Today I begin BCP-157 and TB500 for a rotator cuff tear (moderate tear, MRI confirmed) in the hopes of avoiding surgery. I am following the protocol detailed here. I will log results weekly here, for those who are interested, and for those who would like to comment from their experience.

Background: I was MRI diagnosed with a right rotator cuff tear 13 weeks ago (I was experiencing extreme shoulder pain). Despite that, 11 weeks ago I started a 11 week Test 750mg / Deca 350mg cycle. The effects of AAS reduced the pain in my shoulder by 90% and I was able to train relatively heavy. Yes, I know this was dumb, but I did it anyway, and it worked out. A second MRI confirms the tear is no worse, and the gains from the cycle are substantial (it was a calculated risk, and it paid off, probably). I'm just coming off cycle now. Here are the results at the very end of the cycle:
  • Height: 6'4" --> 6'4" (didn't grow taller :unsure: )
  • Weight: 236 --> 258 (+22 lbs)
  • Shoulder width: 26.25" --> 29.25 (+3")
  • Chest: 52.25" --> 54" (+1.75")
  • L Bicep: 17.25" --> 18.25" (+1")
  • R Bicep: 17" --> 18.25" (+1.25")
  • L Thigh: 26 --> 27.5" (+1.5)
  • R Thigh: 26.5" --> 28" (+1.5)
  • Waist (at belt level): 38" --> 39" (+1")
  • Waist (at narrowest point): 36.75" --> 37.5" (+.75")
Without going into detail of lift weights, my overall strength across the board is up about 15%. This doesn't seem like a lot, but I was very strong to start, and have been lifting for 40 years, so I think a 15% increase is decent at this point in my life. A couple examples: incl dbell press went from 90s/100s for 8-12 to 110s for 8-10 (with a right-cuff tear); leg press went from 850lbs to 1,000lbs for 8-10 reps.

Cutting / Healing Phase: Today I begin a cutting / healing phase for 8 weeks. I estimate that within the 22 lbs I gained, 5 lbs is fat, represented in the 1" extra around my waist and 5-7 lbs is water from the Deca. I worked very hard to keep water retention to a minimum, and that 5-7lbs estimate is based on average water retention for my height/weight and spot measurements of ankles, wrists, fingers. Assuming the worst case water retention, and based on muscle measurements, I believe I have gained 10-12 lbs of muscle, which is very reasonable for a first cycle (in 30+ years). The goal of the cutting phase starting today is to lose 5-8lbs of fat, all the extra water, and keep 90% the muscle. At the same time, the goal of the healing phase is to heal the tear enough to avoid surgery. I have no delusion that surgery is avoidable forever, but at 55, if I can hold it off for 5-10 years, I'm calling it a win. Even if I need to do BCP-157 and TB500 twice a year for 10 years, so be it.

The next 8 weeks will consist of the following:
  • The 8 week BCP-157 and TB500 protocol, injecting TB500 intramuscular into the shoulder (side delt near the tear), and BCP-157 subcutaneously right on top of the injury.
  • TRT: Test Cyp 250mg and 100mg Deca / week.
  • .25mg Anastrozole / week.
  • Diet: high protien (350g/day), low fat, low carb. Max calories: 2,200.
  • 3x lifting per week (1: upper push, 2: upper pull, 3: lower all)
  • 4x martial arts per week (been a martial artist for 41 years, not going to stop now)
End goals:
  • 245 lbs lean (single digit body fat), which will be 10-12 more muscle than from the start of the cycle, and a couple % less fat.
  • A fixed, or at least well functioning, rotator cuff, which will avoid surgery. Surgery is scheduled for late December as a back-up plan.
  • A new girlfriend with huge tits 😂
I will come back to this thread weekly and post each week's progress. The point of the thread is threefold:
  1. To give detailed results on a Test/Deca cycle 8 weeks out.
  2. To give detailed results on BCP-157 and TB500 therapy, specifically in the case of a rotator cuff injury.
  3. To get advice back from anyone who has knowledge and would like to share.
And away we go...

I use the nasal spray BPC 157 & TB500 & it works great
Did you buy the wolverine nasal spray Bcp157 & TB500 ?

