So as we all know it's good to drink a gallon of water a day for general hydration and health. But especially anyone using aas, and more like 1.5 gal. at that. So my question is does anyone have any strategy to getting that down everyday? I have an easier time shoveling food down my throat then water. I need some suggestions on how you guys do this. Strategy? Scheduled times of day? Just wing it?:confused:
 
I carry a 32oz shaker cup that I only use for water. I mean it is attached to me lol. Ice water is the BEST in the summer. I'd rather drink it rather then anything else. If I feel I'm coming up short on water I start pounding it down.

Being a bigger guy I have a hard time still meeting my intake needs. The doc says I'm not drinking enough and I tell him what I do and he says it's still not enough per my bloods. I swear I fill the thing up 7 times a day.
 
Carry a gallon with you; make sure you drink it during the day and take another to the gym and chug pre-during-post + during your after workout meal.
 
Never had a problem. I guzzle 2-3 bottles of water every meal. On top of the time I spend at the water fountain at the gym.

I can't drink cold water fast. So I generally just keep them room temperature. I find I can drink an entire bottle all at once that way whereas cold water I have to take breaks.

I can't stand room temp water. But when it's cold I chug it! How big are the bottles? Those small bottles or water are like two drinks for me lol.
 
I did the math and it takes 7 1/2 16.9 oz bottles of water to equal a gallon. I'm trying to get that down each day but some days I can hardly get 3 down. I know before I start my cycle next week I'll have to commit to it so that's why I'm getting some suggestions and feedback on the matter. Thanks everyone for the tips.
 
I have to start early in the day so first thing when waking up but you can count other fluids so its not that tough.

Try a water depletion sometime. There are days you need to load 2-3 gallons a day. Its insane.

impossible lol. Wow I can't imagine taking that chore on.
 
Force yourself to drink a glass of water before you do things, for example: drink a glass before you eat a meal, before you brush your teeth, before using the restroom, etc. Figure out some of your daily tasks and have a glass of water before/after doing them. Also add some extra spice to your food so you reach for more h20 to cool down your mouth. I down 2 bottles in the morning when I first wake up and eat breakfast/eat morning vitamins. And like some others have said keep a gallon near you so you have it ready to go and aren't running to the sink or the fridge.

it IS insane..I've done water loading/depletion a few times in conjunction with carb cycling and it does have a dramatic effect on water weight.

This is a great idea! That is definitely up my alley as far as motivation to take action. Like, before I reward myself with breakfast, I HAVE to drink a bottle. Great idea! Starting this right now! Before I make another post I have to drink a bottle. Lol, but seriously... Thank you.
 
I drink 3 gallons a day easy as fuck. I work outside and the first gallon is gone in 3-4 hours. If I'm not pissing clear I know I'm not drinking enough, I'd be thirsty as fuck if I only drank a gallon and a half a day
 
If you are lucky and have or know an army or military medic you can receive lactated ringers through intravenous. That treatment is equivalent to 2.5 gallons of water. And it doesn't leave feeling full or bloated. Or if you know a nurse they can provide the same treatment. There are also hydration clinics in my area that charge for this shit.

While I was going through Special Forces SFAS, it was in the middle of June hot as fuck. The cadre issued every soldier oral rehydration salts. I shit you not these oral rehydration salts are the shit. After one training event I didn't hydrate. I had a fucking headache and popped open the oral rehydration salt packet popped it into my canteen drank the whole canteen. And within 5 minutes I was good to go.

i put cayenne pepper on my egg whites this morning. And now I'm drinking a bunch of water. Good advice.
 
I drink about 1.5 gallons a day and piss about every 10sec it feels like.
