Fuck that ego lifting leads to nothing but trouble man
People always ask what can you bench what can you squat?
My standard answer is how much you think I can? Lol
I've always said I wanna look like a can lift 500lbs not necessarily lift it
I have a goal to get back to a 315 bench so far ive gotten to 305 for 5. Is it ego probably but its also personal goal i feel i need to reach.
 
I think i need to include more volume training regularly. Just have to give up the Ego some, always want to move more weight. 41 years old and still let the Ego get me lol. My side delts have responded better to light weight more reps, and are starting to come along now.

I’ve also come to the same conclusion about my own training, did upper/lower or ppl type splits for last couple years, and it works don’t get me wrong but I’ve found I respond better to more volume, and slightly lighter weight on certain body parts, shoulders and arms specifically. So lately been doing a modified bro split, more volume and dedicated days.

Legs and side delts, chest, back, arms, legs, chest/back. Rest days are auto regulated based on training performance, fatigue, life etc.

Been having a great time with this style last few weeks.

Million ways to skin a cat.

Just gotta find what works for you. And run with it.
