Sunrise over the Universe.

Pinned Friday and bloods on Monday. It is super high considering I am at 760 on 250mg per week. I was at 1018 on January 31 at that amount.
Maybe I am becoming a "hyper responder"?

I dropped 3.2 pounds between Monday and Thursday. Changed the diet rotation to 2/1 Meal Plan 1/Meal Plan 2.
Nothing else changed. I am definitely dropping fat. It is very noticeable in my clothing and the thickness of the skin in some areas. A very good place for 13 weeks out.
 
Time for an update. I had a bit of a plumbing crisis on Sunday and Monday. Wore my body out contorting and crawling on my knees. It's hard to remember the days when that had no effect on me.
So I took the last few days off of training but, of course, maintained every other discipline.

And now for the bad news...BG 116. I was out of HGH for over a week but pinned 3iu on Wednesday morning. I hope it is transient. My "sugar" was already starting to creep up and I ordered some berberine. It came the same day as the HGH so I will wait a few days and see if it drops some. Otherwise I am on the berberine and hope that works. If not, I will stock up on basal insulin before I head back to the LOTF.
Aside for quite a bit of joint pain and overall not feeling great, the progress seems on track. My numbers are similar to last year at this time but I think I am much leaner at this weight than last year.

Sorry to disappoint you guys but the "Claus" part is on hold until after the contest season. I am sick of fucking with the beard and it is 12 weeks out and time to get even more serious.IMG_4166.jpeg

My guess is that the weight gain is due to inflammation.
I had very bad week. The beginning was the plumbing thing which wrecked my body, so I took a few days off. I trained on Thursday and had a great workout.
I came home and took my bi-weekly injection. That evening I had incredible discomfort and pain, causing me to not be able to sleep. Every one of my joints was throbbing in pain.
I am not sure if it is the gear or my body. It is entirely possible that my body is just tired of steroids. I have never had an issue with any of these compounds before.
I took another four days off and trained again yesterday. It was a good session. I am taking at least a week off from pinning.
Thursday or so, I will pin some testosterone and see how it goes. If there is no problem, I will try a different compound a day or so later.
I know that I need to figure out what is going on.
As I said, it is entirely possible my body is just done with all of this shit.

I saw back where you dropped the Deca to 200. Possible that the joints are just drying as a combination of low dose Deca plus shedding fat? My injured (wore out) joints kill me when I go cut the Deca.

Tbh that sounds like Covid. My biggest symptom was joint pain, which in turn made me unable to sleep.

Hopefully it’s something minor that will pass

I was actually off deca for a few weeks and just added it back a month ago. I use 100mg or less for joint relief. Definitely not the problem.

If it was going on a while, that might be the case. But since this is post injection and resolves itself within a day or so, probably not covid.


Last year on prep I noticed that I would do injections then feel like shit all day. I started doing all pinning just before bed t give my body 8-10 hours to deal with it.
Same sort of thing this year, just way worse.
Last Thursday was the worst ever.

Not "steroid flu" by any means. Remember, I have been around gear nearly 40 years and I am pretty well versed in the ins and outs. This one confuses me. What I haven't ever been before is, knocking on the door of 62.
I have an idea it could be something else altogether but I don't want to start Dr. Googling just yet. Need to suss out a few things first.

I got the pre-workout which is basically non-stim but has the nootropic stuff in it. Also a mixed berry cheesecake flavored protein. Training going well. Still lots of shoulder pain restricting a few movements. I got a decent sunburn at the beach yesterday so I think my slight gain is from water retention. When I get sunburned my skin gets thick and the veins disappear.

Coach hasn't changed anything.

I will go to testosterone and masteron only this Friday, which is 10 weeks out.
500 Test cypionate and 200 mast propionate to start. Will go to 300 at the 8 week out mark.

Everything seems fairly consistent, except the weight gan. I have been eating the exact diet for at least 6 weeks. Coach wants me to start T3, which I feel is a bit early, but I defer to his vast experience.
I think he is probably trying to keep me as heavy as possible since I don't need to make weight. I know he won't sacrifice condition for size though. He knows how close I got last year and that I should have been in the smae condition at the Universe that he got me in for the North American.

