So for over a week now I have this kind of ache in my left arm. It's mainly in my bicep area. Kind of can feel it in my hands like I feel like moving my fingers feels different then the right side if that makes sense. No chest pain no shortness of breath. Have slight jaw ache but been clenching my teeth due to stress. When to my PCP and they did ekg and all came back. Have an appt with my cardiologist mid July. I just hear stories about people with only arm ache weeks before they had a heart attack. Been working out fine and just hit arms last night fine. Wondering if I should get a troponin blood test? Any help would be appreciated.

With these types of questions and concerns, just wait until you see your specialist, don't ask people on the internet.
There's too many factors and influences that could possibly in potentially be behind this.

Seek professional medical advice, as you already have scheduled. 🤙

Medic here. I can chime on on this topic.

So, cardiac issues can sometimes blend into with muscle issues. It's rather common with people that do insane amounts of stimulates in a short time. You get a strange chest pain that people often assume it's heart related, but it's actually costochondritis. A very crude rule of thumb with chest pain is that if palpation (touching) the pain makes it worse, it's not cardiac.

Now, it is hard to truly eliminate cardiac issues here as I don't have a lot of med info from you. I'd need like vitals, history, and your EKG to see what's going on. Info like age, past medical history, meds, habits, blood pressure, heart rate, etc... All that is needed to make a better determination.

Do I suspect it's cardiac related? Not really. If the pain is localized in the bicep, that is most likely muscular. I'd be more concern if you described a constant radiating pain down your entire left arm or you occasionally feel like something is crushing your chest and nothing makes it feel better.
