Blueprint for completing 75Hard. Can be applied to other programs.
1. Research the program. Either listen to podcast #208 or buy the book. One must know the workings of the program inside and out.
1. Forgive Yourself. Go to the accountability mirror then forgive yourself. You put yourself in this position. You must come to terms with the fact you are solely responsible for where you currently are.
1. Read or listen to Atomic Habits by James Clear. One must understand how and why we habitually commit bad and good habits. Bad habits got yourself in this situation. You will need to develop a new system that works for you instead of against you to achieve your end goal.
1. Keep the promises you make. The way to build confidence in yourself is by keeping the promises you make. By keeping these promises you build confidence then you start stacking wins. Day by day you stack wins and change your beliefs in yourself. Keep a journal or log to visually see proof you are making progress.
1. Embrace the Suck. It's a great book by Brent Glesson. It's also a great way to look at the program. You must become a master of the monotonous. The ability to day in and day out crush repetitive activities. Also fuck your feelings. If you are lead by your feelings you will go nowhere. You will need to tell your bitch voice to fuck off and do the work. The bitch voice will come up with excuses why you should quit. Hey, your tired, you had a long day etc. Fuck those thoughts and feelings. They will sabotage you.
1. Change your inputs. Change what information you take it. Either by books, YouTube, Podcasts etc. Find people that will inspire to push you forward. I used David Goggins, Brent Glesson, Jason Redman, Tim Grover, among others. People who have been through hard work and trying times that puts your journey into perspective. You are capable of achieving great things with work and effort.
1. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. You will need to get up earlier. You will need to make sacrifices that involve your time. Expect strains on relationships, friendships. You need to budget your time which means less time for other things. When you're with your significant other make sure you are present and attentive. It will be difficult at times because you will be physically and mentally spent. Put the effort in to being there. it will go a long way.
These will help you accomplish great things. Keep you in check. Keep you pressing forward to your end goal. Enjoy the journey!
