Cool story. You also aren’t going to magically OD off 200 or even 300mg unless you are on potassium sparing diuretics or have certain medical conditions.
Considering you died from having low potassium you clearly weren’t at risk from over supplementing…
There’s a whole lot of fear mongering with potassium. They literally have regulations about the strength of “supplements” having to be under 100mg for safety but unless you’re slamming 10 of them at a time or hooking it up to an IV you’re not going to kill yourself from hyperkalemia….or did the doctors not explain it all to you when you were recovering like they did to me?
I mean FFS there was a thread on here about potassium and members were taking grams of potassium throughout the day clearly not dropping dead
It’s one thing to warn someone “hey careful cuz these are potential issues” but it’s a whole other to just say “it’s dangerous and will kill you” with literally zero explanation. At least I gave some legitimate explanation to the risks while also making it clear you’re not going to keel over dead out of nowhere.
I supplement a gram throughout the day on top of 4-5 grams through food a day. You’re not going to die drinking an extra Gatorade or two unless you have a medical restrictions. Which I figure OP would know to avoid ootasssium if his doctors prescribed him meds that needed to avoid potassium
