In my State we have at least one Police officer outside every school and several security guards as well.

They park a cruiser right in front of the main entrance on the curbs where kids enter and stand armed in bullet proof vests watching.

It's a super deterrent.

In the great state of Texas, the shooter walked right past the armed police officer and into the school. The cop watched him walk up and enter, and did nothing! There were a number of deaths after the entire police force and the border patrol flooded the hallways. Not one of the cops were willing to do shit, except for the one officer who was recorded saying that if one of his/hers ( I can't remember the sex of the officer) kids were in the classroom they would have already been in there taking out the shooter.

American society is supposed to have been founded on individualistic ideals, but that is far from the current reality.

Churches, state, communism, capitalism, they are just different methods that the owners of the system have used for indoctrination and control.

I would like to think that science would solve these problems, but there would still be some value system that is instilled and imprinted on individuals.

I personally don't see a solution to the problem, and I challenge anyone to come up with one.
