Did anyone try Who tried GLP-1 receptor agonists fat burning? Semaglutide/Tirzepatide are some of the most widely used

Curious if it has any long term negative effect. I'm thinking of two potential:
1. Insulin resistance due to increased insulin levels
2. Lower insulin production after you stop the medication. Similar to what happens when you stop Testosterone cold turkey.

Thanks

Does it really help to drop fat ? is it because you eat less or because it helps to burn more calories ?
Also, what was the protocol ? How to use it ?

you eat less. Not sure about protocol. It makes you feel full, slows your digestive system making you feel full faster, when you eat. But also makes you feel like you have a lot of gas. Lowers your sugar levels as well.

Its a really expensive and short lived deal. Look at tesofensine. I have some ordered that Im about to try out. Its very long acting.

It has been shown in studies to induce weight loss with effectiveness between that of liraglutide and semaglutide. Its also wayyy cheaper than either of those two.

You have a dosing protocol for this yet?

I just received my prescription today of Wegovy (Semaglutide). Gonna take my first dose Monday. I will follow the recommend dosing (below) from the manufacturer and see my doctor every 4 weeks. I dont know how but my doctor got my insurance to pay for it. Its basically an appetite suppressant. I hope it dosent fuck me up somehow?

0.25mg every week for 4 weeks
0.5mg every week for 4 weeks
1mg every week for 4 weeks

I wish you luck. My issue with Semaglutide is that it IS a suppressant......and thats why I'm hesitant in giving it a go. Being a suppressant kinda defeats the use for bodybuilding purposes. I have researched that for some the suppressant will subside after a short time which I'm interested in hearing about your results.

Please post up your results.

There's a 48 page thread on Meso-Rx about these new type of appetite suppressants. A lot of good info on there. Tirzepatide is suppose to last longer from what I have read. But most people start on Semaglutide. The only reason I'm trying it is my insurance is paying for it. Otherwise forget it's to expensive. I'll just do what I've been doing with diet and cardio.

Not that I can recommend based on experience. If I were trying to cut, I'd start out at whatever was used in the studies done on the weight loss benefits of it. Tony huge has a bunch of videos and he mentions the studies in one where he compares it to the GLP1 agonists with Leo and Longevity.

Im going to start by using .5mg every other day and go from there. I've heard some guys will only take it once every 3 days though. Maybe I'll make a log about it.

Lookin' forward to that.
Yeah me too! I am hoping to replace adderall with it. Been on 20mg adderall for like 2 years. It was awesome for the first few months but now I honestly think its hurting my work performance. I just focus super hard on whatever distracts me from my work. But im a bad fog on days I dont take it.

Hoping tesofensine clears that fog. Like a pct from addy lol.

Phentermine is a very good appetite suppressant. I personally wouldn't mess with this stuff.

Phen can have it's issues too. I tolerate it pretty well and is helpful for like a 30 to 60 day stint.

Curious to hear your experience with this? Hope you give us some insight sometime soon.

it's not that expensive. You need 0.25mg a week. You can buy it on peptide websites

I receives a 4 pen pack of Weogy 0.25mg for my fist 4 weeks through my insurance. The first week it worked well. A little nasuea that was all. The second and the third week i feel nothing. I guess my body dosent like the stuff or I already adjusted to it. I can't raise the dose to see if that's the problem since these are the official weogy pens. I don't think I care to much since my Dr warned me that it could cause blindness in a small percentage of people. I'm no willing to chance it. I will do it the old fashion way. Diet & cardio. I hope others have better luck.....

Any updates?

The wife has tried both. They both work great for appetite suppression. Semaglutide causes a bit more nausea for her, so she prefers Tirzepatide.
