How my fellow hunter eating in the stand for these all day sits and still hitting macros? Normally in the past I would just snack all day, but now getting serious with counting calories and macros, how you doing it?

I was never one to sit all day, one hunt in the morning for 2-3hrs and one in the evening. So you can eat around that easy. I did take cliff bars to the stand, sometimes a sandwich.

I can’t sit a stand so I pretty much only stalk (although I can sit in a duck blind for hours - but that’s usually with company). My pack always has several food options though, so I can hit what I need. Usually go a bit heavier with the before and after meals as well

If I’m unlucky enough to put an animal down, that’s when the real challenge to hit macros comes in depending on how far from a road I am!

I’m not a bodybuilder, though, so if I miss my targets by a bit on the few days a year when I might be up to my elbows in carcass, I’m good with that, so maybe a different level of concern about it too

I dont sit all day every day. Only a few days during the whitetail rut. Only if things are moving in that area. But I try to pack some peanutbutter sandwiches and good snacks, but Im sure its not protein heavy. I try to eat after the hunt, but that depends on how the hunt went. I almost never can eat before as thats 4AM, thats usually just a pre-workout snack.

Yeah, Im not body builder, just a joe trying to get jacked. I have next week off, so looking to hit it hard for the whitetail rut.

I bring a couple protein shakes, some jerky, prepped chicken and rice meal in an insulated container and a few easy snacks like rice cakes or a protein bar

Disappointed nobody has said it yet. But can’t forget the little Debbie’s! But yeah I don’t do all day sits. I do morning and evening hunts

Big turkey sandwiches are my go to. Along with PBJs. Trail mix, cliff bars

Eat a good breakfast before hitting the woods and then a good dinner when you get out.

If you're not prepping for a show its not a big deal if you over or under shoot your food for a week.

Enjoy the woods, good luck!!! Post up if you get one.

I've got to hit the range and put my rifles through their paces. Probably roll with the 30-06 and 6.5 this year.

Make up a batch of pasta with plenty of lean meat in it....can be eaten room temp and will be nice and filling.
Lots of other good advice here too- trail mix (i would make some to keep it more macro friendly) and jerky are solid options, and packing a sandwich.
Big breakfast, big dinner, and you're covered....

Tell you what- I'll come cook for you and prep your hunting meals if I can get some venison! :ROFLMAO:

This is the only way to go. Those all days sits are a waste of time.

Deal! I usually try to get at my limit. Cant have enough venison!

I hardly sit all day. My season at home is long and I take a few weeks in the fall in the midwest. I get work done, have my coffee, work out most mornings. 99% of the time noon to sunset is when I see movement. But if I did I keep it light so I don’t need to poop. Big meal after.
