Once I touch 299-300# I'm backing down.
Plus the Dr is getting a little concerned about my RBCs and 'Crit.
Been elevated the past 3 blood tests... I go in fully hydrated so bad
I gotta piss before I leave. So I know that isn't a factor.
My PCP is also a "bodybuilder" who I train for free and is a good friend,
so if he's telling me something, I gotta listen.

Actually my wind is pretty good @ 300. I still do cardio 5x's a week and the
Super squats is cardio itself.
The BEST thing I ever did was to drop Tren years ago. (y)

I get out of breath doing bicep curls on tren! It’s ridiculous.. gonna be a while if I do decide to run it again.

Dropped the weight down as last weeks 680 was too much for my
CNS to tolerate....Still its 6fifty (y)
Once my winter blast starts... I'll start moving up in weight again. :)

My client/leg day partner got 680x20 again this week, he's been
stuck for the past 2-3 weeks @ this weight so I rearranged parts of
his diet to hopefully break that plateau..If he was 40. Id say up the gear.
But he's only in his early 20's no reason to push him with the gear just yet.
He's still growing.

I competed early on in the 242's then the 275's. After two years in the 275's my weight was up to 290-295 off season. I would have to use a long 15 week pre-contest prep to drop the 15-20 lbs and obviously strength was affected, but the long prep helped some. This was just prior to the introduction of the 308 weight class and then of course SHW. I was so much stronger at 295, I should have hit a few contests in SHW. I just did not want to give up all the bodyweight against the SHW guys, but I could have posted some really good numbers, as compared to my 275lb lifts. My squat and bench were effected by the 15-20 lb pre-contest prep, (65lbs on squat and 35 on bench). but deadlift never was effected? Strange?

I stopped my "Pling career" in the 242 class and I was getting smoked
by just about everybody. I had friends in the 308 and SHW classes
that couldn't bench for shit, but more than made up for it with the
Squat and DL.
I do miss the competition in powerlifting and I always go to the biggest
meet in the state every year. Oddly enough there are still guys I started training with in the late 80s who are still powerlifting!! Love it.

12 point pinch I like to have done on Monday to keep things "accurate"

Had the pinch done today... 9.1% Bf on just maintenance kcals.

Yea man I had a great time and was on a PL team with some good guys who were strength freaks and that was the best time in my training career. There was a gang out in Ohio at Louie Simmons Gym, "West Side" that were killin it when I was in the mix. Two guys in the 275's were leading the weight class in the US at that time and I could never get all 9 lifts to click on the platform on contest day, never did get one over on those two. Bo the 220's and 242's are the most crowded weight classes, more lifters fit that model and there were some studs. Three event powerlifting is a tough sport and to go 9 for 9 on the platform is not easy. Good stuff huh? Great memories, cool to shoot the shit with you.
