Very curious on this guys.

In your opinion, what is the one true quality that makes a good wife?

Loyalty?
Compassion?
Respect to husband?
Faith in God?

Just throwing these out there as examples.

As for me…..it’s loyalty to husband.

I would say a good man makes a good wife. As in, if you treat a woman fairly and set ground rules for your relationship and be good to her while firm in your expectations… you’ll at least know if you got a good wife or not.

There’s always exceptions.

But all those things you listed is a good start.

Agreed. We set the grounds for a relationship and lead our woman to treat us accordingly
 
I don't think there is a universal answer here, we all need different things from our women. I think a good wife brings balance to her husband. This applies to how they parent together, and walk through life together, and it will look different in every marriage.
A good wife has strengths in the areas where her husband is weakest, and vice versa.

This is a great way to put it.
 
Loyalty, trust and respect above all else. Of course she deserves the same. But to me loyalty and trust are paramount, or the relationship is doomed. Better to not even start a serious relationship if its lacking either of those 2 things. If she let's you get the butt every now and then that's a nice bonus 👌
 
I think it really comes down to having similar/compatible values. Not saying you can't ever disagree, but you gotta be on the same page when it comes to the big things. Money, kids, health, cleanliness, mutual respect, loyalty, all that good stuff. And those answers are gonna be a little different for everyone. Also having compatible lifestyles. Again not saying you have to do everything together, but if you wake up at 5am to start your day and she's just getting to bed after partying all night, she's probably not the one for you.

I echo a lot of what they guys are saying.

My current fiance was engaged to another guy years ago. She would have made a terrible wife back then. Years of bad relationships, abuse, beaten down self-esteem, too much drinking to cope and being co-dependant. Flash forward years after being treated with honesty, respect and complimented and she is a changed woman. She cleans before I get home, dinner is on the table, she cuddles now, itsn;t defensive.

Dude this is so great and honestly it was kinda similar for my girl. I saw who she was on the inside and through feeling true love and respect and appreciation she was able to peel off all her scars and find herself again. She's my dream girl and my best friend and I couldn't imagine doing this life without her.

Great answer. I think similar interests also help. My wife is into fitness- more from a longevity perspective, and does HIT workouts, classes, and plays tennis. She uses GLP-1 and a few mild peptides.
I enjoy bodybuilding and gear.

While she thinks bodybuilding is kinda strange and a bit gay, she’s stoked I don’t go out drinking and all that bullshit and am setting a positive example for our kids.

Additionally, we lift together at the YMCA on the weekends and listen to “health” podcasts and then discuss them together.

Not 100% aligned but similar enough to give us something to share!

This is great man! My girl doesn't really do the gym but she does yoga and she absolutely loves all the fun outdoor fitness activities with me. Gravel cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding,snorkeling/free diving, hiking, all that good stuff. And we both love nature and wildlife. She's on a few peps and she definitely gets the gear thing I'm doing. I felt a little guarded about it when I started but she essentially told me just be open about everything and it's all good, she trusts me to make informed and wise decisions. She also LOVES the results lol 😆
 
How important is it to your wife and/or you guys that you hangout with each others friends?

does it matter that you hangout with each other friends or can you go fine with just knowing who they are on a basic level?

Basically— Can you live life never really hanging out with their friends or double dates, etc?

We do a bit of both. One of my closest friends ended up marrying one of her closest friends (actually kinda how we met and started hanging out - pool party at their house), and we love a double date with them. We both know all of each other's friends and know they're all decent human beings all around, but we don't always have to hang out all together. I have my gym buddies and surfing buddies who she doesn't have that much in common with and she has her arts and crafts friends who I don't have that much in common with. Long story short it's a mix.
