So about a month ago I got really constipated, couldn’t eat for a week, only sip fluids. I took a laxative because my stomach hurt so bad, after throwing up and going to bathroom for 15 hours of hell I was very dehydrated, I sipped pedilyte for few days till I was able to eat again, I can only eat very very little at a time now before getting full. Few days ago my gf said my skin looking yellowish, come yesterday I had to come to ER, liver specialists tells from my blood I take test, now recently I got few bottles of Beligas cyp, started it around same time I started to get constipated, doc says he thinks the brand switch of test kicked off something in my liver to raise my bullibary which yellows the skin. He specifically asked me if I switched brands, I used drugs about 10 yrs ago , used needles, he says I probably had hep c, but some cure themselves so my enzymes weren’t high where he thinks the yellow from hep c, 3 liver doctors think this is from brand switch of test , also taking anavar….. what some thoughts on this? I appreciate your input

Someone else with more knowledge will chime in. Listen to your doctors and get better. Probably just need to give your body a break for bit. Stay positive!

Are u or were you using opiates or opioids or kratom?

Buy some pink Himalayan salt. Jack up water intake.. take a teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt w the water 2x a day.

You need to be sipping water all day...small amounts.

But def need to listen to ur doctors more then me or anyone here.

Get injectable glutathione and start injecting 200mgs eod. Shoot me an address and I'll ship u some free.

You have all the symptoms of liver stress but also we need to know the cause. Short term anabolic use is very very unlikely .

Long term opioid dependence is more common.

Do u have labs...

We need a lot more info.

Maybe @hoyle21 or @Matt88 has some additional input as an ER nurse.

I 100% agree with everything you mentioed Wes.

Anavar won't stress the liver that much but if it's fake anavar and it's actually dbol, winsteol etc then it will depending on dose and the lengh of time you been using it. How long on the "anavar" ?

How much water do you drink per day normally?

We need a lot more information. Have you had lab work prior to this acute illness? Need to see current and old lab work. Make sure you black out your personal information if you post it here.

What medications do you normally take?

What's your ALT and AST?

If it was some generic injectable testosterone you bought at a gym that someone brewed I'd really wonder if they used a hepatotoxic solvent bc they don't know what they are doing. There is definitely some people in the world home brewing some garbage and saling it at the gym etc. Is any of your test from some guy down the road?

I have a lot of questions. Try to give us some more information.

for a little reference if you have labs....
Alanine transaminase427 IU/L0 - 44 IU/LH
AST196 IU/L0 - 40 IU/LH

These are mine and my doc told me I need to cure hep c and sent me to a specialist to get rid of it in August...?

Before taking TRT I was super tired all the time tho.

Now I feel fine but am getting rid of it :)

Just so you dont panic if your levels are super high I was freaking out for a minute.

Same I had hep C and my numbers were astronomical. I took mavrit and was cued in a couple months. Then a year later started aas.
I wonder if that shit has anything to do with why I aromatize so damn much..

Why are you asking a bunch of dudes in an anabolic forum when you're in the hospital surrounded by doctors?

:)
Great question.

Truth be told we have a lot of legal and illegal tricks.

IV glutathione for instance. A doctor will never recommend but If I was in the OPs position I'd have a bag hanging w an IV and 600mgs of glutathione and a bunch of other vitamins in a drip.

I'm not suggesting it...but think the movie Mad Max.if this was the end times u guys would be paying our forum for off label remedies.

Fret not it may come to fruition.

When shit hits the fan I'm gonna be a millionaire...I'll easily be able to burn the dollars for fire for days.😜🔥🔥🔥

(Sorry if my sense of humor doesn't shine online)

Ya I’m agreeing with this… from my experience doctors and especially Emergency room doctors don’t know anything about hormones. Now in this situation… I understand he’s speaking with specialists and it’s not necessarily about hormones but rather other bodily functions. I would trust MANY men on this forum over a doctor in certain scenarios. Certain situations not all. So coming onto a forum like ours and asking questions to guys that have had similar tests and to some who know how read them… is a great tool to have. No one here is saving lives but it’s always good to get more information before making decisions.

I’ve actually sat in an Endo’s office and talked him under the table about hormone function and men’s bodies. What made this special is he actually challenged me and for 20 minutes I made this P.H.D question his entire life when a high school education made him feel about 1/2 tall 😂

The 2 people I know who turned yellow ( yellow eyes and yellow skin) were in liver failure. One got a transplant, the other didnt. Both were dead in under 2 years.

ER doctors are jacks of all trades and masters of none. If you really are yellow you should be seeing a Hepatologist. Constant vomiting and constipation are signs of liver failure. Your liver is your "processor" and vomiting and constipation means it is no longer working. I spent 11 days listening to the head Hepatologist and his numerous residents and fellows explain everything about the liver and explaining that although the liver can heal itself once you have gone yellow, serious, permanent damage has been done. Like I said, both of these people are dead. One was 35, the other 39.

