Patrick Arnold died

Wtf? I’ve always been a big fan of the mad chemist, hoping this isn’t true….

I just seen one of his close people post it I hope it's not true I tried to look on Google and his Wikipedia just announced it

I knew the guys at ErgoPharm pretty well back in the day and moved a ton of their Andro sprays.
I don't like making post like that I seen a couple of people post on different things like reddit and Instagram then look his name up and on wiki and seen the same date today so I knew I can count on one of y'all to get to the bottom

That's really sad news. I talked with him through DMs back in the early 2000s. He asked me to write to him when he went to prison. I would print off articles and mail them to him with letters. He wrote me back a couple times. So young.

Guilford, CT –Patrick Arnold American Organic Chemist and Owner of Proviant Redux PR Labs Dies At 6O

Patrick Arnold, a controversial yet influential figure in the worlds of organic chemistry and sports supplementation, has passed away at the age of 60 in Guilford, Connecticut. Arnold’s complex legacy is inextricably linked to the modern dietary supplement industry and its shadowy intersection with professional athletics.

A trained organic chemist, Arnold gained notoriety for introducing potent compounds into the mainstream supplement market. He was instrumental in popularizing androstenedione—famously used by baseball star Mark McGwire—as well as 1-androstenediol and the stimulant methylhexanamine (DMAA). His most infamous creation, however, was the designer anabolic steroid tetrahydrogestrinone (THG), dubbed “the clear.” Undetectable in standard drug tests, THG became central to the BALCO scandal, which implicated numerous elite athletes and reshaped global anti-doping efforts.

Arnold’s work existed in a gray area, pushing the legal and ethical boundaries of performance enhancement. He served a prison sentence for his role in the steroid distribution conspiracy, yet he remained a polarizing symbol of biochemical innovation. Supporters viewed him as a brilliant entrepreneur who exposed flaws in sporting regulations, while critics saw a man who undermined fair competition and athlete health.

His passing marks the end of a chapter for an industry he helped define—one characterized by rapid scientific advancement, relentless marketing, and ongoing ethical debate. Patrick Arnold’s life serves as a potent reminder of the powerful, and often perilous, interplay between chemistry, commerce, and the human drive for peak performance.

@Arnold is PA the same guy that I think that went by Mike Arnold on IMF years ago? If so, he wrote some great articles and essay style posts full of information that was brain candy to read, he was a very smart guy.

60 is too young man, damm, anyone know what the COD was?

No.

I remember him telling me how he would go through all the old steroidal formulas created decades before that were never brought to the market and he would tweak, test in the lab and inject them to see if the effects. That's how he came up with all his prohormones. Super interesting guy.

Mike and I are friends and I still rep for him and MA labs and MA research.

Def both he and Pat are brilliant so thats why you are confusing them.

I recall sending Pat a bottle of Iron Mag Labs R-andro for @Arnold years and years ago bc true R andro was pretty difficult to source back in the day. I don't know if it is anymore?
