First Cycle Review/Tips

I'm Brand new to PEDs, never done a cycle before but the more I’ve researched this topic the more I’ve come to understand there is essentially no reason not to do these for the strength and social benefits they can bring and am looking into doing a first cycle. I’ve gone through the first cycle wiki on r/steroids a few times now and written out what I think is a proper first cycle, was hoping to get thumbs up/thumbs down if I understand a first cycle correctly as well as based on my current physicality if anyone had any other advice to give. Advice is appreciated.
  • Height – 5’10”
  • Weight – 183lbs
  • Age - 35
  • Gender – M
  • Bodyfat percentage – 19%
  • Experience level
  • years of concurrent training – 10 (health and fitness oriented lifting, no aspirations for bodybuilding)
  • bench – 235 max
  • squat – 345 max
  • dead – 435 max
  • Goals:
  • Training for aesthetics on a casual level, strength goals are to achieve the typical Big 3 goals plus a little extra. Aesthetic goals, better looking delts/shoulders. Curl goal of curling 50’s for reps single arm.
  • I am hoping to cut while also build moderate strength gains on this first cycle to get familiar with the requirements of this kind of lifestyle and commitment.
  • Previous experience with dieting. Dirty bulked to 201. Cut to 167 after bulk. I have a good grasp of how to program a diet for lifting goals. Fully intnend to get my BF% down below 15% before starting any of this.
  • Based on reading through the wiki here is what I believe my potential first cycle could look like:
  • TEST - Testosterone Cypionate – 250-300mg every 3.5 days (Weeks 1-16)
  • 4 x 10 mL vials (500mg week)
  • Pin every Mon and Thursday.
  • ORAL - Anavar/Oxandrolone – 50mg daily (Weeks 10 – 16)
  • 210 x 10mg tablets
  • LH - Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) – 250iu EOD (Weeks 1-16)
  • 4 x 5000iu vials + 4 x 2ml BacWater vials
  • Schedule 1 Entire Cycle - 750iu week (3-4 days a week in evening)
  • Stopping use before starting PCT
  • AI – Aromasin – 12.5mg EOD if E2 symptoms arise until E2 sides dissipate
  • 2 x 30tab pack
  • (PCT SERM) - Nolvadex – 20mg ED (Weeks 19-24) (first 2 weeks 20mg ED last 6 weeks 10mg ED recommended or 20mg EOD)
  • 56 x 20mgtabs
  • Reduce to 10mg daily if sides
  • Start 14 days after last pin
  • Support – Entire Cycle - Red Yeast Rice Powder, P5P, Vitamin-E, SAMe, Multivitamin, Fish oi
 
Have you gotten blood work done? If not, do so first. Also, seeing a current pic of where you are at would be helpful.

You don't need 500mg for your first cycle.

No Anavar

No HCG

Need to see where estrogen is before cycle as an indicator of what may happen in cycle, but that is a good ballpark to start if systems arise. May not need if cycling lower test, which is recommended.

PCT not bad.

First cycle should be limited to test only imo. It’s better to gain off of less and taper up over the years. For example if you blast a gram of gear now you’ll get great results but if you want to keep going you’ll have to take a gram or more for every cycle following. I try to limit what I take until it is necessary to increase the dose or add a compound.

Also as stated above running test only will allow you to get an understanding of how your body reacts and how your bloods turn up. Not saying it will be the case but you could be the portion of the population that has a bad reaction to gear in which you’ll want to be taking as small of a dose you can.

Other than that your plan looks good.
 
I agree with ketchup, get bloods done see where your at, before middle after, just up your test first so you know how you react to just that then maybe you next cycle add something, I'm doing just 350 test right now and it's going just great, be patient, your gonna want to add shit in thinking more is good , just stay the course, this is the best advice I can give that I have received from guys who know alot more than I ever will

Great job providing information brother. It does sound like you are serious about your goals and did a great job researching. You will learn lot more but have to tell you pretty impressive my friend. With that said this sport of ours is like a long distance run and not a sprint. It takes short to medium cycles with good diet, training, rest in between and another cycle after recovery time to fine toon and meet your goals. I have been in this sport over 30 years and still learning and adjusting.
Like others I would recommend 8 to 12 weeks of 300-400 test alone and you will see very good results from it. No HCG or oral anabolic needed at this time. I would do blood work to determine if you need AI. I don't take it and if your estrogen is under control you don't need it. Also, if little elevated its fine, because you need estrogen to grow. Once you finish take the same amount of weeks off, do your blood work to make sure you are fully recovered and plan the next cycle. Good start brother and best of luck.

So I would certainly argue that there are compelling reasons to not be on steroids but you seem to have done your research and can do what you’d like.

Only addition I have is I’d recommend you cut some more fat before you do a cycle. Get down to 14% and then do the entire cycle in a surplus. You won’t lose much in the way of muscle that way and then you’ll be able to reap the full benefits of the testosterone both aesthetics and strength-wise.

just up your test first so you know how you react to just that then maybe you next cycle add something, I'm doing just 350 test right now and it's going just great, be patient