Stop using steroids and do not under any circumstances, consume alcohol. Im sure that if you are in the hospital, you've been told that but most people, once they feel and look better, refuse to go cold turkey. They will drop their dose of steroids or just drink a 6 pack of beer instead of a 12 pack. Unfortunately, even a health scare as serious as this wont deter 90% of the people from making the same mistakes again. The old "my grandpa drank a fifth of whiskey a day and lived to be 90" reasoning.

How's your gall bladder?

How's your gall bladder?
They said they think I had a blockage but it’s gone now, I got released yesterday without them pinpointing the exact issue, the 2 liver specialist are convinced it the changing of testosterone brands…. I’ve switched plenty of times, I guess Beligas don’t agree with my body. I’m going to stop using it and test their theory

just my opinion but id go see another specialist. turning yellow is kind of a big deal and Its hard for me to think changing the brand of testosterone is responsible unless its not coming from a reputable brand or has some weird thing added to it that is hurting you. but again no facts behind my opinion. just want you to stay safe :)

Wishing you a speedy recovery man! Have you explored the options others have mentioned above? It seems really odd just switching brands would cause such a drastic change.

Yes I’m actually going to see a specialist next week, thanks for the feedback

This is exactly why I asked about your gall bladder. It can cause the exact symptoms you are describing. A "blockage that disappears" is usually a stone passing. The stone gets stuck, things back up and you develop symptoms, and then the stone passes and everything "magically" clears up. If they haven't checked, they need to look and make certain you don't have more stones. Stones are far more likely than "switching gears" imho.

They did an ultrasound they didn’t see any stones or blockage…. I really hope it’s not the brand I loaded up on it, I would hate to sell it all

You do realize that this is just “low hanging fruit” for these doctors, right? If they don’t have an answer, just go to the steroids. Did they say what component in these different brands could cause this? No need to answer, I already know the answer.

I had a couple physicians at the VA warn me about taking supplements. They even mentioned that taking liver support supplements caused liver failure in their patients. I asked which specifically? Of coursethey didn’t reply. I then asked what they would administer IV if a patient presented with liver failure. The answer was not very convincing as they stumbled and mumbled. I asked if they would give glutathione? Again, no real response.
The bottom line is that, unless you get a shit hot physician, they usually will explain things only as far as to lose you. If you don’t get lost in the details and have pertinent follow up questions, they will become dismissive and think of you as “Dr. Google”.

Legit conversation I had with my doc:

Previous Checkup
Doc: "Your blood pressure is still a little high, let's try 80mg of lisinopril every day....it's at the high end of dosage, but I have little old ladies twice your age and half your size taking that much."

Current Checkup
Doc looks at my chart: "Oh my God, who prescribed 80mg of lisinopril every day for you?!"
Me: "You did."
Doc flips pages.
Doc sheepishly: "Let's cut that back to half and see how you do."

Guess who wanted to do blood work that day and check my liver and kidney function? No reason in particular, you know...just standard stuff.

What a POS! !! I cannot stand certain physicians !! One of my brothers old roommates(a C student at best ) is an MD ..it’s laughable because he’s a complete idiot but his whole family are all doctors so he barely made it through med school. I figure he’ll end up in one of those Tv Shows anesthetizing females . He only got into a top school because his large synagogue & fam made it happen. It’s irritating watching an idiot get to do that job. (His wife is fugly so ….he’s got that going )

I asked my last doc about BP meds. He went straight to lisinopril. I asked him why not ramipril since 5mg of that could do the trick. He just looked at me and said “We use lisinopril.” So I asked if he knew the difference in the all cause mortality of that vs ramipril?
He gave me the smug “We use lisinopril.”

These motherfuckers are reckless and unchecked. I think I already talked here about my current doc that wanted to put me on statins because of cholesterol but when I asked him why and informed him my cardiac calcium score was 0.82, he backed off. Obviously annoyed that I got the scan on my own.

Sick care, not health care. You know the VA will never apologize for forcing the vax.

Ive used plenty of Beligas stuff and never turned yellow 🤷
Docs are majority just idiots pushing as many people through the process per day as they can, they prescribe whatever they own in their stock portfolios and no matter how bad or obviously they screw up, they will blame you. 😐

Ya I second that… I used a lot of it too. Never felt bad or slightly anything OP is going through. I read a poster talk About low hanging fruit. His post is spot on and I agree with all of it. It’s the easiest thing the doctors can latch onto. However, did they run any tests to check for solvents or anything specific? They didn’t. Because hearing you state a change in Testosterone brand… that gave them something to grab onto.

Even with that theory… the amount of time you were taking it and the amount you are taking… how would that affect an otherwise healthy young man to that extent? I don’t buy it.

That’s why I’m in the camp that’s a little concerned here. If you turned yellow that’s really really bad. And if your liver was at that state… it could mean something going on/has been going in your body. For how long? These are all questions I’d be asking the specialists because the human liver is one tough organ. It can take ALOT and still keep on moving. So at your age and with what you’re doing I just don’t buy a simple change of Testosterone is going to cause that.

I do hope you get some answers and get this under control. Best of luck and be safe

JJ

Ya they didn’t say what could be the issue with the brand change, they sending me to a specialist, it’s just amazing after 20 vials of blood they took, they sent me home with no answers and it’s reputable hospital….. Robert wood Johnson
