Fat around the obliques. Lower abs. Lower back.

That stubborn super hard body fat that loves to accumulate in men. Can be tricky to address.

What are your two favorite and most effective exercises you have found to eliminate said issue?

Also if you wanna name off compounds or suppz or diet that helped you achieve said goal by all means name those here!

Looking to see if a pattern emerges or If our crew can agree on a few specific exercises to.address this area.

Looking for an informative , experience based thread to help all members here achieve their goals.

Thanks guys 🙏🏼

Good question. In my experience with the substantial weightloss that I have had, the only exercises to eliminate visceral fat is diet and discipline. That kinda sounds like a sarcastic answer, but its genuine. Personally, I'm not a believer of any exercise to "target" fat loss. Its never worked for me. The areas where the body stores and removes fat is purely in the brain and is not relative to the muscle group surrounding it. Often times these fat storage areas are first in, and last out kinda scenarios. Wherever you store fat first, will be the last place that you start to lose it.

Like I said, this is based on my experience, but I am interested to see what others have encountered. Thanks for the thread. This should be a good discussion.

Low carb/cal deficit, high intensity burnout sessions, and discipline and consistency like @Big_Jimmy434
Said..i have done some crazy ab routines in past, they work but staying consistent w them is another thinglol..
Edit: but question was 2 exercises,
I like hanging leg raises ,side to side, and decline bench sit ups with the medicine ball over your head, been doing them since jr high

Agree with the above. Diet matters most. Exercises - long low intensity to burn calories and steady state for calories and some cardio. But it’s the diet that does the hard work.

For drugs, the glp’s are great to help with the diet. Beyond that, I don’t know if any of the other diet drugs are particular to stubborn fat, but many of them generally work so should be considered (depending on what someone’s comfortable running - the gap between caffeine and DNP is a big one lol)

Just my tuppence as a former chonk

I think if you had to limit fat burning to only strength training exercises, I'd have to say compound movements that activate and utilize the most muscles.

1. Deadlifts
2. Squats
3. Power Cleans / Hang Cleans

I still dont think its "targeted" fat loss but it would assist the most in overall fat burning.

50 Hanging leg crunches
50 Hyper-extensions ED... until it gets easy

then do 50am 50 PM.... People think its gonna make their gut thick.
Naa, Milos did more Slin and HGH than anyone I know from the 90's
to the 2k's.... Did he have a thick gut? Wide waist? Nope. He trained
Abs ED.

Also control your gut, as you sit doing random tasks, fully blow
all the air outta your stomach, Flex and vacuum Hold for as
long as possible... (I take little nose breaths to not disturb the vacuum.)
Can hold it for a long time.

Diet and cardio to get that last bit of back fat that always seems to be the
last to go.

Honestly for me it’s just food not a specific excercise . I got the leanest I ever have been last year working with my coach and it’s really just a food thing for me. I don’t train abs at all. I got lower back issues that keep me from doing things that hinge at the waist.

I completely agree with the general theme thus far - Kcal in v. Kcal out. 1 thing I have done in the past that KINDA SORTA SEEMED to work, as in got me from 12-13% to sub 10% was killing fat grams consumed while maintaining around a 200/250 ave daily Kcal deficit. I took my fat intake down to 10 - 12 g fat / day which is hard as fuck AND WHEN YOU COME OFF THAT YOU FUCKING SPRINT TO THE TOILET when you put fat back into your diet until your system re-adapts. The positives though. The 6 pack fully emerged & I got my dingdong sucked more often by the girlfriend.
Just started into a deficit now (week 1) & I plan on using this tactic again this April cuz I'm a fat fuck right now from a No DISCIPLINE holiday season but this time I'm planning using it to go from 14% to 11 -12%

Eat less

One exercise I always do at the end of every workout when I’m cutting is kettlebell swings. I read somewhere that there is no other exercise that moves more weight due to frequency and reps, or something like that. Could be bs but I will do 20 minutes of swings, minute thirty working set, thirty second rest. That comes out to ten sets, in that minute thirty I would say it is about 75 swings. If you are using a twenty pound bell that is 15,000 lbs total weight moved in 20 minutes. Great for the posterior chain, and it will make you want to puke.