I also switched to my 8 week drug cycle a couple of weeks early:

500mg of Cyp per week
200mg of Tren enanthate per week
200mg of Mast propionate per week.
60mcg of Clenbuterol per day
25mcg of T3 per day
3iu of HGH per day-AM

Training is good in spite of my wickedly painful left shoulder. I am currently training through it. I can still see fat coming off, thankfully. He has me fluctuating the fasted cardio; 50 minutes one day, 35 or 45 the other. We did this last time and it worked. He had me doing 2.5 hours of cardio in 2020 so anything less is welcome.

Is there a reason you take your HGH in the morning vs. before bed?

Not really. It is part of my routine in the morning before hopping on the bike.
If I were younger I would still use in the morning to not disrupt my natural GH “pulse”.
But I doubt I naturally make much GH today.
It’s a simple single dose. If I were using 6iu, I’d probably spit AM/PM.

Been super busy this week getting the place ready for hurricane season since we won't be here. Lots of things to arrange for our absence, like setting up a caretaker for our tortoise, finding someone that can pay our rent and utilities and generally looking over our place for what could very well be five months or more.

Still lots of problems with my shoulders, primarily my left. It is hard to do many exercise so I am working as best as I can around it. I have a lot of pain and difficulty rotating my arms back for a proper front double bicep pose. My fat is coming off and weight is staying pretty close to 230. This week is the first that I have had a steady drop of less than a pound every three days or so.

We are our biggest critic. Quick to point out every imperfection in ourselves. That’s what drives us to work hard even when fatigue, pain, Father Time or even common sense says otherwise. Been following along and pulling for ya. At the end I hope you feel accomplished and at peace with the results because that is a win.

My diet is on previous pages. I think I added it up to around 3k. I am on a 2/1 diet rotation for a few weeks now. My body responds better to fats than carbs as far as weight loss goes. In fact, last year I was stagnant three weeks out until I added a bunch of fats and a bit more protein.

There is a school of thought out there that the high carb/low fat gets you ripped. Not everyone. The biggest thing I have learned in the last decade is that most are prescribed fats that are too low. Maybe not for short term, but if you talk about results AND longevity, I now believe fats are critical. Plenty of fats (not in excess) are better for you than a low fat diet.

People likely don’t know that I was a proponent of John Carrillo ‘s diets and methods in 1988 when they came out. It worked for a 25 year old but it would never work for me now. I was doing nothing but eating and shitting all day. How I did this hokding a job, I’ll never know.
The diet I ate is the 5k model (if any of you have access to any of his manuals). It was 60/30/10 carb/protein/fats. The worst was the two heads of broccoli per day. At least is seemed like it.
He was also big on stretching and flexing in the gym. You looked like a cunt doing it back then but now, you can get away with it, since every twig tock hero is posing it up now.

Holding on to your legs is the greatest challenge past 50. Especially late 50s. I firmly believe if you don’t have decent sized legs by 40, you won’t get them. You can keep them looking good though. Smaller but still looking like proper leg shapes.
I had big legs in my 20s, my only saving grace. In fact, the judges at my first show told me I was “leg heavy”. Not to many novices hear that I bet.

I trained with lots of different guys back then, including Olympians. Back then you could get a “pick up” training partner just by interacting with anyone else about to train legs. EVERY guy I trained legs with in 1987-90 was squatting at least two more plates than me. The self-imposed peer pressure was through the roof. Once I said I felt bad, those guys have to remove all that weight before I could do my sets. Their response was “Man, it’s no big deal. Now shut the fuck up and grind out your set.”

I wish there was a way today’s gym bro’s could experience how awesome it was in the gyms back then.
Today it is so bad I am almost ready to quit.

The other day I go stand looking down the dumbbell racks at my gym here in Cabo. It is probably 50’ long with 8 different “stations” including 5 benches. EVERY single station had some cunt sitting in it, leaning forward and texting. I wanted to take a pic because it looked like a meme. But I didn’t have ready access to my phone because….I WAS THERE to work out.

I do the same. I'll have notifications for texts and emails but I won't bother to look at them while I'm in the gym. When I'm in the gym it's nothing but focus. Nothing else matters.
