Hughmangoes transformation log

SB Labs
Rest day with 40 mins incline treadmill.

Had some beef noodles at a restaurant today. They had macros posted in their menu so I thought it wasn't too bad. Once I tried them and went back to look at macros I realized I got bamboozled big time 😡 logged it using ai scan instead which added a bunch of extra fats and I'm also going to eat less carbs for the rest of the day. I hate restaurants. Noodles weren't even that good.

Yeah, I never trust restaurant posted macros. NEVER accurate and always under reported.
Even if I analyze it with chatgpt or something else and get higher values I still don't feel at ease. I don't like that I have a single meal and then have to think about it for the rest of the day, not much joy in that.

Yea i rarely get anything at restaurants. Generally just a salad with everything on the side and heavy mustard hotsauce on the veggies. So I can at least munch on something.

Same thing for me just bothers me too much mentally not worth the effort.

What works for me is sticking to particular types of restaurants. If I go out to eat it is almost always going to be sushi or Thai. With either, it is very easy to eat super clean and get a pretty accurate estimate on the macros. If I eat out anywhere else I overestimate the macros and always add about 30% extra fat to the count because everything is cooked in oil or butter.

I would rather have my count be a little high than way under and eat a bunch of extra fat. 🤷‍♂️

Yea the few times I've eaten is just sashimi and white rice.

Yeah, I do something similar but go at least +50% They literally put it on and in everything.

They do it's crazy. I asked for grilled vegetables one time and I specifically requested no oil.

Literally could see the butter oil bottom of the plate.

Ended up not eating it.

This sucks when you plan on eating and they end up bringing something which you know isn't right. Like the dish I ate today I KNEW it wasn't as healthy as it claimed it was, but I was starving so I decided it was a future me problem.

Do you carry a backup lettuce on you to crunch in case of such emergencies?

Yea im usually prepped like 99% of the time
It's only happened to me couple of times but I generally can figure something out.

Baked potato with nothing sirloin something like that.

Or I just don't eat and load up on diet soda or unsweetened tea lol

i saw these guys live when I was like 11.

g3 concert. Got to see steve vai and joe satriani as well!

lately ive been doing a bunch of bike with the steam deck, or an audio book.
I usually watch podcasts or random shit on youtube, but sometimes in mood for some tunes.

What do you play on steam deck? Doesn't distract much?

i like those tower defense games. get me kinda pumped to keep up with the cardio.

yet another zombie survivors is really fun and pretty intense, orcs must die, ball x pit, bloodshed i also like those card deck builder games aslo.
slay the spire, ballastro starvaders.

if i play like a real game, with a story and stuff, i end up going to slow or catch myself not even pedaling anymore lol.
has to be something a little more intense.

if i catch myself falling behind i just turn it off and watch youtube or something, but with the tower defense games doesnt really happen.

and yea i do the same, sometimes not in the mood for a game so ill watch food comparison vids alot. not sure why i like those lol.
something like 5 chefs review frozen burritos lol

I wonder if doing this would be like a torture and If this kind of torture/stress would lead to higher TDEE 🤔
lucky you, steams having a tower defense sale right now lol
sometimes it does feel like torture, but when i was cutting I found living vicariously through my kids hit the spot.
i never bought them so much fast food just to watch them eat it lol :ROFLMAO:
now that im eating again, we arent getting any fast food at all, although about to start again for my son to put some weight on him.

Lower A today

Did half the workout in the morning before I had to hurry home, finished off the remaining and some ab crunches in the evening. Still struggling with the workouts taking too long. Think I'm going to get some kind of wearable band which will scream at me with alarms in between sets, otherwise I space out and the workouts drag for too long.

The workout felt kind of meh and I felt bad for having high carb day with a mediocre workout. But whatever, I'm just sticking to coach's plan and doing my best.

03/04 – Lower A

Seated Leg Curl
• 2 × 12 @ 140 lb

Leg Extension
• 12 @ 212 lb
• 2 × 10 @ 212 lb

Leg Press
• 15 @ 331 lb
• 3 × 12 @ 441 lb

Pendulum Squat
• 2 × 10 @ 66 lb
• 8 @ 77 lb

DB Front-Foot Elevated Split Squat
• 2 × 15 @ 77 lb

Standing Calf Raise
• 18 @ 135 lb
• 3 × 15 @ 135 lb

Ab Rope Crunch
• 17 @ 135 lb
• 13 @ 135 lb
• 20 @ 121 lb
• 15 @ 121 lb

250 carbs is sooo much food lol too bad I didn't have anything good on hand and was too lazy and busy to cook, ate a lot berries though. Going to buy some nice fancy japanese rice to treat myself if I get another high carb day.

Rest day with 40 mins incline treadmill.

Tried some bodyweight dips at the gym today just for fun, apparently I can do a few with shitty form 👍 pull ups are still far away though

Was eating bad today.

Wife was making a dessert in the morning, I lost control and grabbed a few cookies and some whipped cream. Didn't weigh anything and just shoved it in my mouth. 02/10 enjoyment 10/10 regret for the rest of the day..

Didn't have any food prepped and didn't feel like cooking, so I ate yogurt bowls and drank a bunch of protein powder, which I know isn't ideal.

Weekly weight down 1lb, 236.4 avg.
Carbs got cut a bit throughout the week with another nice bump on Wednesday 160/110 + 275. I'm going to eat so much rice.

Had a decent lower workout today. Barbell was taken so I did sldls with dumbbells. Could barely hold on to the 110s even with my grips, so embarrassing.

Food was better today, fartmaxxing with 1.5lbs of brussel sprouts.

Went shopping for some pants today as I gave away most of my old ones over the weekend. A bit annoyed that I couldn't find anything good even though I am now 100lbs lighter.
Ridding yourself of clothes that don't fit (and never will again) is always a great feeling

Yea im now at the point I need 2 sets of clothes.

Bulk maxing at 200+ and cut maxing at sub 180.

My wife super annoyed her shirts were fitting me sub 180 lmao.

Paybacks a bitch honey

Rest day with no cardio today.

Got home a bit too late and didn't feel like going out of my way to get cardio done at the gym, went for a walk instead. Will cover the list time throughout the rest of the week.

Lately ive been managing to get 9-10k+ steps without getting too tired. Finally noticing that it's getting noticeably easier. I also noticed that I almost completely stopped having mid-day crushes and naps 👍
