Not a great chest day yesterday. 99% sure I retore/strained my pec warming up on incline smith. Set the bench wrong where the bar came down too high. First rep with 455 felt a searing in my left pec, the one I tore in 2023. I decided to push through, and by rep 4, it just got really painful. I was able to still finish my chest workout with very particular form on every exercise.
The good news is the previous pec tear was a tear in the muscle, so it healed pretty quickly. Will likely avoid pressing heavy for 2 weeks and up my gh to 10iu a day to get this healed. Some minor bruising today and pain, but I really don’t think this is too bad. Just bummed I missed out on a good workout.
