I’m a 23-year-old male, 120 lbs, and I’ve been struggling to gain weight and muscle for years. I recently had blood work done through Labcorp, but my doctor only told me my testosterone was “normal” and didn’t give me the actual numbers. I’ve never used steroids, testosterone, or peptides before, and I’m trying to learn what people generally recommend for someone in my situation. If someone has exhausted the usual advice on eating and training, is testosterone typically the first compound people consider, or are there better options? I’m looking for educational information about what experienced people recommend, what blood work is important, and what risks I should understand before making any decisions.

-Fatigue, although i do Smoke weed. No energy or Motivation just feel Lazy. Even when i’m not high. Barely started smoking again after being clean for so long and i still have low appetite.

P.s i saw Diagofit’s explaining Zyzz Steroid journey which made me curious. I would Not blast Tren, Thanks Godbless!

Are you training or exercising regularly ?

Have you tracked your macros for a few weeks to see where your baseline is ?

Training, lifting heavy, eating right, getting proper sleep etc will INCREASE your test levels naturally

Getting on testosterone isnt gonna blow you up or make you gain weight if you're not eating the right foods in the right amount

If anything you might want to look into MK677, which is ghrelin agonist and known to increase appetite

Hope this helps

You're probably not gonna like the #1 Answer that you're gonna get atleast 15 times in this thread from your question.

Survey Says...

1# Answer: Eat More
#2 Answer: Train Harder

This is what everyone will recommend "for someone in your situation" because you hqvent exhausted all options. Weight is calories in, calories out. If you arent gaining, you arent eating enough. Period. I dont give a shit if you eat 5k a day. If you arent gaining, eat 6K. Your body isn't immune to the laws of science and physiology.

And If you cant gain naturally, you'll never eat enough to support gaining muscle on gear. In the order of importance the recipe is: 1. Diet 2. Training 3. Rest

BUT to Answer your question,

Yes. Testosterone is the first compound, and No. There isnt another.

Lock in your diet. You can get there. Gear dont make you grow. Food does.

Order your own labs. Plenty of options out there and threads on where to get bloodwork on here. You need to see where your hormones sit before you ever even consider running testosterone. The rest of the guys above covered the other important issues. Eat. Train. Eat some more.
Ive used discountedlabs.com anabolicinsights.com and alot of the guys here use goodlabs.com and I believe some have a discount code. 1st step: order a full hormone panel. Just don't give up bro...keep pushing and you will eventually see progress.

Like others have said, you won’t like my answer but… eat more. When I joined the army I was barely 190 lbsDidn’t really know how to work out and definitely didn’t eat right. Thought I knew how to. One of the senior Spc’s in my platoon took me under his wing and I blew up over the next 6 months. Gained close to 30 lbs, learn how to do the compound lifts. Eat, eat and eat more. Sleep and you will grow. I jumped on gear about a year later and gained another 40 lbs. but, some of the dudes who jumped on gear without proper diet and sleep habits gained some water weight but lost it all after their cycles.

🤙 Good advice here, take it..good for you guys,2 smartasses actually given advice lol
Angry Toy Story GIF

Just kidding fellas

Weigh your food and log it so you have an actual record and know what you are taking in. Then go from there. Training should be mostly compound lifts at this point to activate a growth period while you feed your body enough building blocks to get the job done.

At your weight you really need to get at least 150 g protein which is basically two 5 oz portions of chicken breast and a 50 gram whey shake. You need to get that in first and foremost. If it were me I would minimally start off with 3000 calories a day of good clean food and if you don't gain weight up it by 500 calories. Mainstays: Rice, potatoes, nuts, dried fruits, olive oil, chicken (breast, thighs drumsticks etc), sirloin steak, round beef, cottage cheese, spinach, grapes, whey, whole milk, Swiss cheese. this is a start. Get a scale and weigh your food every time you eat. You need to log stuff to know what to adjust or leave alone.

