Thank you all for the prayers. I had dozens of people praying for me, and it is very very much appreciated.

Had my custody hearing in court yesterday and God gave me a huge huge win. I will be getting my daughter more days and overnights a week, joint physical custody, which is what it should have been since day 1.

Nevertheless I am BEYOND happy. This absolutely makes my life complete. I have everything I want in life now. Thank you ASF <3

Scholars classify "Jehovah" as an artificial hybrid or "portmanteau" rather than a true translation. It was created by combining two different parts of the Hebrew Bible:

  1. The Consonants (YHWH): Known as the Tetragrammaton, these are the four letters of God's personal name.
  2. The Vowels (Adonai): Because ancient Jews considered the name too sacred to speak, they placed the vowel markings for Adonai (meaning "Lord") around the consonants YHWH as a reminder to the reader to say "Lord" instead.
Medieval Christian scholars, unfamiliar with this substitution custom, read the combined consonants and vowels literally, resulting in the hybrid "Jehovah". Modern biblical scholars generally agree that Yahweh is the more likely original pronunciation.

The actual, original name of God in the Hebrew Bible is YHWH. How it was pronounced in ancient times (scholarly consensus):
Yahweh Phonetic: YAH-weh (two syllables)
“Yah” rhymes with “yard” (without the r)
“Weh” rhymes with “way,” with a very light “h” at the end.
Why scholars are confident it’s “Yahweh”: It comes from the Hebrew verb “to be” (hayah) → roughly means “He is” or “He causes to be.”
Ancient Greek writers who heard it spoken wrote it as Iao, Iaoue, or Yahweh.
Names in the Bible like Isaiah (Yeshayah), Jeremiah (Yirmeyahu), and Elijah (Eliyahu) all preserve the “Yah-” and “-yahu” sounds from YHWH.
Jehovah is not ancient — it’s a 16th-century mistake that mixed YHWH’s consonants with Adonai’s vowels. So if you just want His name as it was known and spoken by the Israelites: Yahweh.
 
Ok I gotta question for all you guys. Please don’t laugh cause for me it’s a legit question that needs a little explanation. I’m hoping there’s more to it than the usual answer which is to just dismiss it like it’s total bullshit.

What’s the deal with the Book of Enoch? All I know is what I hear on Rogan and other internet guys that are into it. I think the main thing is it talks about Angels being watchers over humans but they eventually start disobeying god and they end up doing the nasty with human women causing all kinds of weird things to happen eventually leading up to God flooding the earth. That’s one of the main bullet points anyway.

So my real question is why do you guys think it was deliberately left out by the old heads that controlled all that at the time? Is the whole book really bullshit and maybe made up or did they leave it out because maybe it might confuse us or even maybe it was too close to the truth and it may have driven people away from religion.

I hear the Ethiopians still have it in their bible and they supposedly have the oldest and closest version to the original. At least that’s what I’m hearing from all the supposed experts.

It just bothers me when people take it upon themselves to dictate what people get to see and push them into believing only what they are told or shown. Just sends up red flags.

I was pretty set in the camp of there originally being one set of events that really happened and that probably spawned Christianity. All the other 3000 religions are based on Christianity but have been changed to suit whoever is driving the narrative.

If books were removed for whatever reason imo that kinda takes a huge shit on the one religion at the beginning opinion.

I would describe Enoch as fiction as a whole . It glorifies the demonic realm that occupies the spirit realm which is more real than the physical realm we see and live in.
God would never allow that in His word brocade He literally says

The Bible glorifies the Son of God the Father YHWH and the entirety of the Bible is to lead you to Jesus the Son who glorifies His Father and the Father glorifies Him see John 17 (amplified version is best) for more on this in Jesus prayer for His disciples amd those who read the words of disciples, all believers today

Satan counterfeits everything God does so yeah Enoch can be very confusing and seems and sound like truth, but it’s not since it glorifies evil and contradicts Gods word, it is sent to confuse people

That’s Enoch in a nutshell, there is no Godly wisdom, only descriptions of how evil coincides/prevails in this fallen world next to us with no edification or guidance in who you are in Christ or Gods wisdom to guide you like proverbs teaches wisdom.

Hey I appreciate the explanation and the time it took for you to reply. Like Insaid all I get is info from the internet which usually seems to be one sided.

I’d like to read it just to see what it’s all about. I’m glad you said there is some truth to it because everything I research that has very different viewpoints I always seem to try and find a middle ground. That’s why I say a lot of the different religions started out as one and branched out as many smaller ones with some different beliefs sprinkled in here and there.
It might be cool to see what lines up with the bible now and then.

Which is a lie.

Ron Wyatt found it inside Golgotha in the 1980s and brought back photographs. We know it remained in Jerusalem and that likely Jeremiah hid it, when the siege came and they destroyed the Temple. I was inside Golgotha and all the landmarks and directions Ron Wyatt laid out were 100% accurate. I followed his instructions after watching dozens of his videos before going into Golgotha. I then had to scale the side of the mountain illegally just to enter. I had to slide on my stomach through about a 24" opening and rock was on both my stomach and back sliding in. I intentionally lost weight just so I would fit on that trip, i was down to about 170lbs from 200 and I barely fit.

I may be going back in August. I know the directions to the Ark and I am going to attempt to find it myself, like Ron did.

The Ethiopians lie alot. Thats the issue. They blend truth with lies and you don't know ever what to fully believe.

I have spent considerable time looking at it and had the same questions years ago. Enoch is not cannon. In other words it was NOT written by Enoch and it was written very late. Well after Enoch's death. We know its a forgery but it does contain some truth. Scholars argue that part of Jude has a direct quote from Enoch. Also Peter seems to have similar themes in a few verses. Enoch has 3 parts. Part 1 seems to be the most informational and true. Parts 2 and 3 appear to be way less reliable and likely not the same author as part 1. Part 2 is completely missing from the dead sea scrolls. I personally think part 1 (the book of the watchers) is worth the read. I view Enoch 1 the same way I view any non canonical commentary written by man. It contains error but gives some insight. I would not waste your time with part 2 or 3.

I have to go but I will come back later and comment on the parts in Enoch 1 that can be considered true. Basically if you piece together all the accounts in the books we know are cannon it collaborates some of what it says. In short I view the book of the watchers as a mere commentary not cannon.

PS. Don't rule out artificial insemination when the angels came down to the daughters of men. These beings are way more advanced than us.

I’m sure some of you guys get tired of me asking dumb questions about religion. Heck I’ve been asking them for several years now so I can understand why. I’m just a difficult student I guess. Believe it or not believing in God is very important to me for a ton of reasons. Way too many to even list. It just takes me a long time to accept something and even then it’s only after learning and understanding everything I can before I take that plunge.
I guess my biggest hurdle is imo a lot of what’s described in ancient texts could probably be explained if you insert another higher advanced beings. That’s another topic for another day though. Baby steps first. lol
Anyway thanks again. Soon as I start working I’m gonna have to get the Books of Enoch and check them out. If nothing else it might help with understanding the actual bible itself.
