Ultra Processed Food Study

surprised this example doesnt make the rounds more often.
all his health markers improved via weightloss with a processed food.

"Haub's "bad" cholesterol, or LDL, dropped 20 percent and his "good" cholesterol, or HDL, increased by 20 percent. He reduced the level of triglycerides, which are a form of fat, by 39 percent."

100%

Drop bodyfat/weight and most health markers improve regardless of foods ingested. People can't seem to grasp this concept.

Not surprised that people couldn't even eat their required calories with unprocessed food.

Would be a fun experiment if you told a group of fat people to eat high protein, high fiber and low fat diet with no calorie restrictions.

Roughly 1/2 of the obese people that ask for coaching are already doing this. It's the bold part above. Calories in vs calories out. They overeat regardless. Whether it's twinkies or avocados, it doesn't significantly matter with weight.

a friend of mine was asking me how to lose weight or be healthier etc
told him to weigh his food and that was basically outta the question.
so i just told him to eat oats, potatoes and chickenbreast.
only eat those items and i figure it would be really hard to gain weight just eating that.
basically a full time job.
anyways real hard to help people.

I have had several people ask me for diet help and when I tell them to weigh and track what they eat, every single one looked at me like I was asking them to sacrifice their first born.

yep i harp nutrition constantly. its all diet.
i always use the example that if you want to burn 300 calories youd have to run/jog for an hour.

so i ask them tell me whats easier? running for an hour or just not eating a donut.

they always agree but i see them eat the donut anyway lol.

Had a guy showing me all his supplements he was using a few weeks ago and asked him if he was counting his calories and tracking his macros. He said he didn't know how to do all that and wasn't going to learn lol

Ok then buddy. Have fun

you should see the look on their faces when i tell them, for the most part, i eat exclusively potatoes and chicken breast and that Ill buy a 16lb bag of potatoes and roughly 12lbs of chicken breast for the week.

the potatoes right now last me about 10 days roughly.

the look on their faces is priceless, POTATOES? CARBS?
you dont look like you eat that lol.

I like buying food that has the nutrition facts on it already. Spares me from counting. Like protein bars. I only had 7 protien bars yesterday so I know exactly how much I ate. So easy. Or eating a bag of frozen hashbrowns a day (420 calories)

However, I do buy chicken in bulk and package them 200 grams each ziplock bag: this way I always know how much I’m eating.

if my food for the whole day was 7 protein bars ...... my gut would be all backed up while half starved HUNGRY AF at the same time....sounds miserable

That is terrible. :) Almost all lean meats and carbs have macros listed on them.

Bioavailability of protein is real.

Protein bars are supplement when no food is available.

oh man, dont even get me started. i had an embarrassing injury this week that i didnt even want to mention but who cares i guess.

tmi story incoming:
at some point when i went to the bathroom on monday i guess i was backed up, and didnt really realize i was pushing to hard. (playing clashroyale)

god damn my asshole was bruised/sore so bad like SO SO BAD.
part of the reason I couldnt even sleep last night.

wasnt even sure id be able to do my ham day today, because I could not even like clench or brace myself.

ended up not bothering me and I feel better now lol.

Your butthole muscle is ganna grow like a mofo. Careful doing a back double bicep it might pop out of your posing trunks 😂

So back to thread topic. Calories in or out induce weight gain or weight loss and the macros determine your look roughly.

If you lose weight you will automatically be healthier period.

And you can do it alot of ways but end of the day you gotta track what you eat

What’s crazy is they are actually trying to, if not already engineering food to fight the effects of glp1s. The snack industry isn’t going down without a fight.

Truth 👆
Ever date a fat girl?
Once, I made that mistake!
She never stopped eating!
I took her to a healthy Indian restaurant that she wanted to try. Trust me, that’s not my type of food on my one and only cheat day I got each week. But, I did what she wanted! It was very tasty! As we were driving out of the parking lot after dinner, she looks at me and growls, “I’m hungry!!!” ROARRRRR!!!!!
My roommate had a fat girlfriend, and same exact thing! She was always eating! Her hot cousin came over once. I’m thinking, ‘Why didn’t you date the cousin?’ Her cousin looks at her and says, “Why are you always eating?”
Being obese isn’t a disease! It may be a mental disorder similar to a drug addiction. It’s 100% a choice!!! 🐷 🐮

I’ve lost a good amount weight in the past months. I wasn’t fat but now everyone at work is asking me the secret. But a scale, track your food, and go walk 20 mins everyday and see what happens. Man they look at me like I’m crazy. There is no secret.

It's the added ketchup :ROFLMAO:
