I go with calrose. It’s sticky and I can wrap it with some seaweed.

Yeah they’re all just guessing and sharing their opinion. Cause only a Chinese guy on here willing to share their ancient secret knows the answer! 😂

I like calrose as well, with some shoyu on it!
 
Personally I just make plan old jasmine rice in the rice cooker. I love the flavor of jasmine rice. If I’m feelin froggy I’ll drizzle a little honey on top with salt and pepper.
 
Looks like Jasmine rice gets the vote

And crazy enough I dont think I have ever had Jasmine rice. Now I am gonna have to try it.

I work with a guy who is from Costa Rica. We talk about food a lot and this guy eats rice every day. However he never heard of any other kind of rice except jasmine rice before . I found that to be insane lol he said they eat rice breakfast lunch and dinner over there and never had anything other then jasmine rice before rice lol
 
i do minute rice lol. its quick and easy and easily transportable and easy to measure out since i am dumb.
 
Long grain white. half water and half bone broth. Slice up a tomato and throw it into the cooker.

Jasmine Rice is my go to. Add a little cilantro and lime for some flavor sometimes. Unless I'm making homemade sushi, then it's short grain sushi rice with a pinch of sugar and rice vinegar.
 
Jasmine, fast digesting carb source. Plain and bland. (y)
 
1 cup jasmine to 1 cup water in a preasure cooker. 3 min cook 10 min depressurize. Good to go.

Koshihikari rice to start. Then you can venture in to different varieties of any wierd sounding rice found at specialty Japanese food retailers.

You get that rice and gently rinse it 3-4 times in cold water. Then cook it in the rice cooker. Once done you fluff it with a pair of chopsticks and let it rest 10-15 mins.

It comes out so amazing that you can eat it plain. It will change your life. No other rice comes even close - I've tried every variety Thai, Italian, Spanish, Indian, Persian, Uzbek rice, black brown red etc.

You also don't refrigerate it. You either keep it on warm in the rice cooker for 24-48 hours. Or you freeze it in portions and then microwave for a min before eating. It comes out as good as fresh.
 
I haven’t used Jasmine rice before, but from what I found, 1/2 cup of Minute Rice is equivalent to about 1/4 cup of Jasmine rice. I’ll grab a bag from Sam’s Club.
