Mountain Dew Zero on a cut is a blessingNo, I try to stay away from artificial sweeteners. I rather have real sugar if I'm going to have it, that being said. While on a cut I will indulge in some artificial sweetened soda

I've honestly never tried it sounds horrible thoughMountain Dew Zero on a cut is a blessing![]()
Truenutrition is your answerI drink a lot of protein shakes that are loaded with fake sugars. I know they are notorious for causing joint pain and inflammation but I need my shakes.
Curious if its bc of health reasons, gut issues etc. I love sucralose, brown sugar erythitol, and alluose. Stevia can fuck off
Do you bring the 2 liter to the gym?Fuck no. I guzzle that shit like it's fucking ambrosia, the nectar of the gods. 40+ years of 2+ liters of diet Pepsi, diet Mt. Dew, diet whatever every day. Whatever the artificial sweetener of the day is, I put that shit on whatever I want to taste sweet to avoid real sugar and the calories that come with it. My pre-workout, a caffeine pill and diet Pepsi. My drink of choice in the gym, diet Mt Dew. First drink in the morning, diet Pepsi. Don't give two shits thought about it, and I'm doing just fine.

Well, as an actual scientist and published researcher, I have done just that, because I was also worried about it. As it turns out, the studies which produced cancer in lab mice used between 500 and 1,000 times the dose of a single 12 oz can of diet soda, per pound of body weight. So, given a mouse's size, and a human's size, this equates to 2,000 to 4,000 cans of diet soda a day (assuming a 200 pound person, and a 1/2 pound rodent). I am a scientist, and I believe in science, but this is the problem with sensationalist bullshit. The original studies did not seek to prove artificial sweetener causes cancer, they sought to prove how much sweetener does it take. They concluded, it takes a metric shit tonne. However, the popular media gets a hold of it and screams, "artificial sweetener causes cancer!" Yes, of course it does, at 1,000+ times the dose per day, but they "conveniently" forget to tell you about the 1,000x part. You know what else will kill you? Water. If you drink it at 100x your daily limit. You know what else will kill you? Oxygen. At just 3x your daily limit. Everything is a toxin if you go to absurd limits. As for artificial sweeteners, all available data suggest it takes an amount so egregious, you would first die of hydration poisoning before anything else, and there is literally almost zero risk in the substance itself. The problem in our society is not the science or the scientists, it's both CNN and Fox News telling half the story to get likes and views, and to keep us scared and at each others throats. There is literally no credible evidence of artificial sweeteners causing harm even in very large but still reasonable doses. What's "reasonable?" Even 2-4 liters of diet soda a day is still 500-1000 times less than what it takes to cause damage.Go look up the data on the clinical rat studies in which artificial sweeteners gave them all cancer. And ensure your daily intake amounts are far lower based on body weight. Lol

All that aside, we're in a fucking anabolic steroid forum for fucks sake. If we're shooting Tren and dBol and we're worried about diet Coke, we need to seriously get some fucking priorities straight!![]()
