What foods have you grown to hate because of this lifestyle?

I still like all of the bodybuilding staples I have always eaten. Most of my hate (more like disgust) of any foods is their origin or ingredients. I simply cannot buy or justify eating so many of the things available.
I will however eat from time to time, something bioengineered or containing kak ingredients, but that is very rare. ate two cherry turnovers this moring. I shudder to think what they contain.

I am sitting here struggling to think of anything I can't stand because of the lifestyle and decades of eating.

edit
Cooked fish. Not a fan. I have found a way to eat it though. Fish Monger spice.

Yeah buddy. Anything processed or in a can. 😝 Can't do it. I do all my cooking and grocery shopping and that garbage is not on the list.

Idk some will call me insane or a liar but I’m not sick of anything and don’t think I ever will be. I’ve literally eaten the same meals for almost 20 weeks straight now give or take one or two and I could care less. There’s different sauces and seasonings and cooking styles and pairings we can use to fit our cals and macros etc. idk the way I look at it I want the cheapest healthiest options that will yield me the best results that’s why we follow the plan. I literally got chicken breast for 1.20 a lb a whole back and swai fillets for 1.79 and have been stocked the fuck up I’ll eat this shit every day to save money and achieve mu goals till I run out or find that sale again 🤣

As someone who was a chubby kid and can eat all day without getting full, it's not so much what I'm sick of as I like everything in my diet BUT it's what I miss eating! And the amounts. Yeah, I'll have a bite or two of somethings in the off-season but the glory days of going to all you can eat buffets and doing destruction are sorely missed. lol

When I'm asked if I could have one wish in life, I swear it would be to eat whatever and how much without getting fat.

I think a lot of us would appreciate certain foods more if we weren’t forcing them down everyday on a set schedule. It’s hard to go to a restaurant and order fish if you’ve eaten fish 14 times in the past week.

Ah…see, if I could have any wish it would be to still be able to pack on mass without eating much at all. I love to train, but I hate all the food, no matter what it is. It’s the worst part of this lifestyle for me. Which is why I absolutely love when Spring/cutting time rolls around. Eating shitloads of food just plain sucks.

I have so many recipes in my food log app with close to the same macros I'm not tired of eating anything yet. Between that and cooking stuff that tastes like a dessert but I can fit in my macros, I'm good.

I do get tired of rice but between me and my wife, who has been meal prepping with me on the weekends for a while, we can come up with enough variety to make things taste good/different every week. Getting her on board and supportive has been huge for me. Get you a good wife boys

I don't do social media but she does and we follow a bunch of people that cook and follow a fitness lifestyle. Tons of recipes to be found out there that allow you to eat good and stay on track

Chicken. Have eaten so much damn dry chicken that shit almost makes me nauseous

But damn it’s also one of the best macro friendly foods. I still like it in dishes with other foods or sometimes I’ll still eat dry chicken and rice and maybe just mix up the sauces for variety.

Have probably eaten 10s of thousands of pounds of chicken though, it gets old after a while, then I’ll usually rotate to beef or fish and stick with that until I burn out, then rotate back

Also had the worst food poisoning of my life with tilapia so I’d maybe even put that higher than chicken.

Never gotten sick from chicken. Bad tillapia had me throwing up for 3 days

None anymore. But in my twenties I ate about 9000 cans of tuna fish mixed in with Mac n cheese and a can of rotel
it was cheap, easy to prepare and cured hunger pains all while hitting a decent mix of macros haha

That’s a solid poor man’s mass builder.
More palatable than my tuna shakes.

This is pretty much my biggest limiter. I just don’t really like eating.
Even my prep food amounts are too much.
Maybe this is why I don’t have any issues with prep like the hunger most people experience.
When I am into single digits body fat and a couple weeks out I start to want that next meal, but 50 weeks out of the year, eating is a chore.

It’s actually pretty tasty all things considered haha
Well today, those macaronis are paper thin and offer zero substance.

A few months back when was I back and forth Cape Town to dfw I made it for lunch one day and unused whole wheat macaronis and it was pretty tasty. I subbed the tuna for canned chicken from Costco it’s about a 10 minute meal, pretty nice in a pinch

I ate so much tuna and tilapia I don't even like the smell of fish.
I'll tell you right now I'm no punk to bad food LMAO I used to not have enough time to eat my beef and rice so I threw 8 ounces of cooked beef and 300 grams of rice with greens in a blender and blend it to chunky smoothy and chug it down one meal of tilapia I'm gagging 😂 😂 😂

If I remember right Seattle used to do that. I've admittedly made some concoctions that would gag a hog. 🤷

Not sure if it was discipline or my autism 😂 speaking of bad food I keep my meals meal prepped and frozen in the freezer and I'm a mover so I constantly have access to the microwave so sure enough last week I was in these apartments and the lady said theres no microwave here I am litterly chipping away chunks of my frozen hard rice mean of turkey rice and sweet peas it was so hard getting it down when I hit cold chunks 😂 😂 but damn it I got it down still

Shits nasty I can't do it anymore I like sushi fish but that's about as far as it goes
Here are a couple of early gifts from Ol’ Santa.
I prefer to eat fish raw. If I eat cooked fish like I have to in prep, I only eat quality species from North or South American waters. Mahi Mahi, cod, robalo, snapper, etc. For me, the more bland the better.
I dredge my portions in this spice, which is available at Walmart. I then fry in macadamia nut oil. I get a bit of crisp on it if I can. Takes less than 10 minutes to cook.
Completely changed the game for me.

Quality canned tuna, not the “cat food” stuff makes all the difference. I am not even sure I knew what the good canned tuna was until propbably 30.

Any farmed fish is a no go fo me. Same with farmed shrimp/prawns. They use swai, which is called “basa,” in Cabo for fish and chips. Ask the waiter “What type of fish is it?” and the answer will always be “sea bass” (cabrilla), which it IS NOT.
I can detect the muddy smell of swai and tilapia from across the room.
Fish that eat the shit of fish that eat shit. Nasty!
I despise egg whites, I have to make hot sauce soup with it
Otro regalo temprano de Papa Noel:
You have to put at least one whole egg in with the whites. If not just for flavor, for nutritional enhancement.
Something I do because I am sick of scrambled eggs is, I now cook the 250g of whites with 3 whole eggs. I let them fry in a pan of macadamia nut oil like they are just three big over easy (or sunny side up) eggs. I then chop them up on a plate and the cooked whites are covered in runny yolks. The flavor is significantly different than scrambled and even though I ultimately lose a bit of the yolk on the plate, the palatability makes it worth it.

I know this isn’t really on topic but I’ll drop it here anyway
I smoked about 10lbs of chicken this weekend, me and my youngest son ate about 90% of it

I’ll never ever get tired of smoked meats, white dark or beef, season it up and graze on it all day … I could eat this way everyday

That's what I need to start getting into, so many people are smoking, yeah I know nothing about it. My brother and his buddies are really huge into it..

Im pretty sure you’ve seen my Traeger smoker wood pellet grill for. , Its the only way I cook meat, it taste better than any oven cooked meats and the smoke feature is a whole new level of taste and ease. I put it on early AM and its does before you know it

yesterday I used a cajun rosemary, onion and garlic with, slap ya momma for spice and I drizzle honey all over it

the down side is you can’t stop eating it, your little man and woman will be praising you haha
