Hi everyone,

I’m seeking advice regarding elevated liver enzyme levels from my recent bloodwork. I’m a 40-year-old male currently in week 5 of a planned 16-week protocol:
  • 250 mg/week Testosterone Cypionate
  • 250 mg/week Primobolan
  • 750 IU/week HCG
  • 3 IU/night HGH
I noticed significant increases in AST and ALT compared to prior bloodwork. Here are the details:

Recent Bloodwork (10/28/24 – 5 weeks on current protocol)
  • AST: 94 (Ref: 0–40)
  • ALT: 84 (Ref: 0–44)
Prior Bloodwork (9/10/24 – 6 weeks on 225 Test C, 1500 IU HCG, CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin)
  • AST: 53
  • ALT: 39
Baseline Bloodwork (5/10/24 – natural, no PEDs)
  • AST: 35
  • ALT: 34

My Current Concerns:

  1. Should I continue the current protocol and retest in 3–4 weeks to monitor for further changes, or adjust now?
  2. Would reducing the Primobolan dose help. I could also swap some of primo grams with Test C as my estradiol is low now at 25?
  3. Are these elevations serious enough to warrant immediate action?
I’m happy to share the full bloodwork results if it helps. I appreciate any insights or suggestions.

Those aren't crazy high ast/alt numbers. I've seen much higher especially with people running orals. I'd grab some TUDCA or liv52. I take those whenever I run a cycle. Keeps my ast/alt mid 30's

If you're cycling, training intensively, consuming ample food, and utilizing performance-enhancing substances, metric fluctuations are typical. Natural athletes who train hard and diet may experience irregular blood work due to metabolic stress. Physiological processes, including nutrient breakdown, drug metabolism, tissue degradation, waste filtration, and replenishment, contribute to these variations. THIS IS NATURAL!

I feel better now. My last labs my liver enzymes were in the upper 40s and I was a little worried. If 90s aren't freak out territory I'm good 😁

Panic mode kicks in when people see red, but liver enzymes need extreme numbers to justify freak-outs. Regular blood work keeps concerns in check, and minor deviations are a non-issue. Specialists confirmed this with me from a variety of treatments, from different scopes in healthcare with MY prescriptions and treatments They shared dramatic examples, calming my OCD worries.

Don't freak out my guy, Stick to the tried-and-true methods that veterans swear by, not those sketchy Reddit warriors.

Just by reaching out to your peers, you made the right move at the end of the day.

If you decide to use supplements Injectable glutathione is the absolute golden ticket sir.

Even Liv52 basic oral is gtg for you. Code "ASF" at checkout for 10% off. I hate to make it a sales pitch but tbh you very well would benefit from some liver support. Why not get it from a forum sponsor?

Adding liver support will mildly drop the values, but not make much of a difference as you will still be elevated. Whether you're at 80-90 or 70-80 makes very little difference. Now if on a harsh oral, that's a different story. In a case with just test and primo I would often employee some NAC AFTER the cycle to get values back even quicker. Just my opinion.

Awesome. Thanks for the tips and calming my nerves. I ordered some liv52 and NAC for after. Is estradiol at all liver protective? One thought I had was running 300 test and 200 primo given the 1:1 ratio has lowered my estradiol levels slightly below what they were when I was natural.

I think those are high. 300 tren 100 anadrol 100 accutane with mast and test had me around there. Do you drink alcohol or something

Very rarely. I did have a mild flu that turned into a cold though, which could be a factor.

how close to your bloodwork did you train?

I am somewhat of a liver expert. I’ve been living with cirrhosis for some time, known about it for 2 years. My alt/ast barely bumps the upper threshold and I have approximately 40% liver scarring. Those numbers posted are high and do warrant some concern. Liver damage is something that happens over years of abuse and neglect, not over one cycle. Yet at the same time when you know you are causing harm it is imperative to take notice and do something about it. Testing for bilirubin and ammonia is a more accurate gauge for liver stress.

Bottom line is that we tax our livers with many, many things and obviously alcohol is the worse. High fat diet, refined sugar and, yes, AAS have an impact. The liver is an incredible organ and has the ability to regenerate and heal itself but cannot repair scarring. I use injectable glutathione routinely and also take Liv52 twice daily. I know it’s therapeutic for me as I don’t feel as sick.

I’d finish my cycle and reassess my bloodwork. If it goes back towards normal you have your answer.

Wes has both @GYMnTONIC
I’ve been using his glutathione for a year now. My hepatologist says I’m doing well and am pretty healthy for someone with this much damage.
Give Wes a shout, he’ll absolutely take care of you.
Thank you sir you rock!

Where do you get your glutathione and liv52 from?
Hey man I have lab tested and domestic options for you. www.GYMnTONIC.com and code "ASF" gets you 10% off or you can PM me too

Thanks! My liver is good right now but I'm thinking of taking some proactively. I'll know for sure after my next bloodwork.

Great feedback Tommy

Liv52 is great for all around support as is milk thistle. I actually had to explain Liv52 to my hepatologist, it’s something you can use on or off cycle. Glutathione is a little more aggressive and is a strong antioxidant and other than helping to counteract free radicals, I’m not sure of its mechanism, but I really do believe it’s helpful.

Thanks for the informative reply. By bilirubin was negative for urine and within range barely for the metabolic panel. I attached the screenshots.