Nothing burns fat faster than swimming freestyle or butterfly.
You work 40+ muscles at the same time and core gets absolutely wrecked, including those low and side muscles that are so hard to train consistently. It's a combination of resistance, HIIT, and cardio at the same time with almost no chance of injury. It's also amazing if you have any injuries you are rehabbing, because your pain level is much less in the water.
Ask a Triathlete or Decathlete what exercise wears them the F out the fastest, you always get the same answer.

The best peptide stack for this is:
Reta (never more than 4mg per week and work your way there very slowly) Reta is not understood well by most, because it has been marketed as a weightloss peptide but it cleans out/heals the liver of fatty build up which makes everything in your body more efficient including fat burning, it also reverses insulin resistance which none of the other GLP's do well. It's the single greatest peptide for overall metabolic health and protection.
Mots-C fixes the broken and worn out mitochondria that is stopping or hindering your Krebs cycle from creating energy efficiently. A full cycle of Mots-C should always be done before adding SS-31 or NAD+. Mots-C first, then SS-31, then start NAD+. Repeating this cycle twice per year is ideal.
BPC-157/TB-500 This combo has so many benefits it would take an hour to type them all out, but they are also synergistic with the rest of the peptides on this list and make all of them better at their jobs.
GH or your favorite combo of GHRH/GHRP's - I prefer low dose GH but sometimes change to a cycle of Tesa/CJ1295/Ipa. You can't run the peptides all the time because your pituitary will get overworked, so either use GH all the time or switch back and forth. GH avoids the body's entire production process so taking it does not continue wearing down the Pituitary. I typically do not use the peptides or SARMS that mess with the Ghrelin receptor, but if you want to use them here and can deal with the hunger, they work too.

Not a Peptides
Methylene Blue added to the above maximizes all of them, and crosses the blood brain barrier which many of the peptides can't do. Some studies show TB-500 crossing, but we know for sure that Meth Blue does and it has a ton of benefits that all work together to maximize your body's effeciency.

Baja Gold sea salt first thing in the moring on an empty stomach fixes a problem that 85% or more of Americans have because it is so high in the minerals that most people ignore and are so difficult to get through diet.

EAA's first thing in the morning on empty stomach, has all 9 essential Aminos and don't break a fast. Any protein you eat must be broken down into these aminos before they can be used and all break a fast. BCAA's are not complete and any excess turns into sugar unless you complete the amino profile. Same reason Animal proteins work better than plant based.

You can go on forever about oral supplements, because so many are important but most are well known, so I am not listing them here. Hope this helps!

Just want to add to this. Form is 100% more important in swings than how much weight you are using, so anyone starting these need to watch videos on what to and not to do. This exercise has had as big of an impact on my health as almost anything I have ever added. Swimming and Farmers carry's being the other two. If you are over 40 KB Swings are a MUST

Form is definitely 100%, if you get lower back soreness then it is not being done right. I am also a huge fan of farmer’s walk, so many muscles are activated and many are stabilization muscles.

Same for me. I love them. Its functional training too because it helps ensure that I can carry all the groceries from the car in a single trip.

I swear my girl sees this as a challenge by the amount of bags she gets. In all truth however I saw more forearm improvement once I started adding them. I saw a guy using wrist straps and doing them and I thought he was leaving benefits on the table. His goal might have been more geared towards traps though so overload could have been the focus, or just ego.

Farmers Carries are definitely a compound movement, and staying on topic with the thread, I think they would rank with deadlifts for maximum muscle activation and mass building which all contributes to fat burning. To even make it more intense, I had the pleasurable misfortune of working out in a gym on the road that had a plate-loaded farmers carry treadmill. It was brutal so you never had to wait in line for it. Awesome machine.

Totally agree it’s an intense compound movement for overall strength, but the stimulus to fatigue ratio in a caloric deficit, with lifting program and LISS is a lot to recover from. Throwing it in here and there would be a cool idea though.

We have this machine and no one ever uses it except me.

I like to do walking shrug raises..from my strongman days.

Any heavy motion with movement gets me jacked and strong fast.. hurt sometimes too 🙃
