Yes, I am aware that diet and exercise are key. However, if I’m correct (tell me if I’m wrong), steroids increase nutrient partitioning, causing more calories to go to muscle building rather than fat storage.
I don’t have a specific goal weight, but I’d like to be at ~18% body fat (I’m female)
It is sad that the concepts of steroids and what they do has been so distorted by government, media and now the internet, that people think steroids actually do the (good) things people are led to believe. This now seems to mean that one can’t go to the gym and have any progress without steroids.
The question here is; OP, what exactly do you think steroids do. This leads to the next question; What do you think they can do for you?
What steroids do in a “cut” has little to do with “cutting fat”. Oversimplifying, they merely maintain or conserve muscle in a calorie deficit, the one you must do to burn fat. But just as dieting alone isn’t the only thing that will decrease bodyfat, steroids alone won’t conserve muscle. All of this and EVERYTHING to be sure, has to do with diet.
A woman can reduce fat and tone or build muscle with diet and proper training alone. Men too.
If you are talking about competitive bodybuilding, that is different. Just trying to be the best you can be without seeking a competitive physique is pretty damn easy for normal folks with the right direction.
I coach primarily women but none which are even remotely “bodybuilders”. I interact with coaches who do have competitor clients and dope them. Even with the slightest drug use, these women change. Some of these girls look pretty rough compared to pre-PEDs…all to win a bikini show. It is ridiculous in my opinion.
I am friends with pro bodybuilding women, bikini through bodybuilding. All of these women have made the committment to go the distance, knowing they are getting masculinized.
I can’t imagine someone doing this just to “look good at the beach”.
OP, Imake no assumptions about you as I don’t know you. I just hope that you can learn something here before you unwittingly do irreversible harm to yourself.
Welcome to the forum. We need more women here.
