Someone bring over an add/abductor machine and we'll have all we need

Ohhhh what’s in em
Both in white

Flex Leverage Chest Press - Upgrade design over the original. Multiple handles, foot spotter pedal, iso-lateral locking mechanism, two weight horns.

Will have this in my gym under a "brand" I create for my gym. Megamass is essentially doing this and will use their factory

Plate Loaded 45* Ext (Precor BootyBuilder Clone) - Love this machine for RDLs and SLDS. So much better than barbell/smith. Really loads my hamstrings

Great pieces man. Can I ask how much for each?
About 1200 each with shipping and tariffs. These are obviously much higher right now than 6-12 months ago. ~750 for the piece then ~500 for tariffs and shipping. Megamass version is about 4700 plus shipping and taxes, but it is also Flat/Decline combo. Would've been ~300 more if I got that version. Bolt has it for $4k

BB 45* is about $5,000 retail in US

So about 60-70% discount ordering from China

Legs today. Continued doing single leg extension vs double. Not sure how I feel about it. Reps moving up and weight as well.

Need to start doing some monthly/quarterly maintenance on my equipment. Had a few loose screws falling out of machines the last two days. Had to retighten mid-lift.

Steps 15k
Cals 3500

I guess I can paste a table vs a screenshot. Keep getting dimension errors on any pictures. Forgot to do calf raises. Luckily I've been blessed with softball sized calves.

Maybe I'm shitting on single leg extensions too early and not giving them their due or I just pushed it hard, but my legs are cooked right now. Walks have been struggle today.

Yeah dude looks like that machine hits good!
The converging movement is so good.

Comp/Upgrades over the original
  • It feels heavier w/out plates, but did the same amount (230x10) that I've done on the OG machines recently
  • The Foot Pedal/Foot Spotter really helps getting into it and the deepest stretch position. Might play around with a half round foam roller / Torq ROM BloQ for deeper stretch
  • I had the isolation lock on, but it'll be interested to make it isolation and see how it feels
  • The second weight horn (top position) should but more force on the stretch/lengthened position; which should be more beneficial for chest development. Will play around with moving the weight between the two or more overloaded on the top.
  • 2nd handle Position allows for a little more shoulder flexion/upper chest.

How long did shipping take? Easy to put together?

Ordered August 11th
Manufacturing Completed Aug 28th
Shipped on Sept 13. Usually takes 30 days but got delayed at the Panama Canal
Arrived in US port on Oct 20th
Delivered on Oct 27th

So 2.5 months from order to delivery. ~3 months is about standard. Cheaper to deliver to west coast. More expensive in the Midwest due to distance from ports.

Assembly is basically adult legos with shitty instructions. Basically unwrap all the parts and then just start figuring it out by looking at assembled pictures online. . Most annoying thing is doing something out of order then having to unscrew it and put another piece on.

Took me about 2.5 hours to do it myself. Took about an hour to unwrap the endless bubble wrap/tape on every component.

If you want a home gym and have the time to plan it out, it's 100% worth getting certain pieces overseas. Especially if you want clones of higher end commercial equipment. They'll clone prime, Atlantis, Panatta, NewTech, Megamass (this was from the factory Mega Mass used; they recently switched).

You can get some really specific pieces for 30% of retail. Just have to wait a little bit

Ha, it depends. I've got a 3/4 built shed outback to get tools out of my garage. Roof is on, but then stopped. I have lights for my garage that I bought 2 months ago that I still need to assemble.

How's the wobble on both of these machines?
Is there any, or is it minimal, or stable and solid?
It's rock solid.

I have a shitty GWMD pendulum squat that flexes and wobbles a little bit. This is 400lbs of thick 2x2 steel. No structural flexing at all. Haven't put together the 45* extension yet, but don't expect much there either. All the other pieces I've gotten from them have been great.

The only slight wobble I get is my floors being slightly unleveled, but I'll shim the machines to reduce it as much as possible

That's definitely commercial grade steel, Plus for when I can see the welds look great.
I had a few wobbly pieces before, surprisingly they worked well. If anything they taught me to slow my roll, and work on form rather than moving the weight. These were Mercy's LOL. Similar to GWMD, but they're not too shabby either, budget friendly and they work.

I been eyeing up the leverage squat for a hot minute now. Been using the landmine attachment for a Linebacker squat attachment. Believe it or not it's killer for shrugs.

Yeah. The pendulum works, which is why I haven't replaced it. Swapped out a few other GWMD pieces that were meh

Leverage squats are nice but I prefer ones with a back support. Tru Squat variants or drop squats.

That's exactly the one that I'm looking at, it's more of a sled, hack, you can also reverse.
Reminds me of the old school ones from the '80s and the high school gyms. πŸ€™
That piece right here above, with with the BlazzedFitness HD1 is on my list.

The only other piece that I'll be without, and I don't know how budget ones are, would be a hip abductor? Any experience with those?
I'm talking all budget build here. 🀣

The new GWMD 2.0 leg extension and prone looks good to.

Are you talking about a V Squat?

You should be able to find a good one on facebook marketplace. There are a bunch there.

I need an add/abductor as well. It's the last thing I really "need". I do them now on cables with a cuff seated against a 90* incline bench. They work, but not the best.

GWMD seems to be putting out more high quality items now. Using 3x3 and thicker steel vs some of their older stuff. Ones I've looked at are this one:

and then two plate loaded options for cheaper. Echo makes solid stuff

Then GWMD has some thinner steel more budget pieces

I've been looking hard on FB Marketplace for a combo. I was a hair late on getting a pair of cybex classic machines for $800 total (he should've been selling them for $1500-2000 each)

You got a good point, that's exactly what I'm referring to, the V squat. There is quite a few that I found on Facebook, in fact there's some very good priced out ones.

Precisely, the abductor it's literally the last thing that would complete. It's so needed.

I seen a few variations as well, but I have never sat in anything other than the commercial equipment from the gyms that were all used to.

The plate loaded is what I actually had my eye on.. those are literally all I need for Wheels.
With the V squad, that can convert into the seated press for single legs. Forget about it.
That's it.

IF, and only if I get anything cable, it has to be 1:1 ratio.. I'm done with the 2:1 and so on. 😬

Wobble doesn't bother me as much as ratio and lack of smooth glide.

This is similar to the one I was looking at.
But it's super cheap, I think like 700 so you obviously get what you pay for.
