15 lbs of muscle in 3 months!

Ummmmm, I wouldn't say it's not possible.

I've seen guys gain 25-30lbs in 12 weeks on their first cycle and hold onto to most of it after.

It's rare, but I wouldn't say zero chance. Newbie gains are hard to deny

This excerpt is from Steroid.com about Dbol:
I personally don’t know anyone that has gained that much on it but nonetheless this article at least says its possible.

I think the key people are missing here is he said pure 100% muscle.

Zero chance.

Kid said he was 19. Natty. Just started lifting. No suppz. He gained 15lbs and of the 15lbs he gained, 100% was muscle.

Another guy said Wesley you are wrong bc I gained 15lbs of muscle in 8 weeks on sarms 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The article sir says 20lbs of mass. This means "weight"

Hell I can gain 15lbs of weight in 2 weeks on mk677.

Weight gain and pure muscle gain are two very different things 😁

Pure muscle, at least to me, is pure lean tissue.
Might be semantics, but majority of "lifters" say shit like "I put on 20lbs of muscle in two months!!!"
Umm, no you didn't. You put on weight, which was a mix of fat and some muscle.

I'm a pretty lean guy. Rail-thin lol. I fell off for a few years and lost all my gainz. In 3 months I put on 30 pounds. And stayed bone dry and never got over 10% bf.

Took me years to build that tho. All came back so damn fast. I don't think it's possible to build new tissue that fast, if you haven't had the size before.

SB Labs
How much muscle do you think is actually attainable in that span? I think after subtracting out water and fat 6 to 8 pounds would still be impressive and still on the high side of possible.

Steroids will increase subq water as well as intracellular water. Technically that is LBM so in some studies you see it factored in as lean body mass.

If you did that without steroids then that is remarkable.

When I was a gym newbie I used steroids and I could gain 1 lb per day but it wasn't lean. Haha

This is a great question sir. I have seen some DEXA scans on bodybuilders, but I don't have an "average" and I have never seen some massive gain in a short period of time. Prob the best I have seen in a short period of time is a client went on MK677 and gained 31lbs in 3+ months. Of that, I want to say he tested out with 12lbs of lean mass (not pure muscle) but a combination of water and muscle, so maybe 6-8lbs of muscle? That is the most impressive gain I have ever seen and like Montego mentioned he was new to lifting and I do agree that newbie gains do exist.

Now, why I said ZERO chance, there is ZERO chance you can gain, 5,10,15 or 20lbs and for 100% of that gain to be 100% muscle. It simply doesn't exist. If you look at DEXA scans and studies, this is what proves that, not simply my word. It's simply not possible.

And weight gain doesn't always tell the tale of the variables on the surface. As bodybuilders we already know that. The "number" is not always important. How you look is.

Take this for instance. This is a DEXA scan of a guy who gained 5lbs.

The truth of the before and after reveals a different story. He actually gained 8.6lbs of bodyfat and he lost 3lbs of muscle.

You MUST have a DEXA scan to be able to make any sort of claim of muscle gain or bodyfat loss. Otherwise it is your opinion

Did you know a DEXA scan can help you assess your caloric needs based on your metabolic rate, etc?

So how does one go about a DEXA scan? The one thing I see in the scan readout that would prove most useful to me is the resting metabolic rate. I think that would be a far more accurate method for running a caloric deficit or surplus. It usually takes me a few weeks to determine that information and even then it is not precise. Granted it doesn’t even have to be precise but if I knew where I actually sat it would be much more efficient and would likely lead to better results. I may be over complicating the process but it has my wheels turning. I’m going to research what is involved in getting a scan and see if it is super expensive. If the cost outweighs the benefit then I guess it would be settled but if it was in the range of bloodwork it could be a valuable tool.

I think in most statesyou can walk in and get a scan.
In Kommiefornia you might need a Rx? I just tried to make an appointment for a cardiac calcium score and they want a prescription. God forbid you want to be proactive in your health. The VA said they will give me one when I get into the “serious risk” of heart attack stage…but not before.

If they actually let people focus on prevention versus treatment then billions of dollars would be lost. I read a post on this forum about the top prescribed medications in the US and if I remember correctly the lions share would be prevented with proper diet and exercise. An ounce of prevention is better then a pound of cure.