Did you buy the wolverine nasal spray Bcp157 & TB500 ?

I did not, I'm injecting. I did not know about the spray when I bought the injectable compounds.

Same without being psychotic and stupid
Actually, I've learned to go with that. Give me a hot mess of bitch with huge tits any day. I used to think, "if I could just find one that wasn't psychotic and stupid" but now I look at it completely differently. I look at them like a disposable Ferrari. You hop in, drive it like you stole it, take turns like a mad man, run it until it into the ground until it runs out of gas, and then just walk away and get another one. I will admit, as I get older, "getting another one" is a harder and harder proposition, but all you have to do is accept even more psychotic and stupid and it gets easier 🤣

LMAO BIG FUCKING FACTS! You wanna take her for a spin?

UPDATE 11/19: 1/8 Weeks Complete.

One week out of test/deca cycle, one week into cutting cycle and BCP/TB for healing rotator tear. See first post for current dosages, and added daily Clenbuterol. In the table below, the first number is pre test/deca cycle, second number is immediately post cycle, the third number is today.
  • Height: 6'4"
  • Weight: 236 --> 258 --> 251
  • Shoulder width: 26.25" --> 29.25" --> 29"
  • Chest: 52.25" --> 54" --> 53.25"
  • L Bicep: 17.25" --> 18.25" --> 18"
  • R Bicep: 17" --> 18.25" --> 18"
  • L Thigh: 26 --> 27.5" --> 27.0"
  • R Thigh: 26.5" --> 28" --> 27.5"
  • Waist (at belt level): 38" --> 39" --> 38.5"
  • Waist (at narrowest point): 36.75" --> 37.5" --> 37.0"
So, a hard week of cutting and 7 pounds off 😬 More than half of that must be water weight from the absence of high levels of Deca. However, for sure I've gotten leaner, with a 1/2" off my waist. All other numbers are also slightly down, but that can be attributed to water and fat loss, not muscle loss.

Regarding the healing, and BPC/TB, and the tear. The bad news, for the first part of the week, the injury was noticeably worse. So much so, I couldn't do chest this past week. However, again I have to factor in the absence of high levels of deca. That was masking pain and without it, of course I hurt worse. The good news, the last two days the pain has subsided and the shoulder feels better. Hopefully that is BPC/TB doing it's thing, but it's much too early to tell, and it could be coincidence since there isn't enough of a pattern.

Week 2/8 will continue, same diet, increasing Clen from 50mcg this week to 100mcg by the end of the week. Goal is to to lose 2-3 more pounds (all fat), to hold all muscle gains, and heal the shoulder more.

UPDATE 11/26: 2/8 Weeks Post-Cycle Complete.

Two week out of test/deca cycle, two weeks into cutting cycle, and BCP/TB for rotator tear. See first post for post-cycle dosages. Hit goal weight at the end of the week, and stopped Clenbuterol.

First numbers are pre test/deca cycle, second number is immediately post cycle, the third number is today.
-----------------------------------------------------
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 236 --> 258 --> 249 (hoping to stabilize here)
Shoulder width: 26.25" --> 29.25" --> 28.75"
Chest: 52.25" --> 54" --> 53.25"
L Bicep: 17.25" --> 18.25" --> 18"
R Bicep: 17" --> 18.25" --> 18"
L Thigh: 26 --> 27.5" --> 27.0"
R Thigh: 26.5" --> 28" --> 27.5"
Waist (at belt level): 38" --> 39" --> 38.25"
Waist (at narrowest point): 36.75" --> 37.5" --> 36.75"

Two weeks cutting and 9 pounds off. Of course a lot was water, but as the waist numbers show, a solid 3-5 pounds of fat came off as well. Muscle holding steady, and I can easily attribute any smaller muscle numbers to just fat and water loss. The goal now for weeks 3-8 is to very slowly decrease fat over 6 more weeks, and not sacrifice any muscle. Looking for no more than .5lb fat loss per week for a total of 3 more pounds off by the end of the 8 weeks.

