For anyone who says “you need to donate blood”…

AAS, altitude, smoking/COPD, renal cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, adrenal adenoma, von Hippel-Lindau disease, Cushing’s syndrome, etc all cause secondary polycythemia. The only people we phlebotomize with secondary polycythemia are people on T/AAS. Almost like it’s an outdated practice that people still blindly follow

If high HCT was actually as detrimental as it’s made out to be, everyone in Colorado would be suffering from extreme health complications right now. Many other ways to address HCT outside of donating
 
yeah i was stuck in that loop for a year. ended up with crazy rdw from the mix of baby cells and old cells
I’ve seen it happen to many, unfortunately. People just blindly following bro advice of people telling them to donate every X weeks, or even if checking bloods just not hydrating properly.

I think that's the problem where I live... Everybody bulks in the winter.
I'll crack 300# and I'll stop there... I went to 326#'s 2 winters ago
and I thought I was gonna die everytime I did cardio or Squat.

Food, no issue for me... I can still push the food, as long as I
have a "little" slin to break down all the damn carbs.
Right now, just started my winter bulk and Ive worked from 6200kcals maintenance to right now 7400kcals....
Will stop @ 8000ish cals and adjust from there.

This does seem to be true. I’ve never ran big doses, but if you talk about multi-gram doses or hell, even running north of a gram on here, you seem to get flamed relentlessly. I’m of the camp that all of the pros who claim to have gotten where they are on sub gram doses just aren’t being honest. And that includes the old school guys too who make those claims as well. I suppose it’s possible, just not probable.

Do you strictly stick to rice sources for carbs or do you still eat a variety of carbs? I can't imagine being able to digest bread, potatoes, etc on that amount of calories.

He’s right about the Colorado. I donate blood and it gets way worse..

RIGHT before Phil Hernon passed, he put out a YouTube vid.
Now if anybody knew Phil in person, he would say "no more than 600mg test" a little Deca and 4 weeks of Dbol.

Well in that video before he passed, he let the truth be known about AAS
he said... Do you think Pros really run miniscule doses???
He then said... Us Pros would run EVERYTHING we could get our hands on.

When Lee Priest says me and Paul Dillett only did one shot of Deca a week and closer to contest time we would throw in a little GH and Winstrol.
Do you believe that??? I mean come on Paul was fuckin 280 stage weight!

OATS, Rice and Sweet potatoes are my go 2's (Cream of rice Pre W/O)
I like rice on training days because W/slin I can eat 4 cups of
jasmine rice with my meals and Im hungry 2 hours later for another meal.

Good to see you are still able to get oats and potatoes in. I love all of it and have been hoping I don't get to the point where I'm only eating rice to get my meals in.

The Sweet potatoes are with my steak meals on my off days, as I find the sweet potatoes are really dense, filling and don't digest as quickly as rice.
But I love oats as a low GI carb source.

I’ve never believed a word that comes out of any of their collective mouths. I would imagine and it’s pure speculation that most of the current pros run north of three grams as well as absurd amounts of GH and insulin to get where they are. Can they maintain all that on 500 mg of test and then tell everybody that’s all they run? Possibly, but not likely.

Same. At a certain point, other carbs just dont digest quick enough between meals and im still full 2.5hrs later. It basically has to be rice or rice-based stuff for me to keep going on high days. I do love me some potatoes though.

There is maybe 1% of the BBing population who can grow like a mutant under 1g. The rest of us neeed to push it if size is the goal. Guys who say they "dont wanna be big" are the ones who usually canttt get big.

On a serious note id wager at the pro level some of that is dude to classic and MP dudes being way heavier than their weight caps. We saw Urs lost a ton of muscle every prep and probably needed a ton of gear to keep the size he did

I saw a podcast where Phil Viz said something like many guys push much higher doses when they’re younger because as a young guy their bodies can tolerate it more, which makes sense to me. But he didn’t specify what those doses were from what I can remember

I don’t believe everyone when they say they’re taking extremely low doses. I think it’s possible obviously they run some massive cycles to get big. Then later on when they finally can maintain or grow just a tiny bit on lower doses, they come out with their small cycle they are currently on and act like that’s what they took to get big

I think there’s multiple reasons why they downplay their doses. I don’t think it boils down to only one reason

There are actually some brain damaged people out there that think Cbum got big off 500 test. Yeah bro, Mr Olympia got big barely above a trt dose

But....when you do reach that size you want. For competitors its when you finally look filled out. The taller you are, the tougher it is. I'm 6'0. Shit has taken forever. But...once you hit that "filled out" look, you cannnn lower doses a bit. Not to anything low low. But if you were using 3g+ to get big, i know guys that can then maintain it on under 2. What it takes to GROW is different than what it takes to maintain.

But again, we are talking about GROWTH in this thread. Wanna get big? Eat big, lift big, and use big amounts lol.