Mainstay lifts: Squats, dead lifts, Military press from the rack, bent over rows, bench press. If you pound those hard 2x a week and nothing else and eat like I wrote you will grow. log your workouts. you need to record so you can adjust as needed and see progress or no progress.

Stay away from alcohol and rec drugs and for God sake get 8-10 hours sleep a day.

I understand your frustration because I was a 130lb hard gainer but I didn't start juicing until I was 30. Take a deeper look at your bloodwork.
#1 Stop smoking pot. It causes absenteeism and kills motivation. I know because I was a daily user way back when...
#2 Grab a good weight gain powder. Not just protein; carbs, fats and protein, high in calories. If you wake up in the night, slam a weight gain shake or two. It doesn't replace food of course but it will give you a difference you'll notice before long.
#3 Train smart and get a mentor/coach. There's lots of guys on here that know their stuff. Research, set benchmarks/goals for yourself.

I'm not gonna tell you what to do with regards to gear because people are gonna do what they want anyway. Just telling you what I did as a beginner. I ran 500mg Test E and 400mg Deca per wk. Later, I kicked off a cycle with 40mg Dbol per day. I know some guys are gonna shit on me but I'm not telling you to do that. Bloods, bloods, bloods. If you do decide to juice, don't stay on longer than 12 weeks and do a hearty PCT. If you stay on, it will kill your sperm count and I hope you want children when ready. Don't stay on orals for more than 4 weeks and check your liver enzymes. Just research, find what works for you and start small when and if you do decide to juice. I remember that there was nobody that was gonna talk me out of using gear when I made up my mind. So I just want you to be safe. Good luck.

just walk into the doctor's office and tell the receptionist you want a copy of your lab work results. I have never had one tell me no. Whenever I get an MRI or Xray I have them put it on a disc for me.

If they won't for whatever reason, tell them you want to fill out a release of information form and release the information to yourself.

You’re not gaining weight but you said it yourself. You’re lazy.

What’s your daily macros? If you can’t give a precise answer that’s your first problem. You can’t blame anything but yourself if you don’t know exactly how much. And no Im not talking about “I know a rough estimate cuz I eyeball portions”. Theres no way you’re here asking this question if you’ve done this long enough to be able to eyeball portions out.

What’s your training look like? Sets, reps, frequency. You’re not going to put on weight half assing things or following those retarded, self proclaimed “science based lifters” on social media…you know the ones..the scrawny dudes saying Coleman would have looked even better if he had trained like them… the guys with the pre pubescent child physiques that have been training for years.

Adding in gear is just a waste of money and health. Take it from someone who jumped on the moment they found out they had low test (at 21). It did fuck all but make me a fatter shittier version of who I was at the time. I’m 36 and did a lot of dumb shit gear wise and had nothing to show for it cuz I didn’t have my diet and training locked.

I do now. I made massive changes in less than a year with nothing more than having my test in normal ranges (no need to cycle).

No amount of gear will make you gain anything sustainable off gear unless you’re diet and training is locked.

Agree 💯

I got on TRT in my early 30’s bc my levels were low, but my lifestyle , diet and trading were shit

I just got fatter

Took me a while to figure shit out the hard way

Yep, I look back in realize that maybe my lifestyle is not conducive to having optimal test levels. But when I saw 124 on the Blood Work, I was like cool and I jumped on the chance. But being 21 everyone assumed I was just looking for steroids which I wasn’t. I was just looking for an excuse as to why I was a fat piece of shit lol

In the US the lab work is yours you own it. So if you live here just get a copy the Dr has to supply it. Plus if it was done at one of the big companies like Labcorp or Quest you can set up your online account and get it yourself.
When i wanted to gain weight i chewed and swallowed more food. Appetite was not required. Just like when it as time to train, sleep, drink water etc. i just did it. Waiting till i felt like it was not part of my plan.
If you are not willing to do that then bodybuilding may not be for you.
