Coin Kaepernick Convinces Nike To Pull Flag-Themed Shoe

Colin Kaepernick apparently has a lot of influence over Nike ... because the quarterback-turned-activist convinced Nike to nix plans to sell a flag-themed sneaker Kap considered offensive.

The sneaker giant was set to put a new colorway of its popular Air Max 1 sneaker on the market this week, featuring an old U.S. flag with 13 stars from the American Revolution ... but according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Nike pulled the shoe before it went on sale because Kaepernick complained.

Nike even sent the sneakers to retailers, but then the company asked to have the merchandise back.

Kaepernick, who is endorsed by Nike, reportedly reached out to The Swoosh with huge concerns after images of the shoe with the Betsy Ross flag started being posted online ... he thinks the imagery is offensive because of its connection to slavery.

We're told Kaep also took issue with the fact that two prominent white nationalist groups -- including the Patriot movement -- use the flag as a symbol for their group.

Kap was not alone in his criticism, tons of users on social media reacted to the imagery with similar concerns.

According to the Smithsonian, the Betsy Ross flag was created way back in the 1770s and its 13 white stars represent the 13 original colonies.

I support his decision to kneel as a silent protest against police brutality. Which brought awareness at first then got spun Into something else..... but this is complete bullshit. The original flag design as an offensive symbol liked to the Era of slavery... total and complete bullshit. Think I'm gonna protest and never buy Nike shoes due to them caving in on this issue.

In the effort to eventually bring in Globalism and Socialism. Don't be fooled for a moment. This has nothing to do with race, or slavery or bias.

They do not want you to be proud to be American. You can celebrate Pride if you are Gay. But not if you are American. And not if you are white. Which is the majority of Americans.

Kneeling in the NFL was the same thing. They don't want you to be proud to be "American".

The 16 year plan was to bring socialism/communism, re-education to this Nation. Think the Book 1984. Even the Movie Running Man with Arnold foretold what was planned and intended to come.

I remember that- he literally ran them over but seriously fuck the Packers- I am a Cowboys fan first and a Bears fan default- I respect Rodgers but I want to see the Cowboys beat him when it counts- they may not ever meet again in the playoffs but it would be nice for the recent version of the Cowboys to beat the Packers in the playoffs.

The more I think about this the more I think this is just a PR woke stunt from Nike. I saw the shoes and they are nothing special. How many did they make? Supposedly they were already in stores but not on the shelf yet? July 4th is tomorrow when were they planning going on sale? How the hell does that asshole even know they exist? Doesn't add up.
