The Gasman Files

Get Shredded!
You will be fine. Deep breathe and relax. The less you stress about it the better as your cortisol from prep itself is through the roof. You have 5-6 days to limber up, the swelling to go down and the adrenaline of show day alone will get you through. Just don't stress. It's quite normal to have injuries on show day. Last year I tore my hip flexor 4 weeks out and could barely walk, but you manage through it.
I know, i hear you bro. Just very frustrated at the moment having put all this work in and one week out, boom. Plus having slept like shit for the past 6 weeks isn't helping with my current mental state. I've had my back lock up on me like this before and based on prior experience, I should be ok.

Injectables pulled as of yesterday and I’m beyond relieved. Tired of pinning everyday especially since it’s been these short esters, nothing but PIP central.

Winny at 200/day. Can’t say I’ve personally experienced any of the common issues people associated with winstrol so that’s a positive.

Weight 177.6 after back to back high days.

Last leg day before the show on tap today along with medium day carbs (450).

Will post some check in photos later.

Less than a week out and I’m having a fucking setback.

My left lat has been locked up and swollen. I’ve nothing but issues with this since introducing the short esters. Anyways, went to pick up a couple 45 pound plates and pulled a back muscle trying protect that sore lat.

Walking around like a 90 year old for a minute until it loosens up. Couldn’t come at a worse time. I think it will be ok by show time but man, when it rains.
Damn bro that sucks... I get spasms like thar sometimes... cause I'm old! LOL. Have you tried rolling on a basketball or something similar? My old lady grabbed these crazy things "Chirp Wheel". I laughed at first but Holy crap they're awesome. Either way hope it loosens up for you.

Thanks bro….its already getting a little better; just the timing was freaking me out.

Never tried one of these but when I go from sitting to standing, if I arch my back it loosens it up pretty quick. Similar to the position this contraption would do i imagine 👍🏻

Yet comes with 3 or 4 different sizes, so you can get up higher or lower in the back. Unfortunately for me, I need the extra assistance anymore.
Glad it's coming along bro.

odd jump in weight this morning (180.1)

Kurt wants to pivot and run a low day (300 carb)

Figured with test coming out of my system things would be dropping but here we are. Let the head games continue.

The mindfuck is real! Don't think about it man.

Weight increase could be some inflammation from your back.

Definitely a possibility, just want to bring my best. I’ll do and have done whatever it takes at this point
You'll definitely bring your best, especially with Kurt backstage or rather hallway in EH Conn. :)

He'll keep you relaxed and on point which is huge! Just please enjoy the whole process...the tanning, the atmosphere, the fellow competitors as you can make long time friends with some of them. Usually super cool dudes. You're going to do really well.

4 days out from today.

Kurt is happy and thinks I’m right where I should be. I need to listen more.

Plan is to add HCTZ starting tonight, 25mg. Continuing today with medium day macros (450c).

Tomorrow will definitely be a high day and HCTZ at night.

Fatigue is high but I’m hanging in there.IMG_8109.jpegIMG_8110.jpegIMG_8111.jpegIMG_8043.jpeg

Looking good Gasman. Did you sustain an injury in the past to your upper abs at one time? I’m asking because my top abs can get squirrelly sometimes and I don’t think I’ve ever been injured up there. And mine don’t stay weird 24/7. Hard to explain but good luck man. You’re almost there.

General macros, I known how to eat and he trusts my judgement
I hear coaches all the time say this way of doing it is for "lazy" coaches. I think the complete opposite. You see very clearly, very quickly, if the client works hard or not with macro diets. If you need an exact meal plan to follow, you probably need to be baby sat through the whole process.

If I was a coach, this is how I would weed out my clients. I'd drop guys left and right if they can't follow a macro based plan.

Exactly, it’s not that hard. And if the macros are set right, you can’t get away with eating shit anyways.

Not that im aware of, probably just how the insertions are

Eh, I'd prefer this on prep so I don't have to think at all. Look at the update and eat what it says
You would be surprised how many competitors (mid to high level) have no idea about nutrition or how to structure a diet, so they go with meal plans. Some also are so busy with work, sponsors, family etc...they don't want to think about it, which I respect. You can be super successful doing it either way, but many people will try to squeeze in crap when you just give macros. That's why I have access to their macro trackers. :) I would say it's 70/30 macros to meal plan in my experience of what people prefer.

Yea I guess it’s all preference. I pretty much eat the same stuff every day. But some days I may eat 4 meals or sometimes 6 so I like having the autonomy to make adjustments on my own.