Regarding BPC/TB, and the rotator tear. The injury is still more painful than it was on the test/deca cycle, but seems to be very slowing getting better. It's very hard to tell because the pain was being masked by the test/deca cycle, and once that completed, the pain came back in full force. Now at the end of the 2nd week of BPC/TB it's at about 60% pain. So, does that mean the BPC/TB is doing it's job? Maybe, or maybe it's just feeling better from all the rest. Still too early to tell.

Week 3/8 will continue with slightly increased calories and eliminating Clen. So far, everything is on track to the muscle and fat loss goals, but I'm skeptical BPC/TB will get me out of surgery. I think by the end of next week, it will be clearer (I hope).

Before after pics, 2 weeks before starting cycle, and now, 2 weeks after stopping cycle (got tattoos while on cycle). Fourteen net pounds added as of today (236 --> 258 --> 249). That might seem like a lot, and the pics don't look like +14 pounds, but keep in mind I'm 6'4". That's a lot of height to over which to spread out 14 pounds. Assuming I hold the gains I see here, I'll be happy.

You look good, you should be happy. Single digit BF is hard. Im similar size to you, 6' 6" 248. I wear 34W 36L pants and they fit loose around the waist. My current BF is at most 8%, probably closer to 7%. To keep that I do 90 minutes of cardio each morning and 30 minutes of shadow boxing wearing 5 lb. wrist weights in the evening.

Bigger guys love being big but you could theoretically lose 15 more pounds yet look bigger because your waist would be trimmer giving you the illusion of more size due to your shoulders looking much broader due to a smaller waist and flatter stomach. Being big is great, but a flat stomach is more aesthetically appealing to women. Either way, you made a great improvement

Thanks very much. And 6'6" with a 34" waist... holy shit! I will never see that number again, but I would like to get to 36".

Keep it up, bro. I got have a client, 62 years old, who tore his rotator cuff cutting some timber. We used BPC and TB4 (not TB500), and in just 2 and a half months, he was back doing light shoulder workouts. He was on 500mcg of both, twice a week. Remarkable what these things can do. If you like tb500 you should give TB4 a shot. Its got a much wider variety of benefits.

That is very encouraging. Did your client completely rest for that 2.5 months, or did he keep up workouts. I'm working out still, but very light and around the injury. I'm wondering if even that much is bad, and I should do nothing with my shoulder at all.

Rested for the 2.5 months. Was very hard for him to do since its a hobby as well but it paid off. He went from not being able to take off and on shirts without excruciating pain to doing shoulders again. He continued doing 250mcg 2x per week of each for 8 months i believe.

Excellent information. Thank you.

UPDATE 12/03: 3/8 Weeks Complete.

Three weeks out of test/deca cycle, three weeks into cutting cycle, and BCP/TB for rotator tear. See first post for post-cycle dosages. Hit new goal weight at the end of the 2nd week, and stopped Clenbuterol.

First number below is pre test/deca cycle, second number is immediately post cycle, the third number is today.
-----------------------------------------------------
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 236 --> 258 --> 249
Shoulder width: 26.25" --> 29.25" --> 29.00"
Chest: 52.25" --> 54" --> 53.50"
L Bicep: 17.25" --> 18.25" --> 18.125"
R Bicep: 17" --> 18.25" --> 18.125"
L Thigh: 26 --> 27.5" --> 27.25"
R Thigh: 26.5" --> 28.0" --> 28.0"
Waist (at belt level): 38" --> 39" --> 38.25"
Waist (at narrowest point): 36.75" --> 37.5" --> 36.75"

Very odd, but very good news. Overall weight is holding steady at my new target weight (249 versus 245), and slight gains in all measurements except waist. So, it seems I'm still gaining a little muscle, even being off the cycle 3 weeks and only on TRT. No clue what to attribute that to, but the numbers don't lie, and other people have noticed.

More good news, not great but good, the shoulder is definitely better, but obviously still injured. Coming off gear, the pain shot through the roof, but slowly over the last 3 weeks, BPC/TB seems to be doing it's job. My shoulder in the last couple days feels the best it has in months. However, it is still obvious it is injured and I can't push it. Basically, it's reached the point where if I just go about normal life, I don't notice it any more. I can sleep on that side again, and carry the groceries without pain, etc. However, as soon as I attempt something extra-ordinary like hitting the heavy bag or dumbbell pressing with anything substantial, it lets me know it's still there. My conclusion at this point is BPC/TB works. However, my doubt at this point is it will not work well enough to avoid surgery. Five weeks of BPC/TB to go, so we'll see.

