go away, he said—they just improve. Warren Buffett’s got money problems; the drunk hobo down at Kwik-E Mart’s got money problems. Buffett’s just got better money problems than the hobo. All of life is like this.

“Life is essentially an endless series of problems, Mark,” the panda told me. He sipped his drink and adjusted the little pink umbrella. “The solution to one problem is merely the creation of the next one.”

A moment passed, and then I wondered where the fuck the talking panda came from. And while we’re at it, who made these margaritas?

“Don’t hope for a life without problems,” the panda said. “There’s no such thing. Instead, hope for a life full of good problems.”

And with that, he set his glass down, adjusted his sombrero, and sauntered off into the sunset.

HOW GOOD DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
February 27, 2023 AndyGram

Most people really only think of themselves in one of two ways:

One group thinks they are the shit.

They over-celebrate their wins...

They are convinced they have everything figured out...

They have an inflated sense of self-importance...

...and they ultimately end up losing in life because of it.

The other group of people think much differently...

Instead of being arrogant, they are the opposite.

They underestimate their abilities...

They always play the victim card...

They are paralyzed by fear...

...and they never take action because of their limiting beliefs and timidness.

If you fit in either of these groups … you need to understand this...

You’re not as good as you think you are.

...and at the same time...

You're not as bad as you think you are.

All winners have this awareness and use it as a tool to constantly push themselves to get better.

They show up every day to work on themselves no matter how good they believe they are...

Then they repeat this process over and over.

If you want to build a truly incredible life for yourself...

You must do the same.

Not just today...

Not just tomorrow...

But every single day until you die.

If you can keep yourself in a constant state of evolution…

…everything else will take care of itself.

Day 29. Lets go win, dominate... Woke up with a massive headache which kinda is a bummer. Probably just tired and beat down feeling. I can't let that nonsense stop progress. Foot on the gas and speed forward. Have a great day today everyone. Show a random act of kindness to someone today!

Day 29 recap. Day went well overall. Just finished my reading requirement which I usually have done by at least noon. I had to shift it to later because how the day unfolded. I'm flexible so it was no big deal. David Goggins new book is really good. On chapter 4 but did listen to chapter 3 over. Lots of good nuggets in the book so far. I hope you all won your days today!!

Day 30.... Here we go!! Thought of the day is.. to be great at anything you must become a master of the monotonous. When the excitement fades can you still grind and get it done day after day??

KNOW WHEN TO SHIFT GEARS
March 02, 2023 AndyGram

I find it ironic how the same people who brag about how much they "hustle" and "grind" are the same people who never make any real progress in life.

Am I saying there's anything wrong with being urgent and working hard?

Absolutely not.

In fact, both of these components are critical for your success...

But I see far too many people who focus solely on running full speed ahead without taking the time to shift gears or adjust their approach when it's necessary.

Then they act surprised when their unwillingness to make adjustments keeps them from getting where they're trying to go.

You have to understand that the journey ahead is full of roadblocks, obstacles, and challenges...

If you're always consumed with moving fast...

You'll blind yourself to these conditions...

...and ultimately end up crashing and burning.

Here's my advice:

Learn how to step back...

Evaluate the situation...

...and adjust your speed accordingly.

Quit letting the work obstruct your vision.

Peek your head up every once in a while to make adjustments...

Refocus…

...then execute.

It's the only way you'll win long-term.

Day 30 wrap up. Switched things up in the normal routine. Had my reading done first before hitting my first workout. Then water requirement meet before the 2nd workout. Im feeling quite sore. Definitely the most I've felt so far. Cravings have been minimal since I started the journey. The 75 Hard program was exactly what I needed to get my undisciplined ass back on track. I'm thankful for it... I hope you all won your days!!

THE BYSTANDER EFFECT
March 03, 2023 AndyGram

How many times have you caught yourself avoiding a task or problem because it's "not your responsibility" or because "someone else will take care of it?"

If you're being honest...

I'm sure you can recall a few times you've done this.

I know I can recall plenty of times I've done this myself.

This is called the Bystander Effect, and it works like this:

When everyone thinks someone else is going to take care of a problem...

Nobody ends up fixing the problem...

Which happens to be the reason why most people never end up becoming great...

…because they are a bystander to their own life.

When they see a piece of trash on the ground...

They walk over it.

When they see a problem that needs to be fixed at their job…

They ignore it.

When they see piss droplets on the toilet seat...

They leave them for the next person to deal with.

If you're sitting around wondering why your problems won't go away...

I guarantee you this is why.

So accept responsibility...

Take action...

...and solve the problem whether it's "your problem” or not.

I know one thing for sure...

When you can develop this habit within yourself and become someone who fixes all problems...

You will have 0 issues building an amazing life for yourself.

You cannot be afraid to disappoint people. You have to live the life you want to live. Sometimes, that means being the motherfucker who can put a middle finger up to everyone in the room and be totally comfortable with that.
David Goggins, Never Finished: Unshackle Your Mind and Win the War Within

I've struggled at times with this. I'm currently making progress with it. It's a liberating feeling.

I think this is something I've definitely struggled with, been working on it the past year or two but think it's finally start to come to fruition

Day 31... It was a struggle at times. Feeling exhausted physically so had to dig deep to make it through the day. My gym session was great. That went for an hour. My left shoulder is stiff as hell but it will pass Work was okay overall but the outside workout was struggle bus city. Body sore, checked the time a few times because it felt like forever but only a few minutes had passed. Had to really man up, buckle down because it was rough. Once you start clock watching you are in a bad spot. I had to shift my focus away from the bitch I was being. I made it through and won the day. A decent night of sleep tonight should recharge me. Which is 6 hours about. I hope everyone won their days today. I appreciate everyone's support and your inspiring me to push myself even further than I have. I'm truly grateful for all of you.

It's a work in progress like all of us are. It gets easier and easier the more you do it. People need to be told to fuck off. Especially when you are working on something that's important to you. The people who give you shit are overcome with jealousy. I like the phrase thanks for your concern but politely fuck off.. lol

Sorry I forgot to respond. Feet feel great! I have a 5k scheduled downtown this Saturday. Just going to alternate between light running and walking for the workouts until the race. But I’m really aiming for a good time for a non runner. But yeah man, feet and entire body are pretty healthy and functional. Walking several days in a row for the outside workout was enough for them to heal.
I have zero doubt you are going to awesome tomorrow Bando. I'm rooting and pulling for you!!
