The Gasman Files

2/14 lower

Had a good session today. Progressed on everything except the adductors, matched those from last session where I had added reps.

Fucked around and got this nasty leg pump pic, had to take it.

Adductor x2
Leg curl x3
Leg extension x3
Leg press x2
Calves x3
Glute kickback machine x3

2/15 Upper

Had a big jump on my incline DB press. Last time got 115s for 9. What to do? Go 120s or 125s? Went with the 125s and got 6 and 4 reps for my two sets. Huge sets for me very happy with that. Added another 10 pounds to my dips, 110 pounds on the belt for a set of 5. Will work with that weight and bring it to 10 reps.

Incline DB x2
Atlantis flat press x2
Nitro pec x2
OH extension x2
Dips x1
Lateral raise x3
Machine row x3
High-Low pulldown x2
Biceps x2

2/21 weekly check in

Average weight up to 193.8
That’s a 2.1 pound jump from last week which is funny to me since I brought the food up two weeks ago and then it just came out of nowhere this week. I’ll take it.

Condition still looks good to me. Good lines in the quads and lower back looks unchanged.

Getting the full bloodwork panel this morning. Hopefully all is good so I can keep going until end of April which is the plan. Want to thank @Nood for telling me about HelloGoodLabs. Bloodwork is crazy cheap on that site. Don’t know how they do it but I’m not complaining.

Training is still going great. Pressing and squaring strength continues to improve session to session. Well above prior levels.

Looking great man! Glad hellogoodlabs worked out for you! Definitely the cheapest I’ve found

Some shots from upper session. This was a good one, lots of progress across the session except lat. just been matching output on these for the last couple.

Each time my weight goes up I’m comparing to last year at similar weight and difference in body composition has been crazy to see. This really has been a massive recomp phase even though that wasn’t necessarily the goal.

Nutty man!

2/28 weekly check in

Up 0.8 pounds for a weekly average of 194.4

Perfect rate of gain. Kept food the same but I’ve been adding in an “off plan” serving of ice cream. I still weigh it and track it so i can see what it’s doing. An extra 400 calories 3 nights for the week.

Last Saturday I went to get bloodwork but the lab said i had quest codes, not labcorp. Was really annoyed because good labs said it didn’t matter. So here we are again, off to get bloodwork but at Quest. Hopefully Quest doesn’t tell me I have Labcorp codes or some shit like that 🤣

I’ll be hitting lower after at the backup gym. Nice to mog at the commercial gym once in a while, I usually only do cardio at that spot.

Coming up on the final stretch of this push. Realistically I’ll probably pull back at the end of March unless there is some unacceptable results from bloodwork.

Thanks bro. I used to post more day to day lifting logs but now just keep it overall methods or thought process on what I’m doing every once in a while regarding lifts.

I find it informational especially seeing different approaches etc to help
Compare and tweak mine whether it’s mindset rep ranges thought process philosophy etc

What’s up bros? Been a minute. Wanted to share these blood work results. I have been running 1.4 grams of gear, 8 IU of GH and 2mg Reta.

I have to say, I find this very impressive. While
Blasting in the past, my bloodwork looked fine but this is outstanding IMO. I know the topic of should BBs be using GLPs has all sorts of opinions and I was hesitant to using Reta in an offseason because of potential appetite issues but I seemed to find a dose that hasn’t impacted my appetite and maintain a level of insulin sensitivity I otherwise wouldn’t. I can’t see this as anything but a positive.

Maybe it’s not the right drug for everybody and like all substances we use, context and individual response will dictate what you should use or not.

I’d be curious for @Meetketchup to offer some feedback on this. I respect the man’s opinion. I know in general he is not a fan but with this type response I have had, I wonder if it changes anything.

Reta is outstanding on blood work and keeping insulin sensitivity in large carb/GH periods. The ONLY thing I dislike is the possible stomach/waist distension that occurs in some people due to the slow gastric emptying. I'm talking LARGE amounts of food though. It's just something I've noticed that can be noticeable when cutting back down. Of course, that doesn't apply for everyone. Also, I've seen cases with some stomach issues after discontinuing that can last weeks to months. :) That's all. Hope that clears up my position. Looks like it's working awesome for you! Bloods looking great and glad you're healthy!

Oh of course man. Wasn’t calling out your position or anything like that.

We are all conducting experiments on ourselves and wanted to share my N=1.

All of the observations you have witnessed were a lot of my reservations in trying but I figure why not give it a go at least once and see. So far so good.

As always, I appreciate your insight with the experience you have. 🫡

3/14 check in

Another week, another pound up. Average for the week is 197. Still happy with the look about 14 weeks in.

E2 finally came back after 2 weeks since the draw. 21pg/ml and that is running EQ at 40% of my test dose. I feel fine in the 20s so I’m happy with that.

Training is training. Still making consistent progress. Not every session but consistent enough.

Haven’t moved food around much, haven’t really needed to. I have been a little more flexible with the carbs/fats as long as I hit total calories for the day (~4700). Specifically what I use this for is at the end of the day and I ate say 800g of carbs and maybe 20g of fat, I’ll just have ice cream and end up with 825gcarbs and 50g of fat and works out. 3/21 check in

Weight up 1.4 pounds since last week. Rolling average 198.3 and still holding pretty good. Still haven’t made any big changes to food. I have been a little more liberal with the ice cream, usually 150g per night. Not a huge serving but at this point I think it’s helping. Kind of at that point where the appetite tends to go later in the day. Fortunately since I lift early I get like 60-70% of intake no problem by 12pm.

Training still going along nicely, slow and steady progress and been focusing on highly accurate reps. Always film my sets and compare to make sure reps are same tempo while maintaining intensity. Filming is a huge help.IMG_9002.jpegIMG_9003.jpegIMG_8828.jpegIMG_8843.jpeg

3/29 check in

Up another 1.5 pounds for rolling average of 199.6

Took these this morning. I was 202 fasted. Still not looking too bad. Going to keep pushing until the end of the month.

Had a consult call with Kurt to go my plan, timelines and weaning off the EQ so I don’t tank estrogen. EQ is pulled and I’m keeping test at 1 gram for another 3 weeks. Will drop to 750 for the remainder of April and cruise after that.

Still dealing with a nagging lower body injury. Been working with a PT who has given me a plan to follow. Dropping legs to one day per week and my other leg day is more of a “rehab” lower session. Lots of unilateral work. Daily mobility stuff to work on. I am stiff as fuck and have a lot of work to do.

It’s been a while and I hope you are all crushing it. Giving a little update. Currently 13 weeks out from a couple shows coming up in October. I started dieting easy at 20 weeks out to give myself plenty of time and come in with undeniable condition so we’ll see. Linked back up with Kurt Havens for prep. I never stopped my communication with him but just wasn’t being actively coached.

Running 4 day U/L split
Cardio 6 days per week 30 minutes, target HR 130
Steps 11 K on top of the cardio
Training day 200p 400c trace fat
Non training day 200p 200c 30g fat
Gear 400T 400mast 300primo 6iu GH

Been dropping about 1% BW for last 3-4 weeks and latest average is 178. Funny thing is I’ll probably step on stage at same weight from 2 years ago but I know the look is going to be much different this time around.

I won’t be doing frequent updates on this. Just every once in a while. Staying locked in and focused on the task at hand.