For now, sticking to maintenance calories, maybe a slight deficit so be safe. Working around the injury, not stressing it at all, and doing whatever else I can to grow and stay fit.

Side note, for all who called bullshit on a Test/Dec cycle... I call bullshit on your bullshit. 11 weeks on, 3 weeks off so far, and not only did I not "deflate," I'm still growing a little, I am as lean or leaner than when I started, and no sign of any water retention at this point. No final judgement until 8 weeks out, but all indications so far are a solid 13 pounds of muscle gained over 11 weeks Test/Deca cycle.

UPDATE 12/10: 4/8 Weeks Post Cycle Complete.

Four weeks out of test/deca cycle, four weeks into cutting cycle (but no longer cutting), and taking BCP/TB for rotator tear.

First number below is pre test/deca cycle, second number is immediately post cycle, the third number is today.
-----------------------------------------------------
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 236 --> 258 --> 248
Shoulder width: 26.25" --> 29.25" --> 29.00"
Chest: 52.25" --> 54" --> 53.50"
L Bicep: 17.25" --> 18.25" --> 18.125"
R Bicep: 17" --> 18.25" --> 18.125"
L Thigh: 26 --> 27.5" --> 27.25"
R Thigh: 26.5" --> 28.0" --> 28.0"
Waist (at belt level): 38" --> 39" --> 38.25"
Waist (at narrowest point): 36.75" --> 37.5" --> 36.75"

Overall weight is holding steady at my new target weight (249) and all gains holding. Numbers this week are identical to last, except I'm a pound lighter, but not on purpose.

BPC/TB definitely works! Still not well enough to avoid surgery, but the difference is night and day. If I was a normal person, just needing to carry groceries and mow the lawn, I would not have surgery. However, with the work I put my body through, I can tell it's not healed enough and probably won't be. Maybe it will be over the next 4 weeks, but at the moment I doubt it. You never know though, I didn't expect it to be this good at all, so we'll see.

Sticking to maintenance calories. Four weeks out of the 11-week Test/Deca cycle, and holding a solid 10-12 pound pure muscle gain. At this point I have no reason to believe I won't continue to hold the gains, they're mine now.

UPDATE 12/16: 5/8 Weeks Post Cycle Complete.

Five weeks out of test/deca cycle, taking BCP/TB for rotator tear.

First number below is pre test/deca cycle, second number is immediately post cycle, the third number is today.
-----------------------------------------------------
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 236 --> 258 --> 250
Shoulder width: 26.25" --> 29.25" --> 29.00"
Chest: 52.25" --> 54" --> 54.00"
L Bicep: 17.25" --> 18.25" --> 18.125"
R Bicep: 17" --> 18.25" --> 18.25"
L Thigh: 26" --> 27.5" --> 27.50"
R Thigh: 26.5" --> 28.0" --> 28.0"
Waist (at belt level): 38" --> 39" --> 38.50"
Waist (at narrowest point): 36.75" --> 37.5" --> 37.25"

Weight is up a little, but holding steady near my revised target (staying just under 250). All gains holding, and actually getting stronger again, with some slight size gains. I'm close to or exceeding all my end-of-cycle lift weights.

BPC/TB still giving benefits. Still not what I would need to avoid shoulder surgery, but I'm happy with the results regardless.

Are you just injecting the BPC/TB into your delt or are you putting it in different locations such as on top of the rotator cuff?

I'm putting the BPC subcutaneous right on top of where the tear is, and TB into the delt muscle very near the tear, but not into the tear.

Thank you for your weekly updates. We are similar in stats and I came off my first cycle test/deca and going almost on two months and have retained all my strength but some visual gains are gone but I didnt get in with a tape like you did. Maybe on my second cycle I ll use a fabric tape so I can actually see growth on paper like data points to fall back on.
I m doing a cruise instead of a PCT route as I know a "TRT" cruise is what I ll do for life.

Thank you for the log, I read it every week.
