Protein powders, how do you utilize them...

It's the 3 or 4g of collagen they add. Not a fan, but it does taste good!
Hmmm didn't realize that's what it was and I guess I never looked at their blend enough....figured it was a mix of iso, concentrate, casein.

So I know Collagen protein is bad b/c the incomplete near zero AA profile. Basically sucks on it's own. But if it is blended and surrounded and combined with better whey sources that has leucine and other essential AAs....does it make it a little better. Almost like it can leach off the whey?

Spit balling....but really if 1.5% of your daily protein is shit collagen and the rest from good sources....probably not going to see much difference on those margins.
 
I've been curious about that one, I'll snag a tub! Thanks for letting me know it's good to go, it was one that I was definitely on the fence about and I'm a PB fan..rarely have it so this is the next best thing outside of the Naked PB powder I add in for that flavor without all the fat.
I've legit made Ryse Skippy & Jelly Sandwiches in a crux. or put it on a waffle with zero sugar syrup. it's a fucking dream

It's only 4g of the 30g of protein. Totally fine IMO. It's a very solid company and product.
 
I utilize protein powders as part of a meal replacement blend.

I’ll do:

55g RedCon Mre
40g Redcon Mre Lite
100g frozen blueberries

Macros:
460 cal
50g protein
50g carbs
6.5g fat

My preference is non-whey and ideally non-dairy protein powders. Ghost makes some good Vegan protein products too. If I use whey, it’s isopure or Transparent labs, 0.5-1 scoop per day max.

My daily protein target is 280g, sometimes 350+ and whey contributes to digestive load in such a way that it makes it difficult to get all that food down.
 
I do a 50 gram, 600 calorie shake twice a day. My work schedule makes it hard to get food in throughout the day during the week.
 
Yea I prefer real food also, but my last cut i went 4 plus months with no cheat meals. My shakes kept me sane lol. Sometimes the last few macros are hard to dial in with real food where shakes make it easy. I never rely on them but I like to utilize them to make things easier. I don't know about you but I'm very basic my meals are bland and the exact same thing every meal, every day, every week ect lol.

I try to eat a variety of clean food to keep things exciting. I will have a dessert every few days. I just try to keep it real and live my life. If I feel like I need to drop a few pounds, I just bump up the cardio.

Gonna have to try this. Wife does a psyllium fiber husk mixed with cherry juice to make a fiber heavy jam with no sugar and this would be an amazing combo! 🤤
 
Bulk Supps sold unflavored whey at a really good price for a while, but now it's essentially the more expensive than most brands that are flavored. Was a good pull for a while
I noticed this too and was bummed about it. Used to do a flavored scoop and then an unflavored to stretch the more expensive flavored ones.

Because it's had nothing added. Nothing cheap
