Hey everyone —
This is a little embarrassing to post, but I’m really looking for honest insight. I’ve had this chest issue pretty much my whole life. I was chubby growing up, but leaned out a lot once I started playing football and baseball. Despite that, I’ve always had some fat or fullness in my chest area that never really went away — even at lower body fat levels.

I’ve been in a consistent calorie deficit since late March. I work out 6 days a week (mostly weight training) and aim for at least 15,000+ steps Monday through Friday, so I feel like I’m putting in the effort.

I’m also currently on TRT — now at 150 mg/week (was 200 mg up until about 5 weeks ago). Not saying the dose change is the cause, just including it for context.
Just trying to figure out:
  • Is this likely just stubborn fat/moobs, or does it sound more like gyno?
  • If it’s moobs, has anyone had success reducing or reshaping that area with specific exercises or strategies?

Appreciate any honest feedback — thanks in advance.

*Today, I completed my bloodwork, as I have lowered my dosage from 200 to 150 mg a week to see if this helps lower my Estradiol levels. I also had an ultra-sensitive test included in this lab work. I'll share the results in thread I have attached once they are available. *

nvm turned up my brightness a bit and its gyno. looks maybe 3-4oz per side, pretty mild. given that its been a life long thing u prob cant do anything but surgery. u can try 2.5mg letro a day for like a week and see if it changes at all, but if not then surgery's the only option.

its also possible that it's inflamed and could shrink to about 1/3 or so of this size; arimidex would be able to do that. then it would be like an ounce or 2 per side and really not noticable. but if not then theyre stuck this size til surgery

Looks like gyno to me
Looks like gyno. Get absolutely peeled and see how much.
Thank you, everyone. As I mentioned, I have always struggled with my chest development. I know I have only been on TRT at dosage levels that were recently lowered from 200 mg to 150 mg. I appreciate your suggestions, Wardamn, and thank you as well, Astro; I know both of you have responded to many of my posts and direct messages. I am not going to blame adding in TRT to my cause, but more so the years of bad diet and training had some up and downs from my 20s. So, I recognize that my diet and training may be more significant factors.

I can only find a couple of pictures from the early to mid-20s to illustrate that it has always been a struggle. Should I create a plan to address the gyno, or should I focus on my diet and training while ensuring that my estradiol levels are in check? I am hopeful that the lab results will come back favorably. If not, I know I have AI available. I have been holding off on using them because I do not currently experience any side effects from elevated estrogen levels.

It's both. Lose as much fat as possible and you'll see how bad it is.
Thanks guys! One of my goals is to continue losing as much body fat as possible. Should I incorporate anything new (letro/arimidex) at this stage to assist with this process, or should I simply maintain my focus on fat loss while monitoring for gyno symptoms and, of course, keeping an eye on my estradiol (E2) levels?

It depends on how self conscious you are of that area of your body. There’s a ton of guys with some sort of gyno, but some it’s hard to notice until they’re shredded. I for example had gyno since puberty, then eventually I figured if I built a chest it wouldn’t be noticeable and to my disappointment once I built a chest it never looked like pecs, but tiddies under a shirt which pissed me off even more. When I had my gyno surgically removed the surgeon also sucked out some fat around my chest area, after it healed I finally had a chest, not two cones underneath lol

I have managed to cope with this for a long time, so I guess I will refrain from adding in anything for assistance. My primary focus remains on losing as much fat as possible to gain a clearer understanding of my progress. I am curious about the potential benefits of using something like Letrozole or Arimidex, as mentioned earlier by Valdosta, while I continue to lose weight, to accurately assess my results. I suppose this is the consequence of being overweight during my childhood.🤦🏼‍♂️

I will continue to further research additional exercises to enhance and define my chest.
