Who's going on vacation this summer?

Just got back.
Took my wife, daughter and pup on a 12 day road trip. From Indiana to Colorado Springs, CO, Estes Park, CO, Wheatland, WY, Devils Tower, Speafish, SD, Keystone, SD and home. Did some hiking, sight seeing, driving of canyons and mountains, State Parks, National Parks. Wife and daughter have never been west or seen the Rockies, so I had to take them. Great experience. Highly recommend the mountains to anyone.

Just landed in Paris today w the wife, kids and mother in law. Plan is Paris 3 days, then Rome 3 days then 7 day Mediterranean cruise on Royal Caribbean … then back home to the states when a solid mini cut diet will ensue for 6 weeks to get my ass back in shape after two weeks of gluttony

I'm actually going to Israel and Egypt in August

I'm scared as hell though bc I'm driving this time . I have no clue how I'm gonna get around bc nothing is in English lol.

Last year when I was in Jerusalem I was the only American I saw over a 2 day period.

Israel is great. Been there few times. Careful in Egypt specially when visiting the Pyramids. Tons of tourist scammers that tell you once price and when you pick a tour or camel ride or an item they want something else. Drink plenty of water.
As for as my family we are not leaving the country. Four days in Vegas, 4 days in New York and 4 days at a lake boating, swimming and just relaxing.

Yup there's a camera function right in Google Translate, just point it at the sign and it'll overlay the translation in real time, it's pretty cool. Works for restaurant menus too, anything printed really.

I have zero clue how I am going to get around but I need to find out asap!!! Or I will be lost again.

I used public transport, trains, taxi and buses last time I was there and I still got lost even then. Israel if you can picture it is exactly how the Bible describes it. Everything is ancient and its not alot of traffic signs or directions. Its all you would think it is, an ancient civilization. Many of the temples and houses are hundreds if not 1000 years old.

Its cool as hell but getting around as an American, who doesn't speak Arabic is scary to say the least.

I was on a public bus and an israeli cop that spoke English tried to bribe me. Well I got directly in his face, and told him I would throw him from the moving bus if he continued to speak to me. He backed off real quick. The Jews on the bus with me that spoke English were grinning ear to ear. Over there no one questions the Police. He met the wrong person to try and scam. But I will try to avoid issues w their L.E. I was dressed in camo shorts and a black shirt so I think they thought I was Military. That prob helped my cause.

Oh yeah he thought you were US Military for sure lol! Use Google Maps as best you can but when in doubt pull over, take a deep breath, and re-calibrate. Nothing clouds thinking like stress.

Hope you stopped in at that salt water taffy store there in Estes where they have the taffy of the day being made in the window! That shit is absolutely killer! Also that drive is boring as shit from Indiana until you hit Denver haha! Glad you guys had a good trip and your wife and daughter got to experience the mountains for their first time!
